- The spacing used throughout the section at 00:57:386 - is quite misleading. You are spacing out 3/4 rhythms the exact same as 1/4 rhythms. For example, the rhythm you map on every repeat of the current phrase is this 00:57:387 (1,2) - , a 1/2 slider leading into a circle a 1/4 beat away, spaced out at 1.6 DS. But then. about a measure later, you space out a 3/4 slider to circle with the same distance snap. This is very confusing to read, and I'd just space out the 1/2 slider to circle a bit more. This can be found in the following sections:
00:59:739 (1,2,1,2) -
01:02:093 (1,2,1,2) -
01:04:445 (1,2,1,2) - - 01:25:622 (1,2) - It triggers me that the second slider of this part doesn't line up with the curve of the first one, here's a suggestion on how to fix it and not risk the stack, but add another.
01:24:592 (1,2,3) - Move this to X:99 Y:179.
01:25:033 (5) - Move this to X:134 Y:102.
01:25:475 (8) - Move this to X:44 Y:115.
01:25:916 (2) - Move this so it stacks under 01:25:033 (5) - and 01:25:475 (8) - . - 01:49:740 (3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5) - These patterns feel very linear, as opposed to the sharp jumps that you've incorporated throughout the section. Messing with ctrl+g or just redoing the patterns would to the trick.
- 01:53:269 (6) - I don't think this slider is very warranted since there's quite a strong synth sound landing on the end of it. Turning this into a 2 circle jump with the second circle placed at X:0 Y:257.
- 02:23:269 (1,2,3,4) - I think this would play better if you ctrl+g'd 02:23:563 (2) - and ctrl+j'd 02:23:857 (3) - , then restacking it on the end of 02:23:269 (1) - .
- 02:32:093 (1,2) - I think softening these sharp curves would be a bit more aesthetically pleasing.
- 02:34:446 (1,2) - I strongly believe that a jump this big isn't necessary, please nerf this. :c
- I think slowing down 03:20:328 (4) - is warranted do to the growl in the background.
- 03:22:681 (5) - ^
- 05:25:034 (1,2,3,4,5) - I don't think you can justify a jumpstream when it's first used at 94% into the map, please space out 05:25:254 (4,5) - the same as the rest of the stream.
- 05:31:651 (1,2) - What a sudden spacing decrease D:, I'd space out 05:31:799 (2) - a bit more.
- 05:32:093 (1,2,1,2) - I think it'd be nice if you kept the up-down flow throughout this by ctrl+g'ing 05:32:681 (1) - and 05:32:975 (2) - .
- 05:34:666 (4,5) - Same as what I said above about the jumpstream.
General Thoughts
Nice map and song! I'm liking the wub approach you guys took with this , I only have some beef with one thing though. There's a section of the map where the spacing increases, decreases, slider speed, and overall flow feel so sudden and arbitrary to the point where it's almost bipolar. This section is 04:24:446 (1) - . 04:26:651 (1,2,3,4,1) - You have super slow sliders, a big jump, and super slow sliders right after it, even though the music doesn't have the energy to support such things. Other examples are 04:30:475 (2,1,2,1,2,1,1) - , 04:31:799 (2,3,4,1) - , and many, many more that you should keep an eye out. I'd love to see this ranked though! Quite the interesting map, gratz to all the collabers..
