Meh, the stuff they'll be creating in the LHC has less energy than some of the particles that get created when solar wind interacts with particles high up in our atmosphere (or is it our magnetic field?)

I read somewhere that the mini black holes would take like 4 years to consume the whole earth. So be patient.
They'll probably have to stop the test due a bunch of old ladies protesting about something (Think of the children etc)
I know that there are people freking out over setting up reactors and plants, people just try and find ways to panic (They enjoy it).

My Science teacher, who is a doctor with a PHD, calculated the dimensions of the black hole produced and it would have been less than a micrometre and lasted less than a milli second!!!
