dont know how to change star settings

could someone tell me how to change the star settings?
for example: http://imgur.com/a/T7ajF
i want to make it so that the 'stars' in the bottom image to be like a bar and not a smaller star like the top image

I believe it's star2.png
Or it's star.png
The other one is used for combobursts/cursortrailstars

for example, for a 5.5 star song, how do i make it show 5 stars and half of another star, not 5 stars and a smaller star?
