It's not 1/16, not even 1/8 if I remeber correct, just simple 1/4.
Taiko, not osu!standard. Sliders get converted to notes if they're too short and don't have Taiko-only mode on.

@1miko1: I swear you're doing it wrong. If you're judging your hits by the noise that's in the BG music, then that's probably why; the notes don't follow that noise.

Because if they were truly 1/16, then I don't think anyone outside of Cookiezi or ShaggoN can FC that on osu!standard.

Ofc it is 1/8 in osu!, but because of strange algorithm, its 1/16 in taiko...Also, if its 1/4, 1/6 or even 1/8, why MittenMasterz and youngdow didn't FC it? I can bet that it's faster than 1/8, probably 1/16. Also, peppy knows how this algorithm work, so he should be able to judge wether it's "simple 1/4" , 1/8 or 1/16. And 1/8 is possible with 170bpm, that's why people can FC it in osu!
EDIT: I checked how this algorith works...It converts beggning and the ending of slider to a beat, and add some notes inside if its somewhat longer. So, in marisa, where there are 1/8 sliders it converts the ending to the beats as well, so there are 2x more notes = its 1/16

EDIT2: There is 193 notes in that stream divide by duration 8,47 gives about 22,75 clicks per second. 22,75*60/170=8. I guess I was wrong then and it's 1/8 stream. Anyway the question is, why people in osu! can pass it and they can't in taiko (most of them...)? Then it must be 1/4 in osu!, and probably is. Well, it is possible to FC it then, but none 100? Odd. And rokodo had to press both brums in deathstream to get only 1k less score than kanopu. So even if it is only 1/8 stream, I am pretty sure that both of them cheated

In any case, long explanation short: it's not possible to have a slider that's 1/16 short. No 1/16 short sliders = no 1/16 apart notes.

...are you seriously implying that if a pro can do it, then youngdow/Mittenz can do it as well...?

youngdow may be a true Tatsujin, but he isn't a Taiko god to be able to do everything.

Also reminding that even youngdow himself said that Marisa stream is possible (no idea why he isn't doing it... probably because he doesn't have anything to plug Tatacon to his comp)

Lol why is this even being debated, Taiko is full of cheaters. (Reason why I don't play ranked anymore, let alone play much at all) Still can't believe you guys haven't realized kanpou is hax xD.(My suspicion is that it's a multi account. >.>) Like really if he were to fc that marisa roll with tatacon, imagine the lag between the hit and then the register on osu!.

But none the less I will put my 2 cents in on this marisa thing.

I have sat down for a few hours in the past trying to hit the marisa "deathstream" and I still can't really do it, compared to other deathstreams I have perfected: Shoushitsu, 250BPM, U.N. Owen Was Her. Marisa should be A WALK IN THE PARK. I know i'm going fast enough but my hits arn't registering, kinda dumb.

And mmkay, I think the only way to have any proofs if kanopu cheated or not is to open his replay manually and check it for suspitiously equal timings between hits on that deathstream (though like hell if I know how to do that).

Any further discussions are pretty pointless, just personal opinions, thoughts going in the "how to fc that stream" and not "if #1 is cheated" way.

I already said that I was wrong, it's 1/8, which doesn't mean kanpou and Rokodo didn't cheat. SS on thatstream seems impossible and double clicking is impossible as well, and probably just passing it with alot of 100 is impossible. Also, i just passed it on HT so can someone tell me what is halftime speed?
@TKiller: I have no idea how to download it to the HDD so I can open it with notepad, so we can solve this mysterious problem if peppy just check the replay on server.

Anyway, I won't belive any of these score is fair... But probably because of "lack of evidence" no action will be taken =/. But it's just like the guy on emerald sword...There is no proof really, but it's obvious he idd cheat, right?

Although I don't pay that much attention to my play count, I do tend to practice offline or with the Spun-Out mod on before I come close to FCing a song with FL.

Honestly, I don't think this guy is new to osu. Even super-noobs can't do that.

& also, droplets are about 10pts each, so I guess he lost a few couple of thousands from his overall score without the droplets.
So he just probably went to catch MORE fruit to make up for the droplets. But I think I might as well just try out what he did for some results...

NO. There's NO way to complete the song with THAT score in the day of registration. Just THREE 100s, NOT by misclicking with the rhytm of song, but by mouse movement, he felt off the slider for THREE times.

btw, it's #35 atm so if any1 wanna see that replay, he/she'd better hurry

you can't compare Marisa to any of the EBA/Ouendan maps, if you actually played the map you would know.

Please guys try to play this one: Takeharu Ishimoto - Emptiness And by buraimaster1234 [Easy], and let me know how many combo you will get.

I was going to fix my old record with 399 combo, but now when I finish play with SS I get only 347, how this is possible?!

Let me know if all of you have the same problem. That's weird.

Well many people talk about Cookiezi's replay on the map Hommarju feat. Latte - masterpiece(http://osu.ppy.sh/s/12483).

