Also, pros play on pacifist mode.

Mondo Medicals Mondo Medicals is difficult to explain, but if I had to try, I'd say "Atmospheric, illogical, slightly disturbing first person puzzle adventure." You play as an unknown test subject, who has volunteered to try out a new cure for cancer. However, he must first pass 8 tests, or "Disorientations" which go against the rules of logic itself. In between each mission you are "treated" to a mysterious man in a priest's robe with a TV for a head, shouting in a garbled voice about his ongoing crusade against cancer. At the bottom of the screen are captions revealing what he means, written like somebody with very little knowledge of the English language would have done. As odd as that sounds, it somehow sits on the line between hilarious and downright disturbing. http://www.charliesgames.com/cactus/mondo.zip
Mondo Agency Mondo Agency is a darker and edgier sequel to Mondo Medicals. You take on the role of Agent-65386, and your superiors believe that somebody is planning to kill the president. For some unexplained reason, the president is vital to the very existence of the world. There are 8 levels, or "Submissions", and an introduction. The scary shouty man from the original has been replaced with a man stood atop a pillar, presumably your boss. In Submission 3, you earn a "Shooter", a pistol which can dispatch the "Natives", flashing red and white Native Americans who are lethal to touch. The entire game is overlaid with a film grain which adds to the game's creepy atmosphere. Submission 7 onwards turns the game into all out Nightmare Fuel, so be prepared. http://www.charliesgames.com/cactus/Mon ... yFixed.zip
Basically, this is a free lite version of Bohemia Interactive's VBS2 Military Simulator used for training purposes for military and police etc. This version is funded by the British Military so it's all free for everyone, it has a pretty powerful and fun mission editor, multiplayer and other crap you'd expect for a simulator, if you liked Operation Flashpoint, ArmA & ArmA II, then you'd like this one as well, and hey, the best part of it is that it's a free version of a program that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. http://www.jcove-lite.co.uk/
About JCOVE Lite
JCOVE Lite is a freeware game derived from Bohemia Interactive's VBS2 software - itself a derivative of Armed Assault but focused on simulated training for military purposes.
JCOVE Lite was funded by the UK MOD to give the general public, particularly potential recruits, an idea of how the British military trained for combat as well as providing a more realistic combat simulation than your standard shoot'em-up.
Overall it gives serious gamers an immensely modifiable platform to create, share and play their own missions using a huge range of British military equipment - from the humble Sig 229 to the legendary Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank.
JCOVE Lite, a Brief History
Once upon a time there was a game. This game was called Operation: Flashpoint and it was pretty successful. We're sure many of you have heard of it.
OFP was known for its realism. It wasn't your typical run-and-gun shooter; it required a bit more nouse. It also offered a very open architecture that allowed gamers to create very diverse modifications for both on- and off-line play. Users could create new vehicles, people, weapons, maps, missions and whole campaigns with relative ease.
The realism of the game made it popular with hardcore gamers and military folk alike. So much so, in fact, that one particular Australian squaddie saw the potential for customising it into a military trainer. The idea was taken on by OFPs developers, who created a dedicated military sim called Virtual Battlespace - VBS was born, and brought low-cost, highly-customisable commercial simulation into the government world. Easy-to-use editing suites allowed the military to rapidly replicate their diverse equipment ranges in the simulated environment offered by VBS, and the simple scripting techniques allowed them to build large, high-fidelity exercises in which to train their troops.
As OFP progressed, it bore a sequel: Armed Assault. ArmA kept true to its heritage and continued to offer unrivalled user access. The community continued to grow, with large numbers of people creating additional content. With the new engine came new capability, and so VBS was also uplifted with its own sequel. VBS2 built upon the ethos established in its predecessor, and pretty soon some of the West's biggest militaries were using it: The US, UK, Canada, Australia... all saw the potential and were eager to make the most of it.
Now we focus more into the British side of the story.
VBS had been used successfully in the past to deliver convoy training to Logistics troops under a project called Joint Convoy Operations Virtual Environment - JCOVE. JCOVE allowed troops to practice running and escorting large military convoys through realistic, hostile Middle Eastern environments. They learnt to communicate with each other properly, to plan safe and sensible routes, and to respond to ambushes and roadside bombs. It even helped them identify situations that could lead to such attacks, and take appropriate action to avoid them.
With the advent of VBS2, the training system was upgraded. Operational Joint Combat Operations Virtual Environment - Op JCOVE - expanded on the original remit of supporting logistics convoy training and began to cover more dismounted operations; platoons on patrol, section assaults... even cultural awareness in walking around a synthetic Afghan village.
While it is important to stress that VBS2 is not a "game" in the usual sense, today's generation - even those serving in the military - are generally quite adept at picking up such technology. The UK government were also aware of the quite high expectations of such a generation when it comes to providing things like graphical fidelity. VBS2 allowed them to fill a void that is arguably gaping in such systems as CATT.
The success of VBS2 in enabling synthetic training prompted to UK to purchase an Enterprise License, giving them even more scope to use it across Defence. One such use, not even considered in the early days, was to basically show it off to potential recruits and let them have a play. The idea was that, as good as Call of Duty is, it's doesn't depict combat particularly well. Something as realistic as VBS2, in which teamwork, communication and forethought are key, would give youngsters keen on joining up a better taste of what to expect - as well as introducing them to the training methods they would likely encounter after taking the Queen's Shilling.
In order to provide these kids with something to take home, Bohemia Interactive were tasked with creating a stripped-down version of VBS2 that could be distributed as freeware under the UK license. VBS2 JCOVE Lite was the result.
Essentially running the same engine as VBS2, Lite takes out some of the more advanced, training-specific features (After-Action Review and 3D Real-Time Mission Editing), but still gives the player access to the full range of UK military equipment and an editing suite fully capable of creating new and interesting scenarios of your own imagination. Networking is capable of allowing you and your friends to form a couple of sections of infantry, or some squadrons of AFVs, and getting stuck in with the Taleban, Iraqi insurgents, and more.
So what's with jcove-lite.co.uk?
This site was set up by some of the first Lite afficionados to provide a central place to meet up, arrange games and share our new missions. We hope in time to have a resource here that is capable of squeezing every last drop from this unique program and, who knows, maybe feeding stuff back into MOD for the future?!
We hope you enjoy JCOVE Lite as much as we do. As freeware goes, it's pretty special!

