How's the skin?

It's great! I use it out of the box, unedited, and I like the new innovations

I really like your skin I look forward to your final release.
There are a couple things that could use improvement though.
I think that the gameplay elements (Osu! Standard) overall are a bit too shiny. With shiny I mean that I sometimes have difficulties seeing the next notes because all of the elements have similar colors, especially the glow for the return slider overshadows a lot of elements.
I would also like for the numbers to have a border in some kind, so that they are more easily spotted. For example a black/grey shadow or a solid border.

These are just a couple suggestions of mine ;)

This has the potential to be without a doubt my absolute favourite osu! skin. Only things that I think are a shame is that it's SD only (I know you'd have to remake the entire skin for full HD/SD support. Which is why I don't request you act on this; just a suggestion for future skins.)

cool but just like in voez skin for mania. it feels empty. like too soft.

Personally i agree with bad visibility... been trying to fix visibility issues for a long time! I'll take your suggestions into account sometime in the future when i do come back to skinning. adding black to some elements is also one of my ideas, but conflicts since black is kinda weird for this theme. Its so confusing!!!

Wow thanks!!! I learnt the lesson and made HD first for the other skin.. :? I did keep some PSDs so i might be able to HD-ify this in the future... but for now, i'm busy. :cry:

sorry, i need more detail to fix or provide an explanation for this... can i ask what part of the skin is like this for you? I assume your comment on the VOEZ skin said it was gameplay, but just to be sure...

oh and maybe you should check out the options folder. theres tons of variations there so you can change things to your content.

Have you tried to change some elements using the options folder? you should try to revert the approach circle to the normal version, and the hit circle overlay to the thick one.

Yes, I do regret not making the HD elements... This was my first skin, so I didn't really know how to make skins properly back then, and because of that, if i want to make this HD, i'll need to remake the whole skin from scratch... I'll make all my skins support HD unless really really lazy from now on! :D

Whenever I try to install this skin it crashes my game
when I select it afterwards it has assets missing

the download link for 4.2 leads to a 4.0 Beta file instead, while link for 3.0 doesn't work. apart from that, the skin is excellent, so nice work! and good luck in everything for everyone.

the 4.2 download is correct, it's the latest one, though it's skin ini is still tagging the skin as '4.0 beta'. Thanks for the bug report, though its not a big one so i won't be making an update just to fix this (cant be stuffed :) ), so maybe it'll be fixed in a maybe new update maybe.

And the 3.0 link was broken. I've fixed it.

I've been waiting for a .zip version. im on mac. i've got no choice. i can't use osk. files unless it's a beatmap :o :(

I'm on a Mac too!!

I've had no problems with osk's, try right click, open with, other, osu!

If this works then you should" get info" a skin and set it so that isk files always open with osu.


Otherwise just rename the "osk" to "zip" and extract as usual

due to a certain skinning review channel, the author's Dropbox (-yuo-) has been disabled temporarily because of causing too much traffic... try now?
