I think you feel awkward because you're not yet used to the new setting. I suggest do a rollback and play much easier maps until you get used to the new setting. Of course you'll do bad if you try doing high scores after you change it.

why wouldn't he get carpal tunnel, you can't say much more than "low probability'.

if you want to make fun of something say:

NO YOU DON'T SELF-DIAGNOSE about carpal tunnel or RSI. You don't get it in a matter of few days. RSI is fucking serious because even though l don't exactly have it yet, I'm already slowly developing one soon due to my habits as what my doctor said, and it severely hurts my playtime.

Also you don't fucking play if you already have RSI

It could be he have his arm vertical because a low table.. That makes the wrist hold the arm, shoulder and body weight while moving. Cts easy in a week. I never get pain in my hand or wrist. Even playing 6-7-8-9* songs using relax when i was rank 250k for a lot of hours without stop. If someone have any kinda pain should totally stop play for a while and ask for help.

just because he shittily "I reverted back to my old settings and all problems dissapeared" self diagnosed himself doesn't mean you should counter diagnose him through the internet with "no cuz you're playing 3 star maps".

he could have been digging his wrist into the edge of the desk, no one knows anything.

Playing easy maps for less than a week won't immediately give you RSI. You don't know the feeling of not being able to sleep for nights because of wrist pain.
Now you're just being a white knight.

Are you doctor? lol?

You don't get CTS overnight, it develops over the course of several years or decades. That is what my doctor said when I went for my check up.

What you have is just an ordinary tired wrist. You should work out more.

why respond to things i agree with when you're trying to make mea rgue with you

If it hurts, stop playing for a bit. Why would you keep playing if your wrist hurts?

Obviously it's not impossible to develop these conditions but if you use common sense it should be fine. I just asked my friend with CTS, he says he starts feeling it after a few hours of guitar playing and stops when it bothers him.

EDIT: And he also plays osu! with a tablet, although not regularly.

Haven't checked the forum lately :(

Wow, I really appreciate all your inputs :)
In the end, I tried reverting back to 6/11 and mouse accel off
It felt awkward at first but now I manage

With accell on, my aims became horrible. I missed streams and circles more often and spinners... uh

Also, self diagnosis is pretty much stupid... Just because I started developing some of the symptoms doesn't mean I suffer any form of RSI

Resting after I start feeling pain sure is wise. I was really crazy about gaining PP but I realized it was stupid too. The more skilled and higher level you are, it appears that you mind PP less and just enjoy the game

Still, I really need to buy a better mouse and mousepad

I'm using Rexus G6, a bit too big for my palm to handle... And $4 mousepad that has inconsistent surface friction

Any recommendation for best mouse for osu? Around $20-$35 will do

this was what happened to me lol. I was using 5.7 sens but I were going short on jumps so I used 6x sens for a while which actually worsened my accuracy. I came back to 5.7 and it feels much better now.

Try having a look at redragon series, they're the most budget gaming mouse available in that range. Logitech also worth mentioning if you're willing to add like 5$ more (G402 Hyperion). Also what type of grip, weight desired etc.?

i only know 1 good mouse, wmo 1.1a lol
buttons suck though i need to play keyboard

I use 2 different grip styles : palm grip for circles and streams, then claw grip for spinners. My palm grip is too weak and inconsistent for spinner, but my claw grip is bad for streaming. It's still a pain to switch between the two in mere seconds, do I really have to just stick to one style for more overall consistency?

I prefer one like Logitech G90 I had before, but the durabiility... uhhhh
I didn't even throw it away or bang it on the table, but the sensor simply misbehaved. Jumpy and too much response latency (couldn't ask for guarantee, already over long before)

As for weight, I like it as heavy as possible. I tend to lift my mouse a bit when streaming heavily. The cursor jump has a lot room for error so I tend to miss occassionally.

- It follows your preference I guess (your grip) but I would personally stick to only one or use hybrids grip. As you said, changing your grip/position too often while playing can bring inconsistencies in your playing, making the chances of choking even higher. And consistency is the most important aspect of osu out of all.
- G90 has a really low tracking bandwidth in my opinion (2m/s) since it's kind of derived from an optical sensor that comes from an office optical mouse lol, and for osu they said that 500hz above is okay already but it's better to get up to 1000hz.
- Personally I would suggest you go for g402 Hyperion Fury if you are going to stick with palm grip and willing to spend like 5$ more, but this is based on my research. You should probably conduct your own research instead of blindly following my option but it's worth considering. There's Anker, Logitech, Minionix, Redragon (I don't really recommend redragon though unless you're on a really tight budget) etc.
- Maybe instead of using a heavy mouse, use a mouse with high LOD? (lift off distance) It strains the hand IMO if you uses heavy ones and do many jumps

I'm using a 7€ mouse. It works perfectly until 6-7* Technical maps. Prob i can find a better config to make it work there too as i did before xD You don't need to speend money to get a good mouse. Also you aren't going to need a better than this one for a long. Don't bad understand me. It's a really really good mouse. But it's 7€ you can't expect a tablet speed/precision. I test 7 mouses and this was the best. I had a 50€ wireless one.

Also i use coca-cola to clean the mousepad and the mouse every 10 hours playing. I'm using this mouse for more than a year and until now i don't feel it was short for me.

Wow, guys thanks for taking your time to give me really useful insights :)

I'm gonna consider G402 HF and the Mars mouse as viable options. Those aren't likely to be available in local stores though. G90s floods the market instead.

Btw how can you clean mouse and mousepad with coca cola? Last time I spilled some on my desk, it sticked and left disgusting feel. Attracts ants too.
I regularly wipe them with alcohol to get rid of grease

Buying online is not an option?
Btw I'm currently using qck now, and there's guide that I saved from somewhere I looked at the internet :
"Well, I've cleaned my mousepads multiple ways now. This is what I find most effective.

1. Hose down the mousepad with water ( since youre hosing it, doesn't need to be warm )

2. Take and old toothbrush, and put handwash soap on it.

3. Brush out all the dirt and grime from the surface using the toothbrush.

4. Hose again.

5. Rinse and repeat ( if need be )

6. For drying, since its a Qck+, its thin and dries very quickly. Put it in a room with all the windows closed on a newspaper and put the fan on the lowest effective speed. This will ensure that no "new" dust clings to it because of a high fan speed and no crap comes from outside. The newspaper is to soak up any water that the mousepad may have soaked up.

Note that I used this on my Qck and Mantis Speed. Just got my Goliathus yesterday so haven't had a reason to clean it. It works wonders on my previous two mousepads.

One more thing that you can do is, for the thicker mousepads, put warm water and shampoo in a bucket and use the mousepad to lather it up and let it soak for half an hour. Then hose all the shampoo off and dry. This can also be used if you haven't cleaned your mousepad in a while or its soaked up something like coffee or any other liquid for removing the grime.

HTH.

PS. For my Mantis, once I wanted it dry real quick so I used a hairdryer, in moderation of course.

Edit --

Whatever happens, DONT wring your mousepad dry. Its not a piece of clothing."

Get a tablet :)

But hey I have a G402HF and I love it. I don't use it for osu! but it's great for Overwatch and other games I play.

Will try your suggestions guys :) There's been a thick buildup of dirt already on my mousepad, so better do it soon

As for coke, I was awed at how good it cleaned rust from my dad's old wrench
Still gotta drink it sometimes lol
