I noticed from the start of the map that the drums on 1/2 have more spacing than these downbeats and I would agree with it, it's fine because they are stronger, but the fact that this one 00:55:169 (3) - is spaced for a very big distance confuses me. decreased a bit, though its fine
  2. 00:45:075 (1) - 01:13:954 (1) - 02:03:300 (5) - 02:09:188 (5) - 02:12:552 (8) - etc, there is actually a lot of such shit - Avoid these from touching the UI on 4:3. Actually, there cannot be any reason why UI would overlap gameplay objects. they're fine
  3. Why don't you want to emphasis this sound 00:48:860 - ? It actually sounds the same as 00:53:907 (6) - 01:02:879 (6) - and other 1/4 sounds you emphasised. i only map 1/4s in the next part if they are in the end of the tact. here i prefer to ignore them

Consider replacing 02:05:823 (1) - by a slider+circle or anything else, ups to you. 02:59:655 (1) - ;)

i havent fixed that things for normal because easy is soontm and if u mentioned them because of spread, i guess its better to keep them since there will be an easier diff, but if not ill fix them

@alacat fixed ds on 02:23:767 - and removed kicks so people won't misread those parts. Honestly i don't get your last point as 02:07:785 (6,1) - is quite big already :(
@lasse rip my little kicks i will miss them, on 02:23:767 - i applied alacat's tip and increased ds so it's a lot more readable (and as people weren't introduced to kicks, they will not expect that i guess). Also, 00:48:860 - is quite audible and i don't feel like i am removing the drum's focus so if possible i'd like to keep

  1. Ascendance needs the video to be added to their difficulty. Also, you can probably remove the countdown for it because it's not needed/inconsistent.
Ascendance's Easy
  1. 00:51:804 (4) - instead of the 3/2 slider i'd try a couple of 1/2 sliders that'd work better with the vocals and keep the rhythm density consistent.
  3. 01:22:085 (2,3) - the spacing here is inconsistent with visually similar pattern on03:16:478 (2,3) - it's a tiny thing but it can be fixed easily.
  4. 01:46:197 (2) - doesn't seem to represent the leading instruments well. If anything, I'd try to add a couple of 1/2 gaps as they'd be playable enough at this BPM and represent the drums better. example
  5. 02:24:748 (2) - this is where the slider should begin (1/4 earlier) as that's where the drums start. I know you don't want to use 3/4 gaps, so replacimng this whole drum part with a spinner might be a good alternative.
  6. 02:41:711 (3,4) - if I were you, I'd focus on the drum line here as it does the 1/2 thingy it did on 01:45:636 (1,2,3) - and it clearly sounds stronger than the vocals.

    Could use a couple of mods before being pushed further, but it's quite a decent difficulty.
Collab Normal
  1. 00:51:244 - the beat here is a strong vocal sound with some drum support, whereas 00:51:524 - is considerably weaker. Yet, 00:51:524 - has a clickable beat and 00:51:244 - doesn't. Maybe we could try two 1/2 sliders?
  2. 01:03:019 (1,3) - would be amazing to have both of these sliders use identica shapes. it sort of needed as the vocals repeata very similar sound twice.
  3. 01:39:468 (2,3) - similar vocals, same pattern, so the sliders could be visually identical to each other. This would give your style an extra bit of consistency, which is quite important, especially in a collab.
  4. 01:46:758 (3) - the actual beat peaks on 01:47:038 - therefore, leaving the beat unclickable makes little sense, I believe. try replacing (3) with a single circle on 01:47:038 ?
  5. 03:18:440 (5) - I would remove it as there is some 1/4 beats going on and this circle sort of blends with them making the rhythm feel a bit crumpled

    Pretty nice, also notice how Mars is wearing her dress back to front.

  1. 00:34:702 (3,4) - try to ctrl+g these two to highligh the way vocals go there. It might not be the most concentional way to use rhthm, but it certainly works with the vocals there.
  2. 01:29:655 (4,1) - 01:31:617 (4,1) - notice how the first one has a more intense beat yet less spacing emphasis. Shouldn't it be the other way round?
  3. 02:06:945 (3,4,5,6) - I'm in love with the square here, my only wish is that 02:10:309 (1,2,3,4) - could use a similar pattern

It's a bit weird how I was initially using the same difficulty name as you do. Not sure how this matches with the lyrics, though.
  1. Can we take a moment to talk about the way you do jumps? You start with a jump for the drum beat on 00:32:459 (2,4,1) - then a similar drum beat is not highlighted at all 00:36:103 - and then there's a stack instead of any kind of jumps 00:40:309 (7,1) - at this point, I thought you might be following the vocals, but if that's the case, then 00:43:674 (2,3) - the word 'love'should've definitely been highlighted with a jump of some kind, and the word 00:41:150 - they is not clickable at all, so the jumps there got me all confused.
  2. 01:06:664 - this beat is identical to 01:06:945 - but they are mapped in a completely different way.

