  3. NM - 4Key (1.64 stars, 370 notes)
Download: Vospi - We Met Dat Night
Information: Scores/Beatmap Listing
---------------
1/9/2017
- ey, we're back. gonna hitsound this a bit later.
- removed SV changes from NM/HD difficulty outside of the main melody, and reduced the degree of SV reduction to 0.9 and 0.83 on NM/HD respectively.
- MX remains unchanged because it's fun as it is and yeah. :p

8/24/2015
- changed hitsounds as requested by Starry-
- made a few changes in NM map for better pattern fluency
- readded SVs that somehow disappeared
- made a few structural changes in the MX; bumps up the SR a touch
- back to pending, rank soon?

3/4/2015
- Added hitsounds for MX difficulty because they disappeared at some point lol; all three difficulties are now hitsounded.
- .mp3 file is now 192 Kbps as opposed to 320 Kbps.
- Fixed unsnapped notes as a result of re-offsetting.
- Adjusted hitsound volume to be noticeable, but not overbearing (25%).

3/3/2015
----------
- Removed "4K" from all map difficulty names.
- Restructured the NM difficulty to be a bit more difficult and appropriate with difficulty progression; huge thanks to Razorflamekun.
- Offset has been changed slightly.
- Kiai time added for chorus of song for all difficulties.
- NM difficulty is now hitsounded.
- HD difficulty is now hitsounded.

2/6/2015
----------
- Added a few notes in NM, thanks to Adinata28.
- Changed the ending of HD slightly.

3/19/2014
----------
- added Arcwinolivirus's mod - thank you very much for your help!

3/18/2014
----------
- MX difficulty now has hitsounds.

3/17/2014
----------
- reuploaded with Akihiro mod; there are some nice SV changes in the HD/MX now that I am really fond of, thanks again! Cleaned up a few minor details as well.

2/26/2014
----------
- Updated MX file yet again, because apparently a ton of notes suddenly became unsnapped after I sat down and previously resolved well over 100 errors due to StepMania conversion. Thanks to dionzz99 and Zealtron for sitting down with me and helping me out with my unfamiliarity of the osu!mania editor. :)

2/22/2014
----------
- Renamed files a bit more appropriately using NM/HD/MX difficulty names.

2/20/2014
----------
- Added Easy Chart (took me a million tries to get it uploaded right because at some point my maps separated!? but it looks like things are alright now!)

2/19/2014
----------
- Submitted Normal Chart / Hard Chart for review.

I really like this song, I had a blast sitting down and making charts for it. I wanted to make an easier chart below the normal difficulty but couldn't seem to coherently execute it in a way that I was satisfied with. I was rather meticulous on the Hard chart, using some pretty quick flams for percussion. Not too many long notes in this one on either difficulty because the song itself is pretty smooth/speedy.

I would gladly do a o!m mod-for-mod with you! I'm going to be out for a little bit of today, and I have class, but if you link your map in here, I can bring things up and try to help out.

Thanks for responding!

Hey, BerryPunch from TS if ya remember me :)

Well, your charts are pretty much "unmoddable" but I'll toss probably some things :P
warning : extreme nitpicking ahead

[4K NM]

OD : 7 maybe ?

00:26:782 (26782|0) - i know it wouldn't be proper layering but i'd kill for an additional note here

00:29:935 (29935|0,30025|1) - 21 instead of 12... probably

01:00:025 (60025|0) - you could add a note for the piano here ?

01:20:025 (80025|3,80295|2,80566|3,80836|2) - i'd alternate notes further apart, because of the different arpeggios things (i fail at music)

01:21:106 (81106|0,81106|3,81647|2,81647|1) - also, why doubles ?

01:33:719 (93719|3,93899|1,94079|2) - weird pitch relevancy here, why not 321 ? or 421 like you did before ?

01:34:620 (94620|2) - piano ? :)

[4K HD]

00:10:836 (10836|0) - 00:19:484 (19484|3) - some notes for the bass would be totally rad

00:41:917 - at place like this, for HD and MX, little SV changes would be a nice touch

00:46:782 (46782|2) and 00:55:430 (55430|2) - seems early by a 16th if that's the piano

00:27:502 (27502|1) - maybe an other note here ?

