There are few things I'd like to say before this gets to the Ranked section as I think it is not 100% ready.

[General]
- Please pick a background that is not sexually suggestive and doesn't contain partial nudity. Her cleavage is way too big and is showing most of her breasts which she's additionally pushing against the other girl's breasts. It's clear that the red haired girl is not wearing underwear because her clothing is transparent, which leads to reveal of her butt, on the top of this all, the leg in behing is showing another detail of her butt. Backgrounds are supposed to be 12+ without partial nudity or sexual references. Pick more wisely please.
- Is "Kiss" needed as a tag? It's already in the song's title, so it should search without any issues. You should remove it if there's no other reason.
- I'm not going to force anything, but "Yuri" tag seems irrelevant to me. I get that the source contains yuri, but I don't know if it's appropriate. It feels to me like tagging maps "hetero" or "gay/lesbian" depending on artist's sexual orientation. I don't feel like people are going to need this information to get a good map. Well, keep it if you consider it necessary, but I don't see anything good in it.
- Copying metadata from older maps is not always the best. It's not a big difference, but artist is using a different character for *. It's SAKURA*TRICK as stated on anime's website. When possible, artist metadata should be as accurate as possible. * is just a character we use to romanize *, but not replace.
- The same applies to copying audio files, the file seems to be converted from lower bitrate to 192kbps, which is not really sane. You should get a proper one. (I could provide it in case) You should check ziin's guide to determine when the quality is reasonable and good. Can provide proof in case anyone needs it. But if this gets DQed for any reason, this should be fixed, just contact me.
- 2nd "Yuka" tag is a duplicate. Her name however is "Yuuka", so you should just replace it. Fujigami is also incorrect, it's supposed to be "Fuchigami".
- You could also add Japanese names for these artists (characters are probably not important, but artist names are quite important). That would be: 戸松遥, 井口裕香, 相坂優歌, 五十嵐裕美, 渕上舞, 戸田めぐみ
- I guess it was an error which was unintended, but the SV is really high. This causes Oni to be less readable than the Inner Oni, which doesn't make much sense as Oni should be an entrance to the Inner Oni. It's probably a must-fix.
- The gap between Oni and Muzukashii seems to be very big, but gap between Oni and Inner Oni is just a little step. You might argue that Oni has many 1/2 and 1/4 patterns and that Muzukashii has 1/1, 1/2 and some 1/4, but they don't seem like good enough introduction to the Oni. Respectively, Muzukashii has only 6 1/4 patterns which are all monotonous. Monotonous rhythms are cool introduction to maps with simple patterns such as kkd, ddk or even ddkkd and kkddk, but dkdkkddk is already getting very complicated for this transition to be appropriate. As someone who isn't an expert in playing Taiko, I know what causes a struggle in some patterns and also why. Patterns that look "confusing" to newbies are usually odd ones over even, for example kkd is easier to play than dkk or ddkkd is easier to play than kddkk. The reason behind this is simple - those patterns look really easy, but for someone who was only given monotonous 1/4 patterns, they'll flow really badly and will feel unnatural to play. That's because usually, there are stronger beats on 1/2 than between them, this means that swapping a drum from kat to don or vice versa is more intuitive on these ticks than between them on a sound that is rather insignificant. What you also seem to forget about spacings in some parts to give players some rest after playing a difficult pattern or after variable patterns. For this reason, I'll recommend few things which could balance the gap between these difficulties. For the below suggestions, keep in mind what I just explained.
- 00:03:172 (5,6,7,8,9) - This would benefit as kkddk, because as I already mentioned, Muzukashii's monotonous 1/4 rhythms don't give any introduction to variable patterns such as this and therefore even patterns are more appropriate as they're more natural to play. I also suppose you followed the drum's pitch here, which is then followed better, because the pitch change is more significant on 00:03:369 - and the snare on 00:03:565 - fits to it perfectly.
- 00:03:761 (10) - Because the previous pattern is a bit advanced and the player is not prepared for such things, you don't necessarily have to follow the voice here, but rather give a 1/1 spacing for some rest after an exhausting pattern. I suggest to remove this note.
- The first kiai doesn't have any spacings apart from the end. Muzukashii is full of 1/1 spacings in this, whilst Oni has mostly streams and neverending 1/2 rhythm, you need to add some, at least 1/1 gaps.
- 00:05:525 (20,21,22) - Simple k d without the middle note would be better. Firstly, the sound that you follow here is not that significant and won't play extremely well according to what I already explained. It's also not placed correctly according to the music, there is some lead sound in the foreground which i on first and third note and indeed, there is some kind of synth in the background between them, but listening to it multiple times, I can say it is a 1/8 note on 00:05:672 - , not on 00:05:623 - , so that would be musically incorrect.
