Thirteenth strike-out from Striker II, and I have officially given up on this motherfuckerboard. I went to some (Swedish) Internet stores, looking for a Gigabyte mobo or something... But no. AsusAsusAsusAsusAsusAsus. ;_;

So I'm thinking about getting a P5Q PRO. It has all the functions I need for my build, and I don't care about LCD's and stuff, as long as it works. I've googled for problems with the board for an hour, and it seems to be a good mobo. But I want to be sure I'm not throwing money into the lake, so does anyone here have a computer with said mobo? Is it stable? Did you have any trouble building it?

Also, I'll need a new CPU cooler. The stock fan is made of AIDS and crappyplasticpinswhichareapainintheasstosnapintothemotherboardandbreakeasilyrenderingtheworthlesspieceofshitevenmoreuseless. My processor is a Q9450, and I'm not planning to overclock. A low price and a sturdy build is what I want, so what would you recommend?

I'm currently using an MSI P6N Platinum, in case you're interested. It should function with what I remember of your specs just fine.

Gigabyte seems to be the in thing to get now-a-days, though.

The stores I checked used to have Gigabyte cards, but they're all sold out now. They barely ever had any MSI cards at any point at all, so that's even harder to get.

So I got that new mobo and an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7. I think Bison says it much better than I could:

Everything seems to work at first, but it won't find the HDD. Oh well, I'll work on it tomorrow.
