00:04:639 (3) - these 1/1 sliders ignore the drum hit on the white tick, you might want to consider finding an alternative (ie a repeating 1/2 slider)
00:07:524 (2,4) - perhaps move these two closer to the 3 slider, and away from 00:08:486 (1) - so the overlap looks less messy
00:11:370 (4,1) - spacing is a bit odd for no clear reason
00:14:062 (5) - move to 172,148
00:15:409 (3) - would be a lot better as a 1/1 slider into a triple
00:16:947 (4) - spacing isnt perfect here (prev 1.13x next 1.19x)

  1. 00:03:678 (8,9,10) - What if you move these to the coords x:245 y:241? this way theres a more direct path between the previous reverse slider and more of an equal distance between the previous object and the next slider.
  2. FYI, at 6.274 you seem to be missing a sound. Although maybe you intentionally skipped over it because it's too difficult... just letting you know if you want to add anything there.
  3. For 00:02:332 (4) - and 00:08:486 (4) -, I don't think you should stack these with their previous hit circles. I think they deserve more emphasis, and should be separated from their previous circles, even if it's slightly. Like, this is a good example. 00:05:409 (4) -. I think you should be consistent and apply 00:05:409 (4) - distance to all of them, it feels better that way.
  4. 00:12:524 (5,6,7) - Consider converting this into a reverse slider that points upward. This reduces the difficulty alot. Also, alternating between reverse sliders and streams makes the song more bearable (in my humble opinion).
  5. 00:18:870 (9) - I think this should be stacked with 00:18:678 (8) - instead of the slider. The vocalist sings the same note on these 2 notes, not on 9 and the next slider.
  6. 00:24:447 (6) - You should try to avoid overlaps for aesthetic reasons. But if you can't change this pattern no matter what, don't worry too much about it.
  7. 00:26:755 (4) - This should be closer to the previous slider end. The reason is first of all to be closer to the ideal time distance equality. But even further than that, 00:26:947 (1) - should be emphasized more because of the strong guitar sound, and so in reality, 00:26:755 (4) should be an equal distance, if not FURTHER from 00:26:947 (1) than closer to it.
  8. 00:27:909 (3,4,5) - Again, Personally prefer reverse slider here, fyi.
  9. 00:33:870 (4,5,6,7,1) - To be honest, this feels uncomfortable to play for me, probably because of the circular flow break at 7. If you can help it, I recommend improving this pattern.
  10. It feels like the distance between 00:37:909 (1,2) - is too short. I recommend placing slider 1 above 00:37:524 (8). This makes the sudden flow break between 8 and 1 less damaging, and puts more distance between 1 and 2. Something like this

As you can see in the url I last sent, you can see a glimpse of that curve... you can keep it straight if you want, since it's easier, but again, I think it's great for setting up the next repetition.

  17. for these 01:19:832 (1,2) - you should press ctrl J. You were establishing a somewhat anti-clockwise circular flow with 01:17:909 (1,2,3,4,1,2), but you broke it with 01:19:832 (1,2). If you make 01:19:832 (1,2) upside down, you can keep this flow up. (Obviously the slider right afterwards doesn't really fit. If you want to make the change, keep in mind you have to change the stuff that comes right after it ofc.)

poor song choice tbh. Don't get me wrong the music is good but from the drum being so freaking off at spots like 00:09:446 (1,2,3,4) - and how the vocals and the instrumental stuff being so off sync in the kiai so yea it's not easy to map lmao
also keep the vocals-instruments being off sync in mind cuz that's related to the mod

[Rhythm Choice]
This is obvious but firstly do not make your own stuff up lmao. Just follow the sounds in the music and you'll be good. Stuff like 00:06:177 (9,1,2) - are not very acceptable. Also, do not overmap stuff like 01:05:311 (11) - . Though it's easier to map and may be more fun to play in some people's eyes but keep in mind that these do not follow the music properly. There are reasons why we call these beatmaps you know xd