yeah any kind of games count, as long it's free and good fun.
yeah, you get to use your shadow in one of the levels in Braid to solve puzzles, but in this game you can use as many shadows as you want, its crazy :O.
That was a good game. Reminds me of Braid in a few ways.
Seriously, that was my favorite flash game for a long time for that exact reason.

That too, but mainly because of the way the story is narrated. I love these type of games.

anyone beat that game yet lol
Hmm yes? There was only one hard level at the end, rest was quite easy.
I would have liked this a great deal more if it had more levels. That being said, it's still definitely good.
Meh, I don't know. I seem to enjoy short 5 miuntes games more. Some flash games are just filled with a shitload of repetitive levels and when you finally finish it, you're left with this feeling of "finally... done with this shit", instead of "oh, I wish there was more".
Thing with the latter one is, you actually keep a good memory of the game, and it pretty much never happens that you go "this was the perfect amount of levels", so yea, it's better go for slighty less, imo. Pushing it too much just kills it.
GENETOS is a SHMUP that purports itself as the history of shmups.
From Space Invaders
to something you'd see in current shumps.
And then there's the evolution mechanic for your ship as it upgrades - stay close, and you'll get close-range weapons. Lose a lot of lives, get ways to live much longer.

You can either try getting the best distance (you go faster and faster, platforms get smaller) or you can try going for score (green are good, red are bad, orange are bonus, combos matter)
both are fun, i only played a couple time, but my best distance was 6k, my best score was 52k

I've seen same game technique used in psp game Echoshift(Jigen Kairou), very similar music too. But have to say story of the company of myself is touching and intelligently made, great find. (also addicted at unlocking achievements on kongregate now..)

