Moar news on AC14,plus some pictures.

Muzukashii!SORA-III gets only 7 stars...perhaps it gets around 8-9 in Oni?
745 combo for Oni!Taiko Time.
Muzukashii!BRS gets 6 stars,shouldn't be too tough in Oni.

And judging from the Inner Blog Entry (check the source code for this entry),
we might have a new 2000 song,and it seems like there's another picture not shown in this
entry.

@aquabluu: I've read the latest series article. Maybe you can find useful to add some details about the songs which are present on the song series which have a boss battle on Taiko Wii 2 or Taiko Ds3, as you've done for the SORA series. In detail:

Akuugan Yuuei Ac12.5 (Tungsten, the giant, pink mecha who raises high draughts)
Fuun ShinShi (Another giant blue mecha who throws rocks on the screen...I don't remember the name for this one...

@aquabluu,again: why don't add a section on Taiko Time that includes all the song which have in max combo 765 hits?
I've heard that 765 in japanese means Namco...

I hope they release Taiko 14 sooner... I really don't want to wait that long.

Also, Namco should put pictures of the Oni difficulty of songs. Those are THE information that is actually important, not any of the crap from the other 3 difficulties.

I'd actually been planning to do that, but there are so many songs that have 765 combo and no definite website that keeps a list of them all, it's hard to make one by myself. Along with 765, 777, 876, and 999 are other significant numbers. 876 means Bandai Namco.

In the Zone? That's the Ace Combat song that was supposed to come out on PSP on Augus- oh crap *goes to Youtube*

About the bosses, yeah, maybe I'll put it there as needed.

Yeah,there's vids of IN THE ZONE's notes on Nico Nico now...
I've checked it out,looks very similar to Kurenai o3o

About the combo number thing,perhaps we can add in 573?(not a namco-related number,but we do have songs with that combo num.)
Oh,and I added "Kani Prince" series into the song series list,cuz 765 said that it's going to be one,with a total of 4 songs.
(PaPaPa Love,Hole in the Wall and two more songs)

The Kani Prince thing hasn't been going on for a while though. Just those two songs from Muscle March :P Also, I'll add in 573 and 888 in the combo article later. If I'm missing any songs out of the list, please tell me.

Also, I'll update the songlist tonight, from Kim Jin Seok's map and up.

Aquabluu, in your "special numbers" post, you should also include 567 (backwards variant of Namco).

And also, for AC11 asian (not sure if it applies to other versions), it's like this:
- hit 2 times on the rim after oni for baisoku.
- hit 3 times on the rim after oni for sanbai.
- hit 4 times on the rim after oni for yonbai.
- hit 5 times on the rim after oni for abekobe.
- hit 5 times again to return back to normal.

Though there's no doron on asian versions...

Also, on 199 golds atm. What should I fc now? I have all the 10-stars left plus Okashi dega no uta.

It wasn't like that last time I checked.

I've seen someone show me all the codes on an AC11 asian, and it came out as exactly how I put it.

And besides Asian versions always has some kind of quirk in them (I'm pointing at YOU, C-Pop songs... why did you replace Variety ;_;).

This song was used in the boss battle with Teruru (Tellurium), the cosmic mecha, on Taiko Wii 2. The rhythm is slightly harder to grasp, as most of the notes are 1/3 compound beats.

On Oni it has 567 beats (sadly not 581). BPM is 144

By Direct Download I mean I just copy the link location when one selects "Click to Start Download", so instead of going on the site to download the file, you can just select the link location I copied to start downloading it instantly. Works for me anyways :l

It won't if the user hasn't initiated that download first. To be simple, the download URL changes everytime someone accesses the download page. The download URL is also IP sensitive, it seems.

I think I need a moment to vent a bit. >:(

Tried 100 times on Jigoku no Daiou, and I still couldn't FC it due to some dumb mistake in the ending section. I mean I got the patterns pinned down, but these "不可" hits irritate me to no end. I'm almost to the point considering giving up at 199 golds, and if I DO manage to get it, there better be a "200 golds" letter...

Practise hand-switching at the end parts. It makes life a lot easier.

Sorry but please fix Kita Saitama to be 222 BPM please...

Start by doing the first red line around -10ms...

Then delete all red lines and start working from there...

...remember that all red lines after the slow part must be 15ms more. (the part after kdkdkdddkdkdkdddkdkdkdd K)

OK,so it's confirmed that TaikomaniaIIDX 14 KABUKI will be released
on September 8.
And there's a collab between AC14 and McDonald's.

New stuff include an updated Taiko dojo (kinda like those ranking systems with scores uploaded via mobile?)

