- So maybe I'm missing something, but it sounds to me like you map a mixture of drums, guitar, and vocals without ever prioritizing which one you think is more important at all times. This causes players to get confused when you switch from mapping one instrument to another. For example, 01:25:170 (2,3) - you ignore vocals and follow drums and a little later at 01:28:338 (1) - you follow vocals and ignore drums. Please try be consistent.
- 00:07:469 (2,3,4) - so it looks like in later sections you follow guitar, so why not do it here? recommend this rhythm: http://puu.sh/mVmQi/3f828650d5.jpg also, your spacing between (3,4) is way bigger than spacing between (2,3) which isn't supported by the song imo
- 00:12:686 (3) - change to 1/2 slider + note. 00:13:059 - is like the most important beat in this section with both drums and guitar landing strongly on the downbeat, so it should be clickable. This is also the spot to NC
- 00:19:021 (8) - ctrl+j and reposition for better emphasis of this beat. Also, NC here instead of 00:19:580 (1) - since you have been using NCs on downbeats (which makes more sense)
- 00:19:953 (2) - small thing, but move this to [446, 56] so distance between 00:19:580 (1,2,3) - all look identical
- 00:20:512 (4) - NC?
- 00:32:438 (1,2,3,4,5) - the beat of the music follows groups of 4 here, so rhythm should reflect that. you miss strong beat at 00:33:183 - . recommend you remove repeat at 00:32:810 (3) - and add note at 00:33:183 -
- you miss strong vocals at 00:34:115 - and 00:34:301 (7) - recommend you use same or similar rhythm as 00:39:891 (1,2,3,4) -
- 00:46:413 - this beat much stronger than 00:46:226 - so don't ignore it! do this: http://puu.sh/mVoMi/5bff7fe425.jpg
- 00:47:531 (1,2) - (2) doesn't sound very important, so I would unstack here
- 00:48:835 (6) - I won't repeat myself anymore, but I think leaving NC on downbeats is the best thing to do for this mapset
- 00:52:934 (5,1) - needs bigger spacing to match vocal intensity imo
- 00:54:798 (2,3,4) - these sound like four equally strong beats to me, so change (4) into two notes to reflect that
- 00:55:543 (6,7,8,9,10) - whether you accept above change or not, flow into this stream is not good and should be made flatter. my suggestion for previous two changes http://puu.sh/mVp2s/b8a92ee333.jpg
- 01:17:158 (1) - this is a much stronger beat than 01:16:972 (5) - , so why does 01:16:599 (4,5) - have bigger spacing than 01:16:972 (5,1) - ? following the rhythm and intensity of song is much more important than stacks or blankets! suggestion: http://puu.sh/mVp8B/4ca4bd5dc5.jpg
- 01:23:307 (1,2) - umm...the spacing is identical to 01:22:748 (3,1) - even though the rhythm is different. please make your 1/2 and 1/1 spacings clearly distinguishable, especially for these lower level difficulties
- 01:31:320 (1) - remove NC
- 01:33:183 (3,1,2,3) - follow drums or follow vocals, please pick one and don't mix them up, otherwise it doesn't sound good.
- 01:44:549 (4) - this beat is just as strong as 01:44:176 (2) - so please increase spacing between 01:44:363 (3,4) -
- 01:56:102 (2,3) - why is this 2.95x spacing but 01:54:611 (2,3) - is only 2.4x even though they sound the same? You should be as consistent as possible to make the QATs happy.
- 01:56:475 (4,5,6) - the drum sounds here are all pretty similar, so I wouldn't use such a drastic difference in spacing between these notes here
- 02:00:015 (4,5,6) - you miss the downbeat here. please turn this into a 5-note stack instead
- 02:00:574 (1,2,3,4,5) - these should be grouped in stacks of two with the strong beats at 02:00:761 (2,4) - but your NC actually causes you to emphasize 02:00:574 (1,3,5) - . After you fix NC above, please make sure you group these accordingly
- 02:01:506 (1) - why is this a slider when your previous notes were all individual circles? there is no change in the song until 02:01:879 (2) - where the downbeat occurs, so I recommend you don't change the pattern until then.
- 02:03:183 (2) - why is this a long slider? at 02:01:692 - there is another sustained vocal, but it is mapped with 1/2 rhythm. please be consistent
- 02:18:835 - this is the strongest beat in 02:18:276 (1,2,3) - for guitar, so it should be clickable. you even added a whistle and clap here. same with 02:20:139 (3) -
- 02:22:189 (4,5) - when you stack like this, it gives emphasis to the last note in the stack, in this case (5). The emphasis should go on (6) since it has strong guitar and is the last note, so I recommend you stack 02:22:375 (5) - with 02:21:630 (2) - instead.
[Extra]
- same comments about NC as light insane. I'd recommend keeping the NCs on only the downbeats.