- 00:06:408 (26,27,28,29,30,31,32,33) - You should really avoid this one. It's almost as difficult as Inner Oni and is far from how difficult the Muzukashii is. Even just removing 00:06:603 (28) - would make this absolutely easy pattern, which balances the difference between Muzu quite well, provides some little spacing and puts better emphasis on 00:06:702 - which has a snare on this place, so it sounds a bit better with a little pause before it.
- 00:07:290 (33,34,35) - That's similar like what I mentioned on 00:05:525 (20,21,22) - but this time, no sound occurs between them at all. I recommend to remove 00:07:388 (34) - for this reason.
- 00:08:859 (44) - Is much more quiet than 00:08:663 (43) - 00:09:055 (45) - or 00:09:251 (46) - , removing it would highlight these three sounds instead and 1/1 spacing would be provided as these are needed in this kiai.
- 00:11:996 (64,65,66) - The middle note also seems to be off, 00:11:996 (64) - is a longer sound, so you might here it for a longer time, but doesn't give you any reason to map a sound that is not there on 00:12:094 - , you should remove the note as well.
- 00:12:878 (71) - This is the same like 00:06:603 (28) - , I recommend to remove it.
- 00:12:976 - For the reason I mentioned in the beginning, kkddk fits much better here. Not only that it plays better, but it also makes in my opinion more sense with the song's pitch.
- 00:14:447 (83) - There is no sound behind the note, you should remove it, you'll also avoid an annoying pattern.
- 00:16:114 (92,93,94) - This doesn't seem to be necessary. It's too quiet and a gap would give some rest after a difficult part of the map. I suggest to remove these, but keep 00:16:114 (92) - .
- 00:38:074 (186,187,188,189,190) - For the spread and gameplay reason I mentioned in the beginning, you should rather map it as kkddk, it still sounds cool, but flows better in this spread.
- 00:56:506 (266,267,268,269,270) - I'd recommend the same as above, with the same reason.
- 01:02:388 (299,300,301,302) - This looks quite insensibly to me. There's no reasonable sound to follow on 01:02:486 - yet 01:02:682 - is completely ignored. I recommend you to remove 01:02:486 (300,301,302) - and add kkd on 01:02:584 - , which also flows better with the following 1/4 pattern.
- 01:02:192 (298) - Just a little detail, can be ignored completely, but d sounds better to me. Probably depends on each person, but the pitch in music feels a bit deeper than for a kat, not important though.
- 01:05:918 (318,319,320,321,322,323,324) - As explained previously, spread issue. It's probably even harder than Inner Oni again. I'd recommend something simple like k ddkkd, which would involve removal of 01:06:016 (319) - , but that's only good, because there's no sound reasonable to follow behind it.
- 01:14:937 (360,361,362) - The middle note doesn't seem to follow anything logically again. Rather than that, remove it and map something (most likely d) on 01:16:016 - , which has a sound. I get that filling empty places in taiko is fun, but doing it on places without sounds rather than on places with important sounds isn't reasonable.
- 01:18:957 (384) - Again, there's no reasonable sound to follow behind this note. Apart from this, 01:18:859 (383,385) - are quite strong sounds and a spacing would highlight them quite well.
- 01:19:055 (385) - This is same as 01:02:192 (298) - , as I said previously, feel free to ignore, this is just how I hear it.
- 01:19:741 (389) - No reasonable sound to follow again, you should remove it.
- 01:24:937 (415,416,417,418,419) - This is very random, 01:25:035 (416) - 01:25:231 (418) - follow no reasonable sound at all, while 01:25:427 - is empty, when it is an ideal place for a kkd on 01:25:329 - .
- I like the difficulty, there don't seem to be any insensibilities, but it's too friendly. The HP doesn't work at all. You are passing just after playing 1/3 of the map. Once you reach kiai, you don't have to play. This might be caused by HP drain settings or the kiai in the beginning. You should take a look on this or get a feedback from other people, but not playing for almost 1/3 of the map while stil passing it is quite edgy.
It is not 1.4. I didn't need to open AIMod for it to glitch and if I downloaded the map, it was quite faster than that just by playing it normally. Saving it with 1.4 looks completely different. That's basically the only reason why I opened it in editor.Raiden wrote:
The SV is 1.4, it just glitches when you open AIMod.
Some of things wouldn't be resolved by just creating another Oni and keeping this one as-is.Nofool wrote:
Also imo to fix what he wrote in the following post, just make another Oni and rename the current one Inner Oni instead, the current Oni still has interesting patterns and it would be sad to remove 'em all
