Because Touhou 8 is probably the most comfortable to learn the basics with?
Grind the other games as much as you would TH08 and you'll clear them eventually too.
Also, Normal Ending #5 means you went Stage 6-A, why not try Stage 6-B?|

Clocks on Atoms vary from 800 MHz to 2.13 GHz.
Most are at least able to run it, how smoothly is another question.
the ~2GHz ones probably run it smooth enough to be playable.

You can just graze/block komachis alt 236B/C