01:04:890 (64890|1) - and onwards.... i dunno, honestly i don't like the gallops too much.... but also honestly i don't have any other idea...
if it was my chart i would have used more holds (you can hear some background instrument i can't name) around the same part in mx, and made a simple stream in hd.

01:34:080 (94080|0,94080|3,94620|3,94620|0) - pitch relevancy ?

No seriously, great job on those charts, even though this song has been charted a billion times before, this is the first one I see with all those nice details.
Too bad all the notes are the same color here :D

OD : 7 maybe ? (done!)

00:26:782 (26782|0) - i know it wouldn't be proper layering but i'd kill for an additional note here (added :D)

00:29:935 (29935|0,30025|1) - 21 instead of 12... probably (fixed)

01:00:025 (60025|0) - you could add a note for the piano here ? (not sure where you're asking for a note, because there's a note there already -- do you want a double here?)

01:20:025 (80025|3,80295|2,80566|3,80836|2) - i'd alternate notes further apart, because of the different arpeggios things (i fail at music) (VERY good catch, changed to 4-1-4-1 to better represent the arpeggiation)

01:21:106 (81106|0,81106|3,81647|2,81647|1) - also, why doubles ? (Accenting purposes, mostly. I feel like the notes are pretty loud and stand out, so I gave them a bit more precedence.)

01:33:719 (93719|3,93899|1,94079|2) - weird pitch relevancy here, why not 321 ? or 421 like you did before ? (good question... fixed.)

01:34:620 (94620|2) - piano ? :) (same thing: do you want this as a double?)

[4K HD]

00:10:836 (10836|0) - 00:19:484 (19484|3) - some notes for the bass would be totally rad (not a fan of this personally, it detracts from my intended structure)

00:41:917 - at place like this, for HD and MX, little SV changes would be a nice touch (added, definitely a fan of this :D)

00:46:782 (46782|2) and 00:55:430 (55430|2) - seems early by a 16th if that's the piano (not intending to follow the piano here -- moved the 3 to 2 to remove ambiguity in both instances)

00:27:502 (27502|1) - maybe an other note here ? (added)

01:04:890 (64890|1) - and onwards.... i dunno, honestly i don't like the gallops too much.... but also honestly i don't have any other idea...
if it was my chart i would have used more holds (you can hear some background instrument i can't name) around the same part in mx, and made a simple stream in hd.(tough situation for sure, but I am personally fond of the galloping feel to the piano, so I won't change this)

01:34:080 (94080|0,94080|3,94620|3,94620|0) - pitch relevancy ? (changed to follow the string a bit better)

[4K MX]

(added SV changes as per request in HD chart, I like them quite a bit -- removed the LNs that were here because they don't quite feel natural with the cut in BPM)

Yup cause I'm assuming the notes are here for the cymbal crashes, but there's also the piano chords.

Anyway, you're welcome, I was surprised to see you around here :)

Good luck in the ranking jungle :D

EDIT : no kudosu plz :?

oh shoot, I'm sorry -- I saw your edit a bit later. I gave the kudosu for clarifying the missing layering since it helped to fix my file a bit further.

00:04:890 (4890|2,5971|2) - move to 4. ^ (done)
00:41:106 - add note to 1 for beat+piano consistency. (the only things accented with doubles here are the piano + the cymbal crashes, adding a note for the bass kick breaks this consistency, that I will not change)
00:41:917 (41917|1,41917|2) - move to 1 and 4. better. (three repeating piano notes have the same pitch on the up arrow, and the bass also has similar tonality, so I'm gonna leave this alone too)
01:00:565 (60565|0,60566|3) - extend until 01:04:620 just like NM and MX (I actually just scaled the MX back so they all ended one beat before the piano started, haha)

[4K MX]
SPOILER
00:02:187 (2187|1) - move to 4 for hand balance and avoid jack. (that triple wasn't like that before! fixed to [134] like it was supposed to be ~_~
00:56:241 (56241|2) - move to 2. ^ (done)
01:13:358 (73358|3) - move to 3. different pitch. Tom (there's some pseudo-layering here, the 2-4 trill accents the piano all the way up to the cymbal crash at 01:13:538, and changing this would technically break pitch relevancy, so I won't change this :)
01:31:917 (91917|1,92096|2,92186|1,92276|2,92456|2,92637|2,92683|3) - ctrl h. for the mirror version and avoid repetition. (not gonna mirror, but I will avoid the copy-paste. Thanks for catching that.)

