I am conducting a study

Latest data shows that OT recently has experienced what is called a "Quality Depression". These events happen once every year or two normally with the arrival of a new OT denizen who thinks they can shitpost to their heart's desire. However, there is no new OT denizens who decided to open the floodgates recently, instead the old ones have opened them. Those individuals have been identified and are brought up around in the scientific community quiet a lot recently. It is believed these denizens have contracted a variant of a shitposting viral strand called Trashipitus-B. However, it is still unknown who is patient zero, but it is hypothesized that the OT community was infected long before it manifested and that an individual named Stefan carried the immunity against such pathogens kept them in check.

As a fellow researcher I need to take some samples and return them to the lab. I also would like to ask the following question to these individuals:

* DJ Enetro
* roshan117
* Canadian Baka
* Meah

What is you motivation for writing whatever pops in your mind even if it is so horrible it can poison others?

Now, it's not the end of the world. While this is the worst case outbreak in the recorded OT history, we are have the task force on standby to take care of this whenever it breaks out. I hope everyone has a safe thread!

Trashipitus-B was suppressed until now, so there was little we could do about its symptoms. However, who was with you when you got possessed with this unkown force? It is best we quarantine the person and study how the disease develops.

From what I have gathered, you haven't developed the full range of symptoms like others. It is recommended you go to our facilities to be quarantined and studied.

if the disease is potentially airborne and contagious perhaps a quarantine should
Be put into affect so the disease isn't further spread. I propose immediate creation of sub-forum that all infected individuals should post in to prevent the spread of contamination to the rest of OT!

Seems like the content hypothesis is starting to get hold. There has been a recent concensus that visual stimulation of certain patterns displayed would cause the infected to exhibit something like an urge to respond to the pattern. We haven't yet identified the similarities between the patterns but it is believed to be persistent to such degree that the infected would exhibit the behavior to any displayed pattern after being exposed to the initial pattern which triggers such behavior. Sadly, that makes statiscal analysis among the cases that much harder.

It is believed everyone has it but is yet to be exposed to the specific displayed content that triggers the symptoms. So I say there is little point in doing so now that we know this.

Weren't you with me and Blitzfrog that time? We're studying about this mysterious element called Trashputusium right? I believe I was only reading some Dota 2 patch notes then I passed out.

Also, the quarantine area is really far away isn't it?
You have to cross 7 mountains, 12 rivers, an active volcano and kill angry goblins to reach it.

I don't know but probably because the last time I checked the time, it was 5AM GMT+8 and now it's 7:15AM and I haven't done that much yet. Where did that 2 hours and 15 minutes go?

The content must definitely be transmitted through this medium. I will contact the researchers to start identifying lan-borne disease at once.

With current efforts we have a general idea of how this virus works now. The cure is being worked on, but we have treatments. Main treatment is recommended for community doctors like the fellow Flanster who has been going around putting the shitposts into a cryogenic state to just do away with them completely. I have some of my researchers exhibit strange behavior after examining some of the frozen content, and we are becoming worried that this lan-borne disease is actually creating offspring hatched from this very content. Best to eradicate the so called "eggs" completely before they hatch.


As you can see, this thread is has been exposed to the lan for sufficient amount of time for the infected to take notice of it. As soon as the first infected posted on here, the next susceptible host comes to look at it. Once looked upon, the brain registers the content as information it triggers the parts of the brain associated with creativity, decision making, and processing of visual processing. All of these areas are affected by the Trashipitus-B virus by releasing electrochemical stimulants which affect how those areas work. So when the neurons are fired in a certain way, it puts the brain into a seizure like state which causes the host to involuntarily perform actions which would replicate a variant of the content onto the lan. And so the cycle continues.


What we need to know now is where this virus came from, how the displayed content aids its survival, and how it evolved to use the electochemical stimulants that affects how the brain processes displayed content.

What makes you think he's the cure? He's is just applying the treatment I suggested.
