Imo, Left 4 Dead 2 is much easier than the first, in the first one, I actually had to try on expert, in L4D2, everything just feels a lot easier. Although I gotta admit, Realism is pretty awesome.
What is this Realism mode btw?

So I was just on The Parish.
We were all doing the badass teamwork thing and sharing pills and shit. It was fucking epic. At one time there was like five witches and we managed to survive it using only melee weapons.
Now, since The Parish is the last campaign I knew the ending would be fucking awesome. I got more excited each stage. On the final part, two people died at the beginning after being hit off the bridge by a charger. After that, it got harder and harder until we all died. When I respawned, I noticed two of my kickass teammates had been swapped with these random Russian guys. They kept trying to talk to me with their crazy symbols, and I ignored it since I really fucking wanted this achievement. About halfway through, the German dude disconnected, leaving me with the Russian guys.
They played pretty damn well, but they didn't attempt to help me or the bot unless there were special infected around. Near the end of the bridge, two tanks started fucking with cars and shit and one of the Russian players says "new level?" I was like "I'd like to get this one done really", then they started the fucking vote thing. I was THIS FUCKING CLOSE to finishing this awesome campaign and they fucking changed it to Dead Center.

People don't respawn, only with defibrillators, you don't see the highlight outline silhouette stuff in-game, infected is stronger, and headshots count more, it's like Expert difficulty on crackRemco32 wrote:

Realism expert isn't THAT bad, get yourself a deagle(Just a personal preference, melee is so much better.) and an AK and 1-2 shot commons.
Just be prepared to crown witches, all 4 of you stand around the witch and BAM.

For sure, man. Me and 3 friends tried doing Dead Center on Realism Expert. We died. A lot. Then they tried to just have 2 people go through the mall and they actually made it.lukewarmholiday wrote:

@ neo@lex: I'll probably help you do that one once my internet stops failing(hell, it's failing constantly as I make this post).
We did Dead center with 6 restarts.
We went on with 15 restarts because we didn't have a proper strategy. We did the whole 2 people go up, 2 stay on the bottom. But I kept charging for the ones on the far left(you can already see me getting bombarded by special infected).

I tried Dead Center Expert with one pub team for about 3 hours without getting through the mall. Two days later, new attempt, new team, blew through the entire campaign without any restarts.

30 minutes left until the devs are supposed to play The Passing online, and the damn thing is still not out. Meanwhile, the Xboxfags have been playing it all day. Yay.
Mutations are special weekly game modes, like unlimited chainsaws only, or Versus on Realism. Still not clear whether they're going to have unique ones every week, or cycle the same ones over and over.Remco32 wrote:

Pretty underwhelming for a DLC campaign much like Crash Course was, but unlike Crash Course this one added quite a bit of new stuff so it balances out. The bits of interaction with the L4D1 survivors are good, but certainly nowhere near as frequent as people were hoping.

Can't get it to work on my friends dedicated server yet, since "map" command makes the server crash. Tried loading the scripts with "script_execute" and "director_begin_script" to no avail. It just came out though so they'll probably find a solution soon. My router is also being gay so can't use my listen either. We should get this rolling though, some of these sound really fun.

Chainsaws (coop) - Everyone starts with a Chainsaw (unlimited fuel) and a pistol (unlimited ammo), there aren't any other kinds of weapons spawning, so it's just what you have at the beginning.
Four Swordsmen (coop) - Kinda like Chainsaws, except you start with katanas and no pistols, and there are only S.I., no Commons.
Hardcore (coop) -If everyone dies, you have to restart the campaign, so no restarting maps, you have to restart the whole thing!
Headshot Only (coop) - Self descriptive, commons only die with headshots.
Last Man On Earth (singleplayer) - It's you... against the S.I. (extremely scary)
M60s (coop) - Survivors start with only M60s (unlimited ammo) and a Desert Eagle.
Max Specials (survival) - It's survival, with 8 S.I. at any given time!
Bleed Out/Temp Health (coop) - Everyone starts with 100 decaying health (pills-like), there are no medkits, only pills and adrenaline.
Protect the VIP aka Gnome (coop, versus) -There is a gnome next to you at the beginning, carry it through the campaign, person carrying the gnome can't use weapons and the gnome attracts infected!
Realism Versus (versus) - You already know what this is, versus with realism modifications.
Linear Scavenge (scavenge) - 2 Cans spawn, get those 2 in and 2 more spawn, proceed...
No Health Versus (versus) - No medkits, no pills, no adrenaline.
Versus Survival (survival) - Self Descriptive, it's a lot of fun.
Madness (coop) - There are TONS of common infected, they are VERY angry and there are no S.I., you have enough trouble as it is.
Versus Coop (versus) - It's coop, with a twist, you play as the infected as the bots try to make it through the campaign alive.

Important announcement: This week's mutation is fantastic.
It's a good way to practice pushing the Jockeys away, etc.