I'm breaking this map out of the graveyard; anyone have any further suggestions to this map? I think it's pretty polished, but it needs more attention.

EDIT: will reduce the bitrate of the .mp3 when I get home

My Map : https://osu.ppy.sh/s/256365

General
  1. Change audio file bitrate to 192kbps
  2. Unchecked Widescreen support if you're not using SB ( on NM diff )
  3. Uninherited timing points conflict with 4K MX diff (please check aimod)
  4. Remove Halogen from tags, since you're the creator, right ? :)
  5. Delete 4K from Diff name if you just make 4K Mapset.

4K NM
Use 1/4 please, since there are some note that must use 1/4.
  1. 00:00:025 - Add Note (This is before I want the map to start, not going to add these.)
  2. 00:00:566 - Add Note ( ^ )
  3. 00:01:106 - Add Note ( ^ )
  4. 00:01:647 - and 00:01:917 - Add Note, like 00:10:295 (10295|3,10566|2) - since they have same sound (^)
  5. 00:09:755 - Add 2 Note like 00:08:674 (8674|2,8674|1) - since they have same sound (I didn't add notes for these at all before -- gonna leave this alone too.)
  6. 00:10:295 - Add 1 more Note (Because the snare is playing at a higher speed, it's partially cut off. Leaving this alone.)
  7. 00:10:836 - ^ (Added.)
  8. 00:17:863 - ^ (Added.)
  9. 00:18:944 - ^ (Similar to 00:10:295, these snares are partially cut off because they're part of a sequence; leaving this alone.)
  10. 00:21:016 (21016|2) - Move to 00:21:106 - (Referenced the MX; the correct location for this note is actually 00:20:926 - changed.)
  11. 00:21:286 (21286|3) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:21:241 - (1/6 is right here.)
  12. 00:21:376 (21376|0) - Delete (There is a note here, as well.)
  13. 00:21:647 - Add 1 more Note (Only things that are doubles here are snares and cymbal crashes.)
  14. 00:22:728 - ^ (^)
  15. 00:23:178 (23178|2) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:23:133 - (This rhythm is correct.)
  16. 00:23:448 (23448|0) - ^ and Move to 00:23:403 - (^)
  17. 00:23:809 (23809|1) - Add 1 more Note (Not making a double for reasons outlined before.)
  18. 00:24:890 - ^ (^)
  19. 00:25:340 (25340|2) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:25:295 - (Referenced MX and moved it to 00:25:250.)
  20. 00:25:611 (25611|0) - ^ and Move to 00:25:566 - (1/6 is correct here.)
  21. 00:27:502 (27502|2) - ^ and Move to 00:27:457 - (^)
  22. 00:27:773 (27773|1) - ^ and Move to 00:27:728 - (^)
  23. 00:27:728 - Add 1 more Note (This is a bit too complex of a rhythm to make for NM, even though it is technically a correct suggestion.)
  24. 00:29:214 - ^ (^)
  25. 00:29:665 (29665|3) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:29:620 - (Referenced the MX and moved to 00:29:575)
  26. 00:29:620 - Add 1 more Note (if above is applied) (Not applied.)
  27. 00:29:935 (29935|1) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:29:890 - (1/6 is correct here.)
  28. 00:30:295 - Add 1 more Note (not a snare/crash)
  29. 00:31:376 - ^ (^)
  30. 00:31:827 (31827|0) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:31:782 - (Referenced the MX and moved to 00:31:737)
  31. 00:31:782 - Add 1 more Note (if above is applied) (Not applied.)
  32. 00:32:097 (32097|1) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:32:052 - (1/6 is correct.)
  33. 00:32:457 - Add 1 more Note (not snare/crash)
  34. 00:33:538 - ^ (^)
  35. 00:33:989 (33989|3) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:33:944 - (Referenced the MX and moved to 00:33:899)
  36. 00:34:259 (34259|0) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:34:214 - (This is correct as is.)
  37. 00:40:025 (40025|2,40205|1,40475|3) - Better to follow the drum sound instead of piano sound (Disagree with this given that the rest of the chart follows the melody for the most part.)
  38. 00:44:349 (44349|1,44529|0,44800|2) - ^ (^)
  39. 00:45:971 - Add 1 more Note (Added.)
  40. 00:46:962 (46962|1) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:46:917 - (This is fine as it is.)
  41. 00:48:854 (48854|2) - ^ and Move to 00:48:809 - (^)
  42. 00:49:124 (49124|0) - ^ and Move to 00:49:079 - (^)
  43. 00:52:998 (52998|2,53178|1,53448|3) - Better to follow the drum sound instead of piano sound (See previous note.)
  44. 00:54:620 - Add 1 more Note (Added.)
  45. 00:55:611 (55611|2) - Use 1/4 and Move to 00:55:572 - (Leaving alone.)
  46. 00:56:962 (56962|3,57142|2,58043|3,58223|2,59124|3,59304|1) - Like this http://puu.sh/f3EEL/3e980c9ebd.jpg (This is correct as it is; the little separation on the first note is extremely tight -- see the MX for how tight the rhythms really are :p)
  47. 01:31:557 (91557|3,91737|2,92638|3,92818|2,93719|3,93899|2) - Like this http://puu.sh/f3EZj/90857d7f2e.jpg (^)

