@Exeria-sama: Thanks for bringing that to our attention. It has been fixed.
Update: Although we did not intend to publicly release this information, we have received many questions about this so it is best if we do. The tournament has been going on about these invitations and that you can not ask for one, etc, but it has never been mentioned how to receive one. The short answer is, nothing a player does will guarantee them an invite unless you have participated in the first Star League, but we will list all the important details that have been looked at thoroughly for every single player that has gotten an ID. Please note that this list is not in order from most weighted categories to least. They are all weighted differently and exceptions are also made. For example, if the list says "top 1k rank", that does not strictly mean you have to be in the top 1000. There are numerous other categories that are taken into consideration.
INVITATION CRITERIA:
Top 999 (the player list consists of single digits, double digits, and triple digits, along with a few exceptions)
If you have participated in the first Star League
Notable ranked scores and the consistency between them (replays)
Activity the past month (play history)
If you play both 7k and 4k
General attitude towards the community (forum posts, osu!mania chat, etc)
If you have prior experience with SM or any other VSRG's
Any relation with those on the staff
Any relation with players that are registered
Able to communicate with the staff in english
Your 4k ability with others in your country
Strong interest in participating and have contacted the staff, but still satisfies all other criterias.
Ultimately, we have directed our attention towards that single/double/triple digit range that have proficient 4k ability so participants in this event are very experienced and will create for some interesting matches and will also be able to take on the upcoming map pool. We hope that this answers all those questions, but if not, please let us know through PM.
