Accessing IRC for bots

If I were to create a bot that accesses the Osu! IRC chat, would I be required to run it through my account, as Tillerino does, or is there a way to run it through a separate account? As much as I would like to implement features similar to Mikuia or Tillerino, I'd rather not run it through my main account.

You need to contact peppy and discuss the details surrounding your bot, what it does, and why it requires its own bot account. They're organized on a case-by-case basis. You can contact him via forum PM, or at pe@ppy.sh.

Ah, thank you! I'll send him a message with what I want the bot to do, what I have done, etc.