4K HD
  1. 00:02:728 - Add 1 more Note (Unlike the NM chart, the structure here is quite direct; bass kicks on 0, and prominent snare hits on 3, and then partial cut-off hits on 2 -- this changes around a bit throughout the entire beginning, but it's the reason why there's no doubles outside of cymbal crashes for the first 10 seconds or so; after that, piano chords that are played every beat get precedence as doubles; if they play faster than that, they're just single notes)
  2. 00:03:809 - ^ (^)
  3. 00:04:890 - ^ (^)
  4. 00:05:971 - ^ (^)

Maybe some are same with NM :)

4K MX
I can't Mod this diff, since i have low experience on modding :o but this diff seems good :)
Thank you for the mod!
Razorflamekun
I'll take a look and mod the 4K NM tomorow. I might also be able to mod the 4K HD; it all depends on if I'm able to pass it or not. If I forgot to mod this tomorrow, feel free to poke and prod me in-game ;)

Change HP in NM to 7
Change HP in MX to 8. There's no reason for the HP in the MX to be 9. In fact, I don't think any O!M map has it's HP set to 9.
Add another difficulty between 4K HD and 4K NM and change 4K NM to 4K EZ. That, or beef up the 4K NM to make it a higher star rating. Currently, it's star rating is too far away from 4K HD and 4K NM is way too easy to call a NM at this point in time.

I'll focus my mod of the 4K NM around making it harder to help you out :)

I did not directly follow your mod (avoided the three note chords and also some of the more complex up-beat swing), but the introduction to your mod actually gave me a good idea on how to beef the NM map a bit more to the difficulty that I need. I really appreciate you taking the time to go through this!

I should hopefully be updating by night's end. :D

Map has been fully hitsounded; .mp3 is now 192 Kbps, and difficulty spread is a bit tighter than before. I guess it's now a waiting game from here.

New NM takes somewhat after Razorflamekun's mod that adds some 1/6 notes, but only to some extent in that it doesn't leave any 1/6 notes hanging on their own without some other sort of easier rhythm to follow after it, whether it be a 1/2 or 1/1.

Obligatory disclaimer: This is a normal mod. I am not posting behalf of the QAT. These are suggestions. You are free to decline them if you don't like them. Please don't misunderstand.