Well I didn't particularly follow your handswitching advice, but I still managed to FC it. Also, one of my screwup scores is more points than my FC score, lol.

Got the 200 golds letter as well. Nice attempt at speaking english, Namco. >.>

I could have taken a pic of the letter, but I don't have my camera with me at the moment. Fail.

Zekira, why do you use the touch screen? Sure, you'll be able to hit big notes better, but you're looking to FC the songs, and buttons is much better for that. Not to mention DRUMROLLLLLLLLZ.

But that's just my opinion. I'm awful on Tatacon compared to button play. :P

@PC: I can't FC Hataraku on the DS pads... it's just too slow pressing. In the around million plays I've done on Hataraku, both buttons and touch screen, I have only done it 2 times, both on touch screen... the structure of the DS buttons is just too uncomofrtable, just like the PSP's and not like Classic Wii Controller / PS2 controller (somehow the fact that you're holding the buttons while carrying a screen seems to be the main problem, I guess...)

I don't even think I can FC Metal Hawk without an actual arcade drum or something... the touch screen is just too slow

Is Taiko Trials 3 ready to be released, or should we wait till AC14 has done its part?

So far I already know certain songs that will make it in (in this order). Although I'm no expert at fullcomboing I have done it for DS3, so that probably sort of "proves" my knowledge with the songs.

1. 百鬼夜行 (Hyakki Yakou) Normal route (I dunno which one is the hardest but let's go with this as the starting gimmick.)
2. お菓子刑事の歌 (Okashi Dega no Uta) (Is it just me or is this harder to FC than a lot of 9 stars and even certain 10s?)
3. 旋風ノ舞 (AC) (Senpuu no Mai) (DEATHSTREAM.)
4. Tank! Ura (All this rhythm crap... yeah you get what I mean.)
5. mint tears (Fast with complicated beats. Overall, kind of like a slower Rotter Tarmination Ura.)
6. メタルホークBGM1 (Metal Hawk) (As Zekira claims as the "un-FCable song", this definitely hits one of the higher spots.)
7. Rotter Tarmination Ura (This should do as a nice returning song.)
8. 練習曲 Op.10-4 Ura (Etude) (Beats are complicated as hell, and has 900+ notes, overall can be a very big problem.)
9. はたラク2000 (Hataraku 2000) (No explanation needed...)
10. Let's leave that for Taiko 14. Maybe Taiko Time can be a potentially tough song with possible 999 beats.

Now as I've said, I'm not 100% sure if these should be the ones, especially the ones in the beginning and the AC-exclusives. However I think the later ones are solid choices for the next Taiko Trials, so be it.

Taiko trials 3 sounds good,but I find it odd that Hyakki Yakou's
in it..perhaps we can bring back one more God-song to replace it?

I'm also not too fond of AC!Senpuu being in it,once you get through
the deathstream,it ain't Taiko Trial material.

And yeah,I bet AC14 should bring in some new batshit insane songs.
Perhaps going even tougher than the four gods?

I put Hyakki Yakou in thanks to its "big note" gimmick. Since TT is about scoring the best I decided this is probably the most suitable.

Otherwise, do you want Ordyne there instead? (Old songs FTW.)

Also not a lot of people can effectively do deathstreams. Me being one of them. ;_; Hence I placed Etude Ura over Rotter Tarmination Ura.

Actually I'm curious as to whether they're gonna put Metal Hawk as the 5th god song... (I seriously failed it on the first try!) Never mind, I'm just not used to 1/3

We already did have the god songs on Trial 2. I figured that each trial should always have some new, hard songs, otherwise each trial is basically clearing the god songs all over again.

And since it's osu I'm even less inclined to do it.

No what I mean is that the god songs will NOT be part of the trials, but instead will have its own section.

EDIT: Guys, is it "Hakuucho no Mizuumi" or "Shiratori no Mizumi"? Both Shiratori and Hakuucho are synonymous and use both kanji, but which one was used for Taiko? viewtopic.php?f=6&t=36009&p=520168 <--- confirm please.

This applies to every game version that Soroban is in, Zekira. Make sure you have 0 points when the song arrives at the note change part, otherwise it won't go to Kurouto.

On AC12 it's some random blah strings... all the rest is morse codes.

Hataraku's lyrics is hard to translate :P It's a bunch of mad dialogue and intermittent song.

According to the article, score evalutation is improved and motivated with the adding of trophies!
Similar to osu! achievements, trophies will be unlocked after reaching some particular requests, and then an image of the trophy won will be sent to the phone after the score immission on Taiko Dojo! A good idea for new, cute wallpapers. ;3

Plus, if you attach a twitter account to the score (I don't understand how, anyway) trophies will be published on the twitter account!
