I have an idea for a large-scaled tournament.

Keep in mind that if you were to take up this idea and start it then you are free to change the assets of it as long as the main idea is still there. I also don't need any credit if you decide to take this up. I may take this up if no one wants to maybe?

So the tournament starts with 4 leagues, League 1, League 2, League 3 and League 4, you get put in a league depending on your rank, so let's say the rank range is 20k-100k then the ones close to 20k would be in league 1 and the ones close to 100k would be in league 4. You can get relegated and promoted depending on how you play, for example if you get 49 points after a season and you have the least amount of points then you would get relegated to the division lower then the one you're already in, UNLESS you're in division 4, and for promotion if you have the most amount of points, you get promoted to the league above, UNLESS you're in division 1. So you're probably wondering how the point system works, I was thinking of having no tiebreakers(maybe?) so you could get 1 points for a tie and if you win you get 3 points and if you lose you get 0 points. Then you could maybe throw some cups/elimination tournaments in the seasons to spice things up, like for example the lower division cup where only division 3 and division 4 participants can participate in. And then a upper division cup where the other leagues are put in. This would obviously be a round-robin format where you play 2 games against each player in your division. And then when that's done, the season ends and the one with the most points in division 1 is crowned the main winner of the season and then the other division winners maybe also get prizes? You would only need to stream the important matches and cup finals? As I said this is just an idea but I think it's a good one, maybe too large scaled though, let me know if you think it is. I may host this myself with assistance from someone if no one else wants too I guess?

Let me know if you find any flaws and/or you like the idea, this idea just popped up in my head so I decided to write it down and see what you guys think.

Thanks.

Question: If this tournament was to somehow blow up, how long do you think each season would have to be?

it would depend on how many people would sign up, let's say you have 5 people in one division, then every single player would play 8 games and perhaps we could have 4 games per week? As I said this was just an idea I got on the top of my head so I don't really know everything about it.

Really nice idea.
If you can organize that, I will participate for sure.

Good luck if you try to make it possible, if you need more feedback I can help you ^^

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys, I'll try to get someone to host this cause I wouldn't be able too at this time and date.

I think if it go to a league, the participants per league gonna be a bigger amount though, like around 12/16/20.

Also I think team VS might make it more interesting
