As it is currently, if you pause the game and try to resume it you are almost guaranteed to miss a note. Could you please add a countdown timer from resume: 3, 2, resume. It might also be a good idea to include a toggle for this for those who prefer the original way?

Requested and denied. I don't think this would be appealing in my opinion even though it may help in some cases.

We already have the golden ring you need to click, so you have complete control over it

Otherwise, pausing would make it much easier as you have more time to read everything
