00:18:077 (1,2) - this one is pretty easy to read 00:11:327 (3,4) - nerfed spacing 00:16:577 (3,4,1) - they even have different colors, i don't think anything's wrong here 00:19:277 (1,2) - never had problems with this dropoff 00:20:477 (1,2,3) - neither do i think this one poses a problem Very hard to read in general, spacing may be the cause with the 1/4 ticks.
00:21:227 (5,6,7,8) - Rythm doesn't fit here and can highly be leading to misses. rhythm fits, as the vocal does a kind of doublet pattern?
additionally i did restructure 00:21:227 (5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - completely. 00:10:877 (1,2) - changed too
and i fiddled a bit with 00:11:927 (6) - 00:13:127 (2,3,4) - as well as made 00:18:527 (3,4) - similar to 00:18:077 (1,2) -

00:05:177 (2) - i needed to stop going in circles a bit, this was pointed out before by kinshara, i made it the pattern you'd "reasonably" expect, but that just made the entire pattern more boring lol. if you have an equally interesting alternative (i sometimes force offbeat patterns to control that people are still paying attention for example)
00:35:477 (3,4,5) - the idea is the same as the thing described in brackets above: the vocals on both sliders seem repeated to me so i repeat wave sliders, to have people pay attention while playing, the sv is lowered throughout, so i adjusted the wave slider to mirror the other wave better, because i do need a wave there for the aforemetnioned reason
00:37:877 (1,2,3,4) - but the vocals are completely different, normally people would throw bigger spacing on these, but then it would just be 00:36:677 (3,4,5,6) - upscaled after a slider, i think you have to pay more attention to this pattern in itself and to the vocals if the spacing is lower instead of higher, it fits the context of this diff which is designed around screwing around with what the song provides to take advantage of all the stupid stuff in it, and that's my interpretation of "how do i get people to pay attention to this pattern in particular if the previous slider was super fast already", and i thought that contrast instead of super fast would be way better than going with giant spacing

do you have an equally interesting version of 00:05:177 (2) - that applies your suggestion without destroying the entire rest? Because im literally out of ideas that dont destroy everything, most of them would involve mirroring 00:05:477 (1,2,1,2,1,2) - which in turn destroys everything, because 00:04:877 (1,1) - go in the same direction from right to left...

Some opinions on the ctb diffs, as requested.

MBomb's Platter
  1. 00:01:277 (1,2) - Not sure why you start the map with an antiflowing dash to a weak sound. The intensity of the music is low here, a simple walking pattern would be sufficient
  2. 00:07:277 (1,2) - Highly advise against hypering into antiflow here, especially considering how weak these sounds are. To be honest, a regular dash would be more than enough.
  3. 00:13:127 (4,1) - Would try to avoid hypering into quick direction changes in this way, I wouldn't expect this level of control from a typical Platter player
  4. 00:22:877 (1,2,3) - Seems like you tried to follow vocals and synth together here and it feels weird to play for me. For vocals I'd go with two 1/2 circles and a 3/2 slider (starting at 00:23:327 (3) -), but synth would be more preferable by swapping the order of 00:22:877 (1,2) - and potentially splitting (3) into two circles for the snare sound on the tail
  5. 00:24:077 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - Not understanding this rhythm choice, mostly due to (2) starting on a weak beat but ending on a strong one in both cases. Something like this would be better imo:

  6. 00:26:177 (4,1,2,3,4) - Too many direction changes for a Platter player to contest with here at the same time as controlling hyper movements. Reduce these to dashes or remove some antiflow elements

My main issue with this diff is how frequently hypers are used in combination with antiflow elements. This diff needs some difficulty reduction to be more accessible to it's intended player audience.

  7. 00:32:177 (4,1) - Similar to 00:17:327 (2,3) I think a hyper (or reduced spacing) would play better here
Hypers within 16px of the screen border should be reconsidered, especially given the typical strengths and spacings used. There results a number of uncomfortable flow stops during play, particularly 00:18:977 (3,1) - 00:26:177 (4,1) - 00:26:927 (2,3) - that I would prefer to see reduced.

Ascendance's Kumanoverdose

Can't say I agree with the overmapping between 00:08:477 - 00:18:077 - the song simply doesn't support that many 1/4 patterns, focusing mostly on an alternation of 1/2 spaced single notes and 1/4 triplets, with the occasional quintuplet for the kick drum at the end of each stanza e.g. 00:15:377 (6,7,8,9,1) - Aside from misrepresenting the song, it hinders your variety since pretty much every movement is a between one 1/4 stream and the next. See Oko's diff for an example of just how much you're overdoing it here lol. That said, I'm loathe to not leave some specific feedback so here goes:
  1. 00:28:277 (3,4) - Similar to Rain, would prefer a little more spacing here to aid flow transition
  2. 00:32:477 (1) - 1/4 simplification is acceptable for the Std diffs I guess, but here 1/6 sounds better to me as used in MBomb's diff
  3. 00:37:877 (5) - More curved please, I find it very uncomfortable having to micro move here after the flowstop

Just the 5->8 gap might be a bit big, not sure. Since I could see people that can read the ar5 on advanced just fine struggling to keep up with the ar on hard.
But yes, increasing it a bit for advanced could work. or maybe even doing so on the lowest two diffs

personally wouldn't go as far as increasing it on Normal as well, but I guess it could work since anyone who's new at the game can read 3.5 most likely

Gonna talk with mbomb about what he wants to do with his diff, since it seems to be a more fundamental issue (the amount of hyperdashes). After I figure that out, I'll fix up his diff (unless he wants to remove it)

i still think 9.2 fits the density of the map better than 9.4 (i was told to use that ar before because of the fast sliders, but eh i have more troubles playing this diff at 9.4 lol)
the last slider breaks the symmetry pattern intentionally because the oh shit breaks the song completely

so yeah that's my thoughts about these. If you disagree with that reasoning, feel free to discuss further~
