This topic has deviated from Ouendan talk!
To whoever cares my High Score on RSG Hard is 6,153,610 (All 300's + an average of 12k per Spinner)
and my total score for Ouendan 2 is 181,149,504 Every song Perfect'd on Hidden, but I have about 3 that aren't S-Ranked.
I'd post my Ouendan 1 Total but I have part of my high scores on a ROM and part on a hard copy.
So everyone: Post your best accomplishment and total scores for both games.

EBA... for the Wii!

I think it'd be easy to make, you get to move the cursor and press B at the right time, which can be enhanced by standing up and doing dance moves as well, provided the cursor's in the right place. Phrase markers? Easy! Hold B and wave! Now there's an exercise game!

Also turning your Mii into an agent.

On further reflection, it wouldn't half make your finger hurt.

Oh, and when you get to a spinner, you could shake the Wiimote to clear it. And when you get to a pause section, you could shake the Wiimote for bonus points! You could even shake it while the Wii is off!! :0

Twilight Princess and Super Mario Galaxy both involved pointless shaking. Really, it's like the DS all over again(Devs randomly using the microphone simply because it's there), the accelerometers are only good for slow, precise movements, yet they force waggle onto games.
awp
Waggling works in Resident Evil when a zombie is attacking you and you're trying to shake the bastard off.

My favorite song on EBA is pretty much Jumping Jack Flash. Too bad I can't get any of the Ouendan games... :(
Are the games good perhaps? I would really like to play it if I knew how to import items from different countries.

http://www.yesasia.com/us/en/home.html Free worldwide shipping, and reasonable prices. I got Ouendan 1 and 2 from them. Both are great games if you liked EBA, and the language barrier is no problem because the gameplay is exactly the same and the menus are very simple.

I'm so excited :D, I finally purchased Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 from YesAsia.
They estimated it will arrive the 31st even though I payed for shipping instead of getting the free shipping so it would arrive faster >:(

I can't wait, I got Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan back around when it first came out, took a long time to beat on easy, then just recently I've almost beat it again on normal, hopefully I can beat it on normal before Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Damashii Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2 arrives XD.

Maybe some day I'll get Elite Beat Agents, I saw a video of the last song and that it was a country song and that almost everyone was blond or had a cowboy hat worries me.

You can find EBA at really reasonable prices at Wal-mart or Target. Keep an eye out for it.

There are no "country" songs in EBA. The last song, Jumpin' Jack Flash, is a cover of a Rolling Stones song. The cover has a bit of a "Southern Rock" edge, I guess, but nothing that remotely borders on country music. Plenty of mediocre pop and "classic" rock, but the real fun is in the scenarios, not the soundtrack.
It's not really that it worries me about the game being good, what worries me is if thats really what iNiS thinks western people are like...Or what appeals to them.

I'll probably get EBA when I'm done with Ouendan 2 and have enough money.

I wonder what iNiS's "Untitled Wii game" is that I saw on their wikipedia page, WiiMotionplus does seem like it could be used to make a gesture based Ouendan Title where you strike the poses the cheer squads do in time to the music.

Although it would probably have to slow down for that to be playable.

The guy who runs iNiS and designed EBA and Ouendan, while Japanese, speaks fluent English and went to school in the U.S., so I think he has a reasonable perspective. That said, pretty much everything in EBA is a parody of American cliches, in the same way that you'll find Ouendan is a parody of Japanese cliches.

I really have no intention of beating Hard on Ouendan 1, I already know after hard comes insane which has cheerleaders.
So once I beat it on Normal I'm set for Ouendan 1 not including replaying it for fun.

Still excited for Ouendan 2 arriving, it has 18 songs plus 3 bonus songs compare that to Ouendan 1 with 15 songs and 0 bonus songs!

Don't skip out on [Hard], [Hard] with Kai is soo much fun.

The first half of Hard mode is where the game gets to be really fun, but the second half of hard mode is where the game gets wall-throwingly aggravating. Still, really satisfying to beat a hard song after 30,000 tries.

In Ouendan 2, It's Sambomaster - Sekai wa Sore o Ai to Yobundaze/世界はそれを愛と呼ぶんだ/That's What the World Calls Love.

Grats you like sk8r boi and La La
LuigiHann
I think La La, at least the cover they use in EBA, sounds like an 80s song, and as such I don't mind it. Skater Boy is lame and generic, but not appalling. I don't see where all the hate for mediocre music comes from. Sure, it's not as good as good music, but it's not as bad as bad music.
fdtoonsman
Honestly La La sounds so cool in EBA... it's actually a really fun song. Sure it's not the BEST song, but I still like it.

It's the lyrics of sk8er boi I find to be the most revolting aspect of it. Not hating it is kind of like implying that such drivel is "okay" and that's not the message I'd like society to accept.

I really like the cover they used for Jumpin' Jack Flash in EBA. I think it actually sounds better than the original. Go ahead and point out that I'm wrong.

I agree. Perhaps it isn't better as a song, but it's definitely better as a rhythm game song than the original would be.

Now that I actually have EBA (just bought it a few days ago), I don't see why a lot of people hate "Canned Heat." If you have a sense of rhythm (which, admittedly, we need a lot of here on osu!), it's practically easy in comparison to the massive drains of a few other songs.
YoshiKart
I used to hate Canned Heat on Hard the first week I got the game. Now I can play it with a mouse with no problem. :P

I suggest anyone who has good music sense and just got this game to start on Normal/Crusin'. Easy/Breezin' is waaaaay too boring. >_>
Slain087
Not to mention it's actually harder at points, since it's less about listening to the music than it is about watching the movement of the approach circle.

Also, on a different note, it took five days and a heck of a lot of replays, but I've managed to clear Hard Rock mode from first picking up the game, with the only stage that doesn't have a star in any difficulty the HR final level and no rank below B (although I do have plenty of those), and the 5-Star Commander rank. I would just like to say fuck the person who made the drain that high. The entire last bit of the song starting from the second break was almost entirely done in the danger zone.

the only wii compatibility i want with EBA2 is that you hook ds with wii so that the ds top screen is idle and the wii screen will show the score and anime. Better quality with that.

But maybe I've gone soft, as we push pretty hard to have Osu! beatmaps consistant, coherent, and reasonably predictable so as to avoid a player's confusion and ANGERRRRRR.

Bet your talking about Countdown. Mine is missing a bit of plastic missing so the screen is floppy and squeaks sometimes. Bit annoying but it works.
