Aaaand pretty much everything Touhou. I kid you not.
I'd been meaning to buy that for the past 2-3 years but I didn't like the idea of knowing that everyone in the room would be secretly laughing at me.Azure_Kyte wrote:

That was a gay rhythm game my sister bought, so I tried it.

They were only fine if it let me use Fio. That said, I didn't like 4(Kekekekeke).adam2046 wrote:

I look and I see metroid, touhou, zelda, and final fantasy mentioned here? Even if they had their bad moments they can't be called the worst games unless you have only played like 3 games in your life D:
I don't know I have played some pretty bad games but they weren't so bad back when I played them 10 years ago, superman 64 was terrible for its time, one of the few games I put down and didn't ever try again.
Played them all. Realized all of them are the exact same shit. Does that help?James2250 wrote:

It's either troll orJames2250 wrote:

Many other games also have the exact same shit on their sequels too, and if we'll follow your logic then a lot of other games are candidates for 'worst game' then.RL Link wrote:

It's also due to the fact there are much much better alternatives if I want to play a shoot 'em up. Horizontal is superior, so if I want to play a shoot 'em up I'll play Gradius, Life Force, etc.Zekira wrote:

what's a metriod?
That is a horrible statement. It isn't really that hard at all, it's just that the bullet hell market is niche piece of shit that makes the same sorts of (sometimes incredibly good) games over and over again.Zekira wrote:
to be fair it's actually kind of hard to add more elements to basic vertical bullet hell shooter games
I see what you did thereNeo@lex wrote:

I'll be honest, that caught me off guard because I immediately thought of the vertical stages in Gradius II.awp wrote:

@RL Link I don't think it's fair to compare shmups to bullet hell games. In my experience they're different enough to be classified separately, and even though I enjoy shmups (I am bad at them) I could not enjoy a bullet-hell game. Bullet-hell games are just too...scripted. It's not reactive, it's memorization. You memorize hitboxes and "safe zones" within bullet patterns.
I prefer my careless fumbling around and real-time reaction in shmups to a scripted path.