[General]
There isn't any reason for all the timing points to be uninherited. What I mean is this:
As they are all the same time signature, same BPM, and aren't used for a metronome reset, the selected points should all be inherited (green) instead.

Also a bit of a general look into the hitsounds. (going to be using NM as a reference here)
Usually it isn't that great if you use more than 1 note for the same hitsound. (What I mean is something like this http://puu.sh/jyUix/1afda3acbd.jpg is better than something like this http://puu.sh/jyUhE/d63c89b484.png )
Again looking at NM, there doesn't really seem to be a clear indication of when the Whistle is used. For example, here 00:11:416 (11416|2,11416|1) - , this is better suited for claps. And this 00:13:578 (13578|2,13578|1) - . etc.
Whereas something like 00:41:957 (41957|1,41957|0) - is better suited for a finish sound instead.
01:30:875 (90875|3,90875|0) - ^
01:31:956 (91956|3,91956|1) - ^ etc.
Maybe Whistles are better off being used for the piano sounds or kicks instead. Or you can import your own samples (a kick, snare, and cymbal) and hitsound it with them.

[NM]
00:14:029 (14029|2,14119|1) - CTRL+H probably best so newer players don't get too mixed up with the rhythm thinking it's a 3210 1/4 pattern.

00:18:984 (18984|1) - Very optional, you could move this to 3, and perhaps even extend it to better follow the drumroll sound (the most significant noise here).

00:20:606 (20606|1,21011|2) - CTRL+H for pitch.
00:22:768 (22768|1,23173|2) - Move right by 1 (I guess you can move 00:23:578 (23578|3) - to 2 for balance if needed).
00:24:930 (24930|1,25335|2) - CTRL+H for pitch.

00:26:551 (26551|1) - Maybe something like this will work better:
It differentiates the pattern so the 1/6 is a bit more obvious for newer players.

00:29:254 (29254|2,29660|3) - CTRL+G for pitch.
00:31:416 (31416|2) - Move to 3 to make it consistent with the other suggestions.
00:33:578 (33578|2,33984|3) - CTRL+G for pitch.
00:34:389 (34389|2,34660|1) - You can always CTRL+H here to fix the balance from my previous suggestions.

Very optional, 00:38:173 (38173|2,38443|1) - Can CTRL+H here to represent the irregular piano pitches (it doesn't sound smooth ;p)

00:44:389 (44389|1,44569|0,44840|2) - Move right by 1 for balance.

00:48:714 (48714|3,48894|2) - Move left by 2 and 00:49:164 (49164|0) - Move to 3 for pitch

01:00:065 (60065|0,60065|2) - Would love to see this moved right by 1 to represent the higher pitch piano.

01:10:335 (70335|1) - Move to 0, definitely needed as currently it can easily put new players off rhythm (having a 5th 1/2 jack will be confusing)

01:22:226 (82226|1) - Maybe move to 0 for a bit more balance here (you can rearrange the notes after this if the balance doesn't feel that great after you move it).

01:24:929 - Again a bit optional but the 1/2 jacks here (having 3 note jacks implemented via chords) can be a bit confusing; try this:
Very clear cut patterning here but its effective.

01:34:658 (94658|2,94658|0) - Again would definitely like to see this moved right by 1 to represent the higher pitch.

Will edit this post with the other diffs later. ;p

Thanks for all the suggestions, Starry! Fixed all of the timing point/uninherited changes and made some pattern changes; really good work nailing the not-so-friendly for beginners patterns. Still have to go through and fix up the hitsounding on this difficulty as well as the others; I've admittedly been using the whistles arbitrarily...

...and I'm still just sitting here waiting for a map to go graveyard so that I can update this and bring it back to life.

Alrighty! This is out of the graveyard and I'll be periodically working on this to get it closer to ranked. Hitsounding is the devil. ¬_¬

Title: Right

Tags: Can't find any Tag you could add.
AiMod: WoooW Please check AiMod in every Diff if shows a LOT of unsnapped notes (Maybe you can fix it with CTRL + A and then move all notes a bit)
Background: Right
BPM/Offset: Right
Other: 01:30:876 - Only NM Has here a Kiai Ending! Thats Unrankable. Please Add in HD and MX a Kiai ending.