I'm level 13! Haha, I really used to be into achievements, but I ran out of good puzzle games. 90% of the games nowadays are just overcomplicated RPG/RTS games with bloated UI and crazy stories.
You can't fully appreciate it unless you either play this on 'shrooms during a blizzard or decompile it and realize that it's just 2D sprites with shaders and layering tricks that are systematically deranging your senses.
also so i just tried it, fucking hurt my eyes, Only read Moving M's and the word CAT, so im guessing its just for people who are going to have acid trips or something? Cause I dont get the point of the game

You never left the stage select screen?
I ended up in the hardest puzzle first so I walkthrough'd it after being completely bewildered for 5 or 10 minutes
the rest kind of fell into place the cone wasn't too bad, the pillar was really easy, the cube confused me since it was like multiple phases

If a game is trippy in the slightest bit it's made for stoners. In no way can a game simply try to be creepy or send odd emotions and feelings to you. And it sure as hell can't try having a symbolic message. Only people on acid can enjoy it. Also, if you decompile the game it's apparently made up of little pieces like any other program. ZHOMG

I actually finished that game Infinity. You just end up climbing a ladder into that glowing white orb thing in the sky. Some silly message that is supposed to be meaningful pops up. Can't remember what it says .
I played it with neo@lex. I don't think I've laughed this hard playing a video game for a long long time. My stomach hurt for days.
We were having robot wars/race, glitching the shit out of the engine and doing all sort of silly stuff. Good times. Playing it alone would be boring as fuck though.
2D fighting game created single handedly by an ex-capcom employee. Fairly fun, and teh game is mostly in English. Though you need to have your computers Unicode set to Japanese in order to play it.
An amazingly awesome indie sidescrolling RPG. Pick three of nine characters of varying backgrounds and wreck shit in the land of Medea. The ingame art is pretty amazing, the plot is quite good, combat is excellently done and quite challenging, and the soundtrack is to die for. Easily has the best soundtrack in any free game I've played to date, and this is a huge understatement. It surpasses a lot of soundtracks for commercial games. Used to be mandatory purchase, is now free as of February 2010.
A video of one of the boss fights, to give you an idea of the combat.
It doesn't matter whether you win or lose. The only thing that matters is whether I win or lose in this game called life.
I know it's already, but I will explain better Trackmania Nations Forever, I was LOOONG time playing the united mode, but I know about it. ATTENTION, I'm bad at english
Trackmania Nations Forever On this game, basically you make your tracks, with the part designs... You can share the tracks, play online, and buy cool stuff with coopers (don't know if is only united lol) The problem of the nations, is really limited, it's only have Stadium (but fuc**** awesome) and minimum things, if you get REALLY addicted from nations, it's because you have heard about United (paid)... It's an great game, it's totally free the nations... http://www.trackmania.com/
^Good idea and game, but story feels like it was written while slitting arms with razor blade.. well indiegames with touching story seems to be today's thing.

Haha, very well said.
I don't know, that last sentence give me a chill, and any game that can give me a chill or make me feel something special is a good game in my book. Korsakovia was probably the game that gave me the most chills. I think at some point I got like around 10 in a row.
I beat it with you guys too. I don't get why they made a second one, it doesn't make it any funnier. The only amusing part was the name generator.
Well, it was kinda cheap that we played with you, because we kinda did all the hard tricky ones for you, except the couple last one we left off for you. The whole fun of the game is looking at the names and figuring them out, so you missed out of a lot of that.
It also had coop, which made it a lot more fun. I really enjoyed it, way more than I enjoyed the first one.
I'd rather play different versions of these (if each one has new original achievements that is) rather than play some shit like JustCause2
Well, you can take blocks in your inventory and place them. you can also mine, chop wood, get loads of different items and use them, etc. it's a pretty fun little indie game
Tower of Heaven, a short, retro-themed platformer with a very catchy soundtrack. It's been available as an executable for a while now, but this Flash version was released last week.
And don't be deterred by the description, the game's nowhere near as hard as it's made out to be.
Placeholder signature. Will probably replace this tomorrow.

