Ok, this is just an idea, and idk if there is like a suggestions thread, but I'm just going to put it here.
When I play osu!, I turn off all the hud (no score, nor leader board shown) I feel less distracted this way, however when a break happens, the leaderboard is shown but the score is not. I find myself having to hit shift tab to show the break, and then again to get rid of it, if the break is really short, this sometimes causes me to miss the next beat.
Maybe its better to have the score show up during breaks too, or have an option to have it show up.