NM

00:20:606 (20606|1) - Move to 3. Other Pitch than previous. Would be better to play
00:22:768 (22768|1) - Again different Pitch. Move to 1 or 4.
00:24:930 (24930|1) - Different Pitch. Move to 4
00:29:254 (29254|3) - Again different Pitch. Suggest move this to 2
00:31:416 (31416|2) - Different Pitch :3
00:33:578 (33578|1) - Same, move to 3 :D
00:58:083 (58083|3,58263|2) - How about move this two on col to left? It has different pitch as 00:57:002 (57002|3,57182|2) - and could be better to play. When you accept this suggestion Move this one 00:58:443 (58443|1) - to 3 or 4
01:00:065 (60065|2,60065|0) - Move both on col to the right. This two notes has a different Pitch than 00:59:524 (59524|0,59524|2) - and you should emphasize this.
01:17:633 (77633|0) - Maybe move this one to 2? Again because different pitch to the previous one.
01:32:678 (92678|3,92858|2) - Same suggestion like last one. Make these different to the previous to emphasize the pitch. I suggest again to move these one col to the left. (don't forget to rearrange the Chord after these ;) )

HD

00:03:038 - Missing note? In NM you have one here.
00:03:849 - Add here a note? In NM you have here a Chord.
00:04:660 - Missing Note? In NM you have one here.
00:06:011 - Maybe add here one too?
00:08:173 - Again. You have here a Chord in NM. Should be same :3
00:11:957 - Missing note? Look at NM. You have here a Note :o
// Alright! How you see you have a lot different notes to the NM. This you should try to avoid because NM->HD Should be harder but not with absolutely different notes. You can use the the Option "File -> Open Difficulty -> As Reference" to see where you maybe have missing notes.
Will not mention now every one.
00:49:795 - Maybe add here one? Really loud Piano + Drum
01:04:660 - Okay for this Piano part i have a bit longer Suggestion. When i hear right you Mapped every 1st and 3rd Piano Note. It's not bad but it plays a bit strange. I really suggest to map every 1st and 2nd Piano Note. It flows much better to the song and plays a lot better. Would look like this:
(The timing where the screen beginns is 01:04:660 - )
Try it! :3 And only until here! 01:12:497 - It brings also some variation into your Pattern. The Piano part with the drums plays good. This you can keep.
Nothing more found :3

MX

00:08:984 - You could add here a note for hi-hat.
00:11:957 - Maybe add here one? Same like 00:13:038 - :o
00:14:119 - Could add too.
00:18:443 (18443|1) - Suggest to move to 3 to remove these jacks on col 2
00:20:966 (20966|0,20966|2) - These are Wrong snapped. Move them 1/12 Beatline up (00:21:011 - )
00:21:056 (21056|1) - this note looks Wrong Snapped. Move them 1/12 Beatline up (00:21:101 - )
00:23:128 (23128|3,23128|1,23218|2) - these Notes are Wrong Snapped. Move them 1/12 Beatline up.
00:25:290 (25290|3,25290|1,25380|0) - these Notes are Wrong Snapped. Move them 1/12 beatline up.
00:27:272 - Maybe add here a note for Drum?
00:29:615 (29615|1,29615|0,29705|2) - these Notes areWrong Snapped. Move them 1/12 beatline up.
00:31:777 (31777|2,31777|3,31867|1) - these Notes are Wrong Snapped. Move them 1/12 Beatline up.
00:33:939 (33939|3,33939|2,34029|0) - these Notes are Wrong Snapped. Move them 1/12 Beatline up.
Well the remaining Map looks good for me. Nice Balance. But i recommend to check the whole Map in 25% speed for Snapping Error. These are Unrankable

Thats all. I hope my Mod helps you a bit ^_^
Good luck with this Map. It makes really fun to play it :)

Have a nice day!
