Kendrick been hit or miss lately

King Kendrick's always a hit for me, wished he'd produce albums more frequently but it's understandable that they'd take kind of long. Even his b-sides were great (untitled unmastered), at least, better than both TLOP and Views.

Perfectly-cooked rice is a sight to behold, and even better to savor.
You can tell just by the way the grains are arranged/sticking together when you open the lid of the rice cooker.

I'm more accustomed to basmati (long-grained and aromatic) and it's easy to use too much water on them so they end up too soft.
Typically, a nicely steamed batch of rice will have just enough bite to it, and some springiness (even if they do clump).

To be honest, I think Micro-waving anything is disgusting, even for if for leftovers.

One definition is heavily loaded, the other ones aren't. You use the loaded one on purpose even though there are different ways to say it. You are being edgy on purpose.

If calling someone edgy isn't a good point of argument, then neither is calling someone elitist.

and no, the word race isn't as ambiguous as you make it out to be. Most People would agree that Islam is not a race, as you could tell from the corrections and backlash in this thread.

oh rly boi, mind explaining to me why discrimination acts due to cases of Islamophobia is considered as racial discrimination under the law?

Racism can be defined as individual/group prejudices and acts of discrimination that result in material and cultural advantages conferred on a majority or dominant social group.

At it's roots, 'Race' was a social construct created to separate the human race into groups. At it's base, biological characteristics were used to separate people into groups because during this time, this was what fit the needs of society. But due to the nature of it's roots, the definition of 'Race' has never and I mean NEVER been set in stone as it has always evolved to suit the needs of society.

During the last several centuries, the segregation of racial minorities, most especially black people has been the controversy of society hence during this time, 'Race' has been used to separate the Black people from the White and so forth. This was called biological racism and it's the kind of racism that has plagued us for the past 4 centuries.
But recently, biological racism has died down; bigotry over racial minorities is much less than before albeit still existing. As of late, society has devolved and tipped more towards cultural racism due to current events. Hence the use of 'Race' has changed alongside society. Discrimination against Muslims for the sole reason of being a Muslim is considered racial discrimination, hence it is racist, hence Muslims are considered a race.

Racism has always existed in society even before biological racism was considered a thing. Just look all the way back to the Crusades, that's a good form of cultural racism gone haywire.
Yuudachi-kun
Racism isn't a problem

Just trying to explain what Railey's fixed, stagnant mindset doesn't understand.
He has the mindset of someone who does not innovate and remains still, following whatever society tells him and never thinking for himself.

Im just giving a random opinion
Railey2
While I do appreciate your exposition about the nature of language and changing definitions, this doesn't change the fact that "race" if applied to a religious group, is an extremely loaded term. I know by now that you don't care about connotations or anything of the like. Racism isn't a loaded term like the word race is.

Islamophobia is listed as religious discrimination, not racial discrimination.
Here you have Race Discrimination defined as discrimination based on different physical features. https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/types/race_color.cfm

I suppose the term is less loaded when you explicitly say "cultural race", but you wouldn't say something like that, since your main goal is to be provocative and push other peoples buttons. Kind of like Khelly, but not as openly.

You'd just say that Muslims are a race and leave it at that, with all the historical context of the word race, and all its implications. As I said before, the association is there, and by saying the things you do, you subject yourself to it. But you clearly don't believe me, so maybe you should just go out and call Jewish people a race. See where that gets you. It's clearly valid following your sound reasoning, since the connotation of one words can't exist anymore once you reasoned it away using a different word that shares a word stem.
EneT
The matter of the fact is, 'Race' as categorisation has never had a concrete connotation from the beginning and you don't seem to understand that. No amount of searching in the internet can get you the answers you seek because there are some things the internet can't answer. Even present day scholars and scientists themselves find it a very problematic word and prefer to use other words due it's nature as a social construct, because it has no set definition; it has no connotation, yet you seem to keep believing it does because it said so when you searched 'Race' on google.
Railey2
I'm pretty sure that the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission prints a pamphlet to, I could send it to you, attached to a love letter with your name on it if that's what you're into. Hell, many of my sources do pamphlets if you don't count wikipedia. Don't believe anything until you see it in print? Half of the shit I link is from journals, that shit gets always printed.

EneT wrote:

You honestly tell me that the word "Race" when used for a religious group has no connotation. I wonder who is ignorant about language here. If you use the word race for a religious group, it sure as hell has a connotation. And it's not a good one either.

Lol, savage
EneT
Race is more of a concept rather than just a word and using it for a religious group or any other group in fact is not wrong. Maybe in your stagnant head you think it is because you're so deadset on it having a definition, but it isn't. Your understanding can only go so far as how much you open your mind.