Well, to be fair, the last 1 or 2 levels were quite challenging, but yes the beginning was cake. Reminds me a lot of Portal. Also, Depict1 was a pretty good platformer too.

These are also made by WADF's creator, Nifflas. The character is cute, and the level is not so insane(except for some of Knytt Stories levels ). And the best feature I think is 'User created levels available in Knytt Stories'.
I'm sure Cave Story has been mentioned in this thread earlier (if not, something's very wrong with this forum) but I'd also like to mention Tuper Tario Tros. on Newgrounds. It's awesome. Play it and see for yourself.
On a related note, I'm sick and tired of Robot Unicorn Attack.

If you like online PvP MMORPGs then this is for you!
You can play as one of three races (or you can choose all each in a different spot) depending on your style and taste and one of 4 different classes :
Warrior Mage Ranger Specialist
Bellato: Their race mostly depend on offensive attacks, They're the only race that use the Light magic force and they ride on mechanical machines named MAU's (Goliath the Melee MAU & Catapult the Ranged MAU).
Cora: Unlike the Bellato, the Cora use the Dark magic force and use summoning monsters named Animuses to kill their foes
Accretia: This race is an mechanical race that relies on ranged attacks (as far as i can see they hardly have warriors in their race) and they wield weapons named Siege Kits, that deal a great amount of damage onto foes. NOTE: Accretians don't have mages so you can only choose Warrior, Ranger or Specialist when choosing this race.
Ragnarok Battle Offline, or RBO, is a beat 'em up game for Microsoft Windows created by dōjin soft developer French-Bread. The soundtrack is composed by Raito of Lisa-Rec. It is a homage and a spoof of the MMORPG Ragnarok Online created by Korean developer Gravity Corporation.
This game was not free beforehand long ago when it came out, but due to heavy software piracy, they seem to have gave up on the game completely, leaving us with this now free masterpiece of a game.
It reminds me somewhat of Super Smash Brothers in terms of gameplay (as in weak attack = one attack, but right + weak attack = another attack ... and there's also the double jump).
You may want to own a controller to play this game (since you may have problems with attacks that requires diagonal input... like down+left+strong attack)
If you do have a controller, I suggest downloading This absolutely necessary tool to program your controller appropriately.
In case you can't get a hang of the controls, here is a list of the buttons used in this game :

Player1 -- H - Up/Jump N - Down/Crouch B - Left M - Right Z - Confirm/Weak Attack X - Cancel/Strong Attack C - Guard V - Skill Q - Pause Menu
Player2 -- I - Up/Jump K - Down/Crouch J - Left L - Right A - Confirm/Weak Attack S - Cancel/Strong Attack D - Guard F - Skill W - Pause Menu
Player3 -- Up arrow - Up/Jump Down arrow - Down/Crouch Left arrow - Left Right arrow - Right Numpad 1 - Confirm/Weak Attack Numpad 2 - Cancel/Strong Attack Numpad 3 - Guard Numpad 9 - Pause Menu Numpad Enter - Skill
Super Mario Bros. Crossover is a crossover platform flash video game launched on Newgrounds on April 27th, 2010 by Exploding Rabbit. It is based mostly on the game-play of Nintendo's Super Mario Bros. for the NES, the only major difference is the ability to control characters that debuted in other Nintendo Entertainment System games unrelated to the Mario series.
Mushroom Kingdom Fusion (also known as MKFusion and MKF) is a fan game with modified Mario gameplay, crossed over with many different video game universes and elements.

