Simple
I'm a perfectionist. This map screams "symmetry" lol. Anyway, the suggestions from "Appearance" are just minor. You can ignore them of course.
Apperance:
00:09:357 (2) - You tried to make this perfectly symmetric. Here is the code to do so. Change it in the file "Gareth Coker - The Spirit Tree (Phyloukz) [Simple].osu" in your beatmap folder by clicking File > Open osu. in notepad. Scroll down to [HitObjects] and replace the code for this slider with the one below. Then fully reload your difficulty once you saved. This should make it symmetric.
Possible Ranking Issues:
00:58:448 (2) - This circle is almost out of the playfield area when playing the difficulty. I suggest you move it up by 1-2 grids. This also helps the player not having to move all the way to the edge of the game with the cursor to reach the element.
01:03:357 (3) - The slider almost hits the HP drain bar with the osu!standard skin. Just a sidenote for you again.
Definite Ranking Issues:
01:15:903 (2) - This circle hits the HP drain bar with the osu!standard skin and it has to be lowered in order for it to be rankable. Here is a screen: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5911932
Other than that, the difficulty is perfectly playable and shows no other unrankable issues that need to be addressed. The hitsound pattern are really nice too and they emphasise the song perfectly.
Spirit Tree
Appearance:
00:51:357 (6,1) - These two are nearly the same shape but yet different. It's visually irritating to the eye. I suggest you create either two totally different slider shapes or copy paste one of them to make it look mirrored. But since there's a new melody starting at 00:52:448 - I find you should create a completely new shape. Although, this also looks good: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5912324 ( I copy pasted the slider from 00:51:357 (5) - , flipped it horizontally, pressed Ctrl + G and rotated it by -35°, added a NC and then simply moved it up until the distance snap fits.)
Flow:
00:30:630 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - The pattern 00:30:630 (1,2,3,4) - plays smoothly since it's curved. Leading the following pattern against the curve creates an harsh redirection of cursor movement. Try recreating a slight curve with these elements 00:31:448 (4,5,6,7) - If you move 00:32:812 (1) - a little lower it will create a perfect flow and transition between the patterns. You won't need to adjust 00:34:448 (2) - as it has the same spacing. Screen: osu.ppy.sh/ss/5912020
01:06:903 (3,4) - The transition from 3 to 4 is again a bit harsh. I see why you placed 4 and 5 there. The following slider surrounds them two. Try moving 01:07:175 (4,5,1) - a bit to the left to create a more smooth gameplay. If you do that, don't forget to adjust the following elements to your changes. (These for example 01:23:812 (4,1,2) - play really smoothly. That goes for both suggestions.)
Combo and Jumps:
00:48:085 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - First of all, the pattern 00:48:085 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - should be visually ascending, not descending because of the piano pitch going higher not lower. Secondly, the NC at 00:49:448 - is wrong and should be at 00:49:175 - instead. Like you did here 01:23:266 (2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - (this pattern also descends and then ascends to the music). The jump at 00:49:175 (5,1) - doesn't match the piano pitch either. It's a streak of notes gradually becoming more pitched. If at all, to emphasise the melody and to create a matching pattern, remove the jump and whistle from 00:49:448 (1) - and lower it to the point where it is distance snapped with 00:49:175 (5) - . Add a NC and whistle at 00:49:175 (5) - to emphasise the melody properly. Of course you can change it so something similar. Screen: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5912262
Overall
It's a neat short map. Needs a little more work but overall it's solid.
