Osu! skins are fine, they add a lot more to the game. There is one thing, however; you should be able to 'merge' skins that you both like, but have totally different focuses. For example, if i have my favorite osu! & taiko skin enabled and i want to play with my other skin that's for mania or ctb, i would have to go into settings and manually switch them out everytime i want to play a different game mode. What you should be able to do is, click on a button in the skin settings tab, select the two skins, and click merge. It will then give you a prompt confirming if you want to do this, as it could, albeit rarely, cause corruption in the skins.
This would be great because with a couple presses of a button, you would no longer have to keep constantly switching between your different skins. Before i'm done with this post, i'll suggest one more 'improvment' with this. If there is a conflict between the skins being merged; for example, if you have two skins that both have Osu! retextured, but only one of them has the taiko skin you want to merge, you can select which one will overwrite which. In other words, you either get to keep Skin A's Osu! with skin B's taiko, or, Skin B's Osu! with Skin B's taiko. I don't know if there should be an option to only overwrite certain things between a conflict, such as, keeping the hit sounds of A, while you have the miss sounds of B, and vice-versa.