APB reloaded is free now, I played it when it wasn't and it was pretty good I guess. the music importing and stuff was funny, other people can hear your car stereo playing any mp3 you've imported, but it didn't work if you'd play the songs at a club as a DJ though..
this game is only fun if you play it with others in a party, not recommended for going solo this.
Extra parts Extra parts mirror Some more mods Ion Engine Orbital Data Forum Ever wanted to be an astronaut, be part of NASA, explore space & the galaxy far beyond, study physics or the gravity of earth and other planets or blow things up especially rockets with rockets along with rockets attached with rockets? If you answered yes to all of the above then this is the game for you.
Kerbal Space Program is a game focusing on making your own space program. Yes, that's it. But it does not end there, oh no; even though there are currently only two engines it's the almost endless combinations possible that makes this so enjoyable to play. You see, much like real space rockets this game features multistage rockets that you design and create. Setting up these multistages is easy, though it can become rather complicated when your rocket has a gazillion stages. There is no real goal. You might want to achieve a stable orbit around the planet or just reach for the stars. You can also satisfy your competetive side of yourself and challenge your friends to a game of "who-can-reach-the-highest-altitude". And have you ever wanted to prove to NASA how lousy their space rockets are? This is the time to prove to them how wrong they are in their designs!
Kerbal Space Program is currently in alpha, to quote the developers:
The game is currently under heavy development. This means the game will be improved on a regular basis, so be sure to check back for new updates. Right now, KSP is in Alpha state, but we want you to try it out and have fun with it. The first versions are free to download and play, and will remain so forever.
The KSP Team is strongly commited to the project, and we are always listening for feedback from the players. If you have any questions, comments and ideas, please contact us, or join us on the Forums.
Basic run down, build a space rocket with any parts you wish, then test it on the launch pad if it's stable, then launch perhaps successfully into space, stop midway through the atmosphere, or blow up because your rocket is too bloated and unstable which caused to topple out of balance, or maybe too much rocket fuel. You have the brave trio crew of Bill, Jebediah and Bob Kerbal, they aren't pro astronauts, and they're actually pretty clueless when it comes to space, but they're here for you in the name of science~!
GAMEPLAY STUFF:
Propulsion:
Solid Fuel Rocket
Description: High thrust for a short period of time. And unlike the liquid fuel rocket its fuel is within it.
Liquid Fuel Rocket and its Tank
Description: Moderate thrust for a longer period of time, this time can be extended by stacking fuel tanks on top of eachother The liquid fuel rocket works by attaching the rocket muzzle itself to the end of the liquid tank.
Command & Control Command Pod
Description: The Kerman trio (seen in the lower right corner in-game) inhabits this pod for the duration of the flight (also their metal coffin if you so desire :v:).
S.A.S Module
Description: As long as this module is attached to the rocket and you hold the F key (or t to toggle), it'll apply force to attempt to keep the rocket straight. More of these will make the ship more stable but will add to the overall weight.
Structural & Aerodynamic
Decoupler
Description: attachable to the side of a module, and on it other things (such as rockets) can be attached. When the stage that the decoupler is part of is activated, the decoupler detaches from the module it's attached to. Extremely useful.
Stacked Decoupler
Description: This decoupler is only attachable to the top/bottom of a module, and it will detach itself from the module above it when its stage is activated
Stack Tri-coupler
Description: You can attach 3 modules to this one while it itself is attached to a single module. However, it's not detachable itself like the decouplers.
Wings
Description: Aerodynamic wings that are attachable to your craft.
Utility & Scientific
Parachute
Description: Attachable to anything like everything else and will extend a parachute when triggered in a stage. Its main use is to land the command pod safely in case you re-enter the planet or didn't reach space.
The Extra Parts Pack
This pack contains parts that looks more like the rockets NASA uses (think BIG).

I don't know but whatever side you're on, you hate the other side to the very core. It's basically an FPS team deathmatch/capture the flag (in this case an intelligence briefcase) with a large element in building bunkers and digging trenches, or if you're autistic enough do the same shit as in Minecraft. The battles can last an entire day and really does come out being really intense and war torn, almost like a real war, complete with the propaganda the community as made throughout both sides of the war.