With the most basic stuff being said these are the more advance stuff:
  1. This being the top diff means player does not expect that rhythms are simplified. That means if you map a particular sound in the music, the identical sounds after that should be mapped as well unless there is a specific reason for why they are not mapped and these reasons include something like emphasis, relative density stuff, etc. For example if you map the snare triplets in the kiai part you should map all other snare triplets as well. With the triples you have right now 00:53:869 (3) - is skipped, 00:55:408 (2,3,4) - isn't, 00:56:946 (3,4) - is, and 00:57:811 (8) - is just overmapped.
  2. Remember the part that I say the vocals and the instruments are off-sync? 00:53:100 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,5) - is a mess right now imo because you're trying to follow both of them without prioritizing one over the other. In my point of view breaking down 00:53:100 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6) - will be something like 00:53:100 (1) - is mapped to the 'tai' and the cymbal crash with the snares being skipped, 00:53:677 (2,3,4,5,6) - are mapped to the vocals with a random slider 00:54:062 (4) - for some reason, and 00:54:831 (1) - is mapped to the 'ding' sound thing idk then the snare triple at 00:55:408 (2,3,4) - and lastly return to mapping to the vocals at 00:55:792 (5,6,1) - . Probably the stuff that make this part a but messy are random slider at 00:54:062 (4) - , the weird shift to the ding thing at 00:54:831 (1) - while also skipping both the kick and the vocal on the red tick and the overmapped stuff at 00:57:715 (7,8,1) - . imo the best rhythm should be something like http://puu.sh/wPlXL/202cd8e856.jpg or if you want something more inclined to the instrumental part just map the snare triples.
  3. 01:06:754 (6,7) - I know that this is mapped to the 'kose' vocal but this seems on whim and out of place. When you're mapping you also need to consider if this pattern/rhythm fits well with the rest of the map. This, for example, is surrounded by 1/2 rhythm and also 01:09:831 (6) - which is pretty much the same is mapped with a circle as well. There are some other questionable kicksliders but i will leave those to your discretion i guess
[Emphasis / Relative Intensity]
  1. If the song is calmer or is more intense in particular parts, should the map. Keep this sentence in mind while mapping. For example this part 00:40:985 (1,2,1,2,3,4,1,2,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - should be relatively easy because of the calmer music but you seem to map it otherwise xd.
  2. Spacing should be done according to the intensity. For example 00:14:831 (1) - seems like an important beat so it should be spaced more but comparing 00:14:446 (7,8,1) - yields a weird result. The same goes for stuff like 00:53:100 (1) - 00:56:177 (1) - etc.
  3. Also important beats and/or beats that you're mainly following should be mapped with an active note (sliderhead / circle). The melody and the cymbal crashes on 01:16:177 (5) - 00:02:331 (1) - seem really important to the music so it should be mapped with an active note etc.
[Consistency]
  • Note: Currently the mapping community's opinion is kinda split on this matter. Some say it's important and some don't give a fuck about it.
  1. Self explanatory tbh.
  2. 00:55:408 (2,3,4) - 00:58:485 (2,3) - there is no reason to map the same sound with different rhythms. It just doesn't make sense lol
  3. 00:23:677 (3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - 00:17:908 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1) - being really similar in intensity-wise so there shouldn't be this huge difference in spacing
    etc.etc.
I kinda generalize stuff lol. There are exceptions to these stuff but ya if you don't have any reason to not follow these stuff just follow them.
Examples are examples; I didn't highlight everything in your map so apply them as you like

I don't have any problems with the map so this'll mainly be a hitsound check.
00:02:331 (2) - I think it would sound better if we removed the hss on this sliderend and placed a snare on 00:03:677 (3) instead.
00:06:178 (3) - Add snare hs on sliderend?

  1. Few spots where NC could be changed but I'm not going to mention them in this post as patterns may change.
  2. OD7 seems a bit low for a 5 SR difficulty.
00:00:216 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - I think it would be better if we started the stream with circles instead of a slider. The piano roll that happens at 00:00:408 is quite a powerful sound and even with the hitsounds the piano still overpowers the snare roll by quite a bit. So what happened with me is, I started the stream but as soon as the piano roll happened my mind switched to trying to play to the rhythm of the piano roll, which is not on 1/4 rhythm, so it made the rest of the stream very awkward to play. The reason for my suggestion is it'll help us fall into the rhythm of the drum roll better.
00:01:370 (2) - I think this circle could be spaced a bit farther away from the previous slider, the sound on it is quite intense for it to have such small spacing.
00:01:562 (3) - Don't you think two 1/2 sliders instead of a single 1/1 would fit the music better here? (would have to remove circle-4)
00:04:062 to 00:06:273 - I think you should incorporate the sound of the violins in this section better. Very significant sound that's driving the song, feels underwhelming and undermapped considering we're ~0.10 SR away from Expert.
00:08:485 (1,2) - Any reason why the first object is a circle and the second object is a slider when they are both representing the same sound? Change the first object into a slider?
00:13:485 (2) - Overmapped circle.
00:17:139 (4,5,6) - Overmapped triple.
00:23:389 (3,4) - Overmapped double.
00:52:331 (4,5,6,7,8) - What are the first two objects of this stream mapped to?
I'm just going to stop for now. Entire map feels really undermapped object-wise for a 5*. I suspect the one factor that is driving the SR up so high is the ridiculously insane spacing on many of the patterns.
00:55:408 (3,4,5,6) - the average spacing ds on this is 2.45x whereas...
01:07:523 (2,3,4,5,6) - the average ds is 3.70x! There isn't a change in music that really justifies the increased spacing.
01:09:061 (2,3) - This is just insane and doesn't really fit with the rest of the map at all.
I took the three jump patterns with the insane spacing and decrease all of their spacing by 0.70 to match the spacing of the map and the SR dropped to 4.80. Seems more fitting.
