I realise that this thread was started in jest almost (or wasn't it?), but people seem to be taking it really seriously nowadays.

Are you terribad at osu? Mousing skill not fast enough? Trouble with triplets? Etna Sliders? Annoying spacing? Well, we've got the solution for you. Known to the masses as the "BeForU pack 1", we present to you...James Training.
Surgeon General's Warning: Not recommended to newcomers/people below rank #2000 and Lucidity, honestly.
I'm pretty sure you can with a bit of hax.Ivalset wrote:

I don't know what else to do. Flashing lights maybe? I don't know if I can do that. I'll come up with something though.
I didn't mean a difficulty warning...People don't seem to realise that the OP was made in jest.Ivalset wrote:

This thread looks like its made in jest, but it isn't. Just like how you looked like a jester in BM1 and turned out townie.Lucidity wrote:

Obviously you failed at James Training.Ephemeral wrote:
Before James training, I was rank #2300 and was unable to complete triplet streams without furious rage.
Now, look at the difference!
I'm still rank #2300~ except my wrist is really goddamn sore and I don't feel like playing osu for a week because of it. ;_;

Even though maps today are different than maps when this thread was posted, this "training program" can still help with mouse/tablet precision.ztrot wrote:
not that something this old would help you grow in skill anymore well it might not sure really good test to take
Back when this was made, the top 50 scores on the highest difficulty on each map did not comprise solely of FCs. In fact, it wasn't anywhere close to that. It actually took quite a while until people started FCing these maps like crazy. Keep in mind that good-quality Insanes didn't start to become a real trend until sometime near the end of 2008, and then continued to grow until the peak of overmapping hell sometime in 2009. Now it's pretty standard for mapsets to have an Insane, compared to back then where two-difficulty mapsets was very common. Maps as a whole haven't gotten significantly harder since 2009, though.Chozo007 wrote:
I'm curious as to if this is even really a good training anymore. I'm in the high 12k ranks, downloaded this song pack today, and within an hour FC/S'd every song in the pack. Maybe the general song style nowadays is far harder? I dunno, because I can pass things like Cirnos Perfect Math Class Insane, U.N. Owen was her insane, and strangeprogram insane and feel like those are substantially harder than these
