Sometimes the osu! chat can get super spammed and I would to be able to make the chat expand so that it would fill the entire screen!

It's not likely that there will be changes in the stable version (except some stuff). Use an IRC client if you have to chat with an extended view.

All efforts are towards adding features in lazer and pushing it forward as a new client.
Current builds will receive bug fixes and minor additions.