OD10 is the highest,but it's not so hard that we imagined.

cause those jumps were too hard. even u can see through the FL it is still hard to fc. and Mikhe has already get the #1 so he doesnt have to go on.

I don't cheat. First, you can see the notes with Hidden+Flashlight in Catch the Beat, though just for a split second. Second, look at my play counts.

720 plays - Hatsune Miku - Hatsune Miku no Shoushitsu [Uninstall]
300 plays - IOSYS - Marisa wa Taihen na Kanbu de Tomatte Ikimashita [Love]
300 plays - IOSYS - Marisa wa Taihen na Mono wo Nusunde Ikimashita [Hard]

In almost all cases, these amounts of plays are enough to memorize a map, and then FC it with Flashlight or Hidden+Flashlight in Catch the Beat. :)

Also, IIRC, ranks in Catch the Beat are based off of accuracy alone...it seems to be that anything 98.00% and above is an S. (Given that it's been this way all this time I'd assume it's intentional...)

In CtB you can see a bit of the fruits on top before being cloaked by hidden, and it's quite easy to follow if they are not so separated.

Yeah, Touchscreen has disadvantage on sight searching, but has advantage. If you memorising as well, you can hit the note with only foresee. just be reckless.

I use grid panel and few marker to play FL. as i know, It is legit. also, I already accused for cheating once because of FL + HD. many people don't know about this case. My account already deleted once because of this case, but revived by peppy. (I was spected by peppy.)

If you see my replays, you can find out my play style is totally different when I use FL. I often use dragging to serach for the exact position of next note(sometimes not, If I practice much)

Also, who said I use only 1 PC in FL? hm?

you are surely able to recorded a video about your playing with FL(+other mods) by your awesome touchscreen,right?
just do it and then all the questions will be clear

Unfortunately I don't have any device to record the video thing. I think, you say very easiliy 'just do it', but I can't make that kind of video. and I can't believe who accused for cheating can makes that kind of video always.

I did upload a poor quality picture of me in the past, but even that was difficult to me. I was borrow it from my friend, but I can not contact with that friend right now. and as I know he don't have camcorder thing either.

but I try to show something with effort. yeah, I don't have camcorder but I can record live video when I actually play the map. in this video, I show you my system administrator and what application in my memory (macroing, some application to cheat, anything, if there is something application possible to use cheat(in fact, I don't know about this much), plz send me PM, then I remake this video without that application. or I'll send you that file to analysis), and play the map with FL. it was very laggy so I couldn't make it FC in short time. but as I think, this record cleary show if I'm in my best condition I can make good result.

(I'll expalin some applications. DTLite.exe = daemontool, for CD image, wc11sta.exe = management for USB lancard, RTHDCPL.exe = Realtek HD Audio)

and I think, many one don't pay attention about a fact, I was spectated by peppy accidentally. as I know, It is a one of way to proof someone is a cheater or not. If I use cheat, I was purged in that moment instead revived. Please think about this.

The post to end ALL arguments about Bikko.

As a #korean moderator, I understand that I have no say about whether a player is cheating or not; that is up to the admins, not me.

However, I didn't become an irc moderator for nothing. I was recommended for the post because I was deemed reasonable, reliable, and responsible.

With that in mind, Bikko live-streamed himself playing osu! through afreeca.com, an internet broadcasting site in Korea. He showed me how he had no other processes running except osu!, afreeca player, and other necessities (wi-fi support, etc.), and then played this map with Hidden, HardRock, and Flashlight. He did not FC the song, but after watching three plays, I was totally convinced that his records are the result of his practice and skill, not cheating.

If you still think this is not enough and think I was fooled by Bikko, PM me and we will have a nice long discussion about it.

Lastly, I would like to stress that Bikko has already been cleared by none other than peppy himself. If you think you are better than peppy at telling if a player is cheating or not, go apply for an admin or something. I'm suyre peppy will be pleased to let you in the team.

I feel bad about posting this in this thread, this thread has been misused too much. However, I felt I had to say something.

For those who didn't understand,

STOP ACCUSING BIKKO, HE IS AS LEGIT AS YOU ARE. JUST CUZ YOU CAN'T DO IT DOESN'T MEAN EVERYONE ELSE CAN'T.

I have spec peppy playing with his touchscreen several month ago,so,don't take it seriously
I just can't understand how to play with FL mod by touchscreen (have no chance to touch it :_;)(hid hardrock is quite easy with touchscreen)

New hacker found? Just look this, Rokodo is a great taiko player... But ddrddr125 look used cheat, he got more combos than Rokodo... And Rokodo not have misses (always when I send some hacker/glitch image, I put the second with the 0 misses combo, and full combo, for compare):

Replay shows that Cyborg barely ranks inside #40 with 5.3 million-ish score. However, his score is recorded as 6.8 million. A glitch in the algorithm maybe?

2nd: The Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker - Molgera [Insane] (Taiko)

Again, replay shows that ddrddr125 has only 381 combos with a score of 416,XXX. Probably an error occured while the score was being submitted.