- 00:07:469 (2) - remove clap? it's not used in your other diff
- 00:37:282 (3) - I'd prefer if this was more around [203, 78] to emphasize the held vocal at 00:37:469 (4) -
- 00:37:841 (5,6,7) - make spacing between (5,6) smaller and spacing between (6,7) bigger. suggestion you stack on 00:38:028 (6) -
- 00:38:959 (4,5,6) - don't make this flow linear, since it really de-emphasizes (5). you've been using sharp approach angles in other similar sections, and I think it would work well again here
- 00:46:226 (3,4) - should have larger spacing than 00:46:040 (2,3) - . Just like you did at 00:47:531 (2,3,4) -
- 00:53:121 (7) - move this to like [243,214] or something so there's a bigger spacing to 00:53:307 (1) - which is downbeat and intro to guitar
- 01:02:251 (1,2,3) - this is a really deceiving pattern imo because almost everybody uses this to represent a triplet (for example, you did it at 00:32:065 (4,5,1) - ) so I recommend unstack
- 01:14:177 (3,1) - I think a bigger spacing to highlight the 1/1 gap plays better, maybe move 01:14:549 (1) - to around [377,310]
- 01:21:630 (1,1,1,1) - make the volume change between each slider
- more drastic imo. I'd prefer if you increased volume to about ~55% at the end
- 01:30:574 (4) - NC here instead. makes more sense since it's a downbeat and removes any confusing about 01:30:202 (3,4) - being 1/2 rhythm
- 01:32:997 (4,5) - ctrl+g here gives nicer back-and-forth motion. otherwise, I find it weird that only 01:32:997 (4) - has a larger spacing
- 01:43:990 (1) - I would just use a flatter slider. these kinds of shapes are always weird to play and shouldn't be used casually. maybe try to copy the flow/pattern you have at 01:38:028 (1,2,3) -
- 01:59:829 (4,5) - prefer bigger DS so player can flow into the 5-note stream better, maybe move 01:59:829 (4) - to [35,361]
- 02:13:431 (1,2,3,4,1) - this flows very awkwardly. I think it's better to keep the stream smooth like in the previous ones
- 02:14:736 (6,7) - needs bigger spacing imo, maybe move 02:14:736 (6) - to [356, 96] which gives you nice pattern at 02:14:736 (6,7,3) -
[DJ's normal]
- 00:19:953 (5,1,2) - so because of the way osu does autostacking, the DS between 00:19:953 (5,1) - is actually 0.94x instead of 1.0 which results in unnecessary overlap between the two notes
- 00:50:139 (1) - I would prefer starting this slider at 00:50:326 - so you don't miss the strong downbeat into the new section, and then follow vocals by adding a note at 00:50:139 - which can be stacked on slider
- 01:12:686 (2) - just move this down 1 pixel so there's some breathing room between the two long sliders
- 01:23:121 (1,2) - blanket can be improved
- 01:29:083 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - eh, would prefer more diverse flow instead of just go left, go right in a line but whatever
- 01:56:288 - misses a strong vocal here, maybe it's just better to use the same rhythm as 01:48:462 (1,2,3) - here
- 00:16:599 (4,5) - prefer 2 1/1 sliders instead to capture vocal at 00:16:972 -
- 00:55:916 (5) - very minor, but I would move this to [343, 212] for smoother flow. what you have: http://puu.sh/mVLG6/51a4106d90.jpg
- 01:14:177 (1,2,3,4,5) - I think it's better follow vocal here since you follow vocal at 01:11:941 (1,2,3,4) - recommend 01:14:736 (2,3,4) - ctrl+g rhythm
- 01:32:624 (2,3) - ^ ctrl+g here
- 01:41:009 (4,5) - try this, follows music better imo http://puu.sh/mVM1M/25bbe1eea2.jpg
- 01:53:493 (4,5) - suggestion: http://puu.sh/mVM8z/0a7857890d.jpg
This diff is pretty nice imo
- 00:10:077 (1,2,3) - unstack here to be consistent with your previous rhythms imo
- 00:11:568 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - please use 1.2x spacing for your 1/2 rhtyhms. it's so weird to switch to 1.0x all of a sudden
- 00:17:903 (4,5,6,7,8) - the spacing and angles could be made more interesting imo, a pattern such as 00:21:816 (4,1,2,3,4) - is much more fun to play and something similar would work here as well
- 00:31:879 (6,7,8,9) - these kinds of rhythms are just strange to play. i would change 00:32:065 (7,8) - to a 1/4 slider for more consistency
- 00:33:928 (1) - receives too much emphasis from the large spacing and harsh approach angle, but it's up to you
- 00:50:512 (1) - move NC to 00:50:326 (8) - like you did at 00:44:270 (12,1) -
- 00:57:406 (3,4,5) - this is some confusing spacing since you literally doubled the DS to make it look like 1/1 rhythm like you have at 00:57:034 (2,3) -
at least put an NC on 00:57:779 (4) - if you plan to keep this - 01:04:301 (7,8) - would prefer if this was a triplet
- 01:17:344 (1) - i think if you delete this note, it would give a nice pause to highlight the start of a new vocal phrase
- 01:41:009 - strong downbeat should have something clickable imo
- 01:55:357 (4,5) - make these triples, it's an insane diff. also lets downbeat 01:55:916 - be clickable
- 02:07:841 (1,2,3) - this spacing... (2) should not be emphasized like that
- 02:19:394 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - always try to end streams on white ticks unless you have a very good reason not to. in this case, I also think 02:19:860 (6) - is overmap, so delete it
