I decided, on a whim, to make a beatmap to match that of EBA's Jumpin' Jack Flash on Sweatin' mode. While testing it out (on nofail, of course; damn laptop touchpad being unsuitable for this!) I noticed that, at the results screen, I had 300 X's. This wouldn't be unusual, except for the fact that I had at least 50-something 300's. There are only 332 hits in JJF...

Just so you know, while two X's pop up on the ends if you miss a track entirely, it only actually counts as one miss for the entire track in Ouendan and EBA.

I'll look into this.

Edit: Turns out every tick on the slider (the white dots) was counting towards the miss count ^^;. Will be fixed in tonight's public release.

Thanks for the report.

Hey ZZT - if you get a chance could you test this in the new build? I didn't have any time to :(.

The slider dots are no longer registering as a miss if I counted correctly. I don't know about the first issue, I'll test that in a sec.

Hmm... 3 300's, 2 100's, 3 50's... and 358 X's? Odd...

EDIT: After a playthrough without hitting anything, I had 366 X's. So it's consistent, but.. Where are these extra 34 misses coming from? JJF only has 332 hits.

Results of examination: There are exactly 34 tracks in my JJF beatmap. Apparently, I'm getting counted off TWO X's on the Results screen for each ONE track I miss. The Ouendan/EBA games only count a track as one hit or miss, so... :|

EDIT 2: Ah, I see what the issue is! The game is counting an X if you miss the beginning of a track, whether or not you miss the rest of the track. So that's what the problem is!

(Also, game accuracy note: If you miss the very last blank big dot on a track, you're supposed to get a 100/50, but your combo shouldn't break. Weird, yes, but that's how Ouendan and EBA did it.)

Bumping because I found the source of the error.

Edit [9/27/07 10:18 AM CST]: Wuh oh! In the current public build, missing ANY dot in a track is counted as a miss, even before a miss for the whole track would be counted. That's no good.

Thanks for the testing, I'll take another look tonight ^^
You don't need to bump - I'm thorough in my addressing of bugs!

Bumping for probable fixedness. Will test *before* build tonight :)

Edit: Tested and working as expected finally!