    I need some kind of a push to get a better way of handling the jumps, though I have enjoyed the visuals and patterning in terms of visuals.

fixed all for normal
in the last diff i was only following vocals (00:40:309 (7,1) - this is kinda the same as 02:14:515 (6,7) -, i did it because i wanted to highlight vocals and tried not to skip those really strong sounds on downbeats)
00:43:674 (2,3) - increased this a bit cuz i dont really want to ruin the blanket pattern
00:41:150 - making all of these clickable would be a really bad idea since ill have to remap the whole map to get rid of those 1/1s

okay, my main concer ain't about some specific pattern but about the entire idea of the diff
firstly, patterns in which you go back n forth on a circle or overlapping stuff like 01:59:094 (3,4,5,1) - or 02:57:412 (1,2,3,4) - because of this diff feels kinda compressed (idk if used this word incorrectly) and plays pretty in a weird way tbh, it's not something I would call an unrankable issue but from my point of view changing stuff here is totally worth

decent one, even these things I've written here aren't that solid this diff is totally fine to be ranked as far as I can see

  1. 00:43:674 (2,3) - a slight increase did not seem to change much, if you ask me. The word doesn't feel highlighed enough, at least to me. It might work as a inverted flow pattern

  2. 00:49:001 (4,5) - aren't they rum based? I'd use a new combo to warn players that these stand out of the regular vocal context.
    Note: 01:22:645 (4,5,1) - same?
  3. 01:09:748 (1,2) - hey, let's try a stack or a bigger jump. Stack would highlight the pause it takes to breath, and a jump would bring out the vocals.
  4. 01:20:122 (4,5,1) - assuming (4) is likely to be dropped earlier, (1) has no spacing emphasis at all. When compared with (4,5) it makes (1) feel unstressed. Increase the jump here or decrease (4,5)?
  5. 00:54:608 - this is where a diffrent line starts. Wat the slider does, is basically merging two lines and mixing them, which, is probably something that shouldn't be happening. Give 00:54:608 - a clickable beat?
    Note: though it does happen multiple times, I wouldn't really agree with it, even if it consistent. See 00:58:533 (1) - 01:03:019 (1) - for reference.
  6. 01:38:346 (4,5) - that felt off-putting due to the way you generally space 1/4s. Are you sure that the difficulty spike this jump creates is worth it?
    Note: 03:23:767 (6,7) - same.
  7. 01:59:935 (2,3) - seem to lack spacing emphasis as in vocal-based mapping the word "never" is strong both in terms of the meaning and the amount of noise.
  8. 02:08:066 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - 02:10:589 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - I'd use smaller spacing for the first one, it does not feel quite as strong as the oher parts that follow later.
    Note: 02:10:589 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - that's an interesting take on this part, I've never even considered mapping it this way, and yet it makes so much sense. Love the idea!

  5. 02:24:748 (2) - this is where the slider should begin (1/4 earlier) as that's where the drums start. I know you don't want to use 3/4 gaps, so replacimng this whole drum part with a spinner might be a good alternative. Changed. I don't know how spinner leadin gaps work in Standard though,
    so feel free to tell me if where I placed it was wrong.
  6. 02:41:711 (3,4) - if I were you, I'd focus on the drum line here as it does the 1/2 thingy it did on 01:45:636 (1,2,3) - and it clearly sounds stronger than the vocals. It is a bit stronger yeah but for the sake of rhythm variation in an easy, I'd rather remain consistent by keeping with the vocals so I don't confuse newer players.

    Could use a couple of mods before being pushed further, but it's quite a decent difficulty.

okay, my main concer ain't about some specific pattern but about the entire idea of the diff
firstly, patterns in which you go back n forth on a circle or overlapping stuff like 01:59:094 (3,4,5,1) - or 02:57:412 (1,2,3,4) - because of this diff feels kinda compressed (idk if used this word incorrectly) and plays pretty in a weird way tbh, it's not something I would call an unrankable issue but from my point of view changing stuff here is totally worth

decent one, even these things I've written here aren't that solid this diff is totally fine to be ranked as far as I can see

Standard is closer to a Normal m terms of the word meaning, and Average also kind of close to that. Are you sure you want to have two difficulties that are named in a similar way?

You might wanna go with Simple for the easiest difficulty. That's closer to the name we had initially. Anything else with a similar concept should work as well

  1. 00:42:832 (1) - usually the intention is to make 1st and 3rd parts parallel. it's not the case here
    Note: they are quite untidy in general, I'd recommend making one slider using the grid snap to make sure it's perfect and then just rotate it around as you please
  2. 01:43:393 (1) - you probably need to reduce the volume for the slidertick. It is really loud whereas there's no support for it in the song.
  3. 03:15:356 (1,2,3) - the jump should probably be to (3)? Kind of like 03:20:683 (2,3) -
  4. The end spinner can be muted as well, or just be quiter. Either way would sound okay with me.

    Not sure what/why you did with the shapes, but I like how it makes the whole thing feel like a different map.

  1. 02:20:122 (2,3) - but that literally is a jump already. And I don't see many 1/4 patterns around, let alone jumps. I'd insist on reducing the DS or maybe space it less, so it's still overlaps and looks less confusing, like 00:58:253 (4,1) - for example.
  2. 01:16:477 (1) - I absolutely love that.
  3. 02:46:197 (1) - can you link some other instances where this particular concept is used? I fail to see any, but you seem to be quite enthusiastic about keeping it.
