Today was a good day.
I cleared 1-5 (my first extra operation clear without counting E-5), got I-19, and gained enough levels so Yuudachi can epoilution.

Those 3 days were a rush towards all EOs, 5-5 included. I learned to tickle Re-chan a bit and eventually passed through 50% of the time. Thanks to Aircraft Proficiency, AS is now bearable. This was my first serious try and therefore very first clear of this map ever.

Dude, I even S'd the node somehow. What's even more amazing is the fact that I had Shigure with triple torpedo and Eugen with skilled lookouts ready to cut-in right after Myoukou did her 200 crit on the boss and killed her. The part about it all that beats everything though, is the fact that as soon as I switched in Inazuma as boss support flagship, the boss support fleet suddenly sunk all the shit escorts at the bottom every run instantly. She brought the nano death upon them all. I've truly given the ring to the right ship, and even to this day she has yet to disappoint me.

@^: I just did. I still don't know the accurate calculation yet, but it seems like it adds 25 extra AS for each >> Reppuu you put in. I won't go CVhappyland personally, cause they are way more fragile that way, not to mention that missing kills in day battle pretty much put an end to the current attempt.

I S-ranked the first node before shelling phase happened. Clearing 3+ ships in aerial phase is very possible too.
5 CVs can hold 14 slots of bombers, using 5 slots of fighters and 1 Saiun slot. To be specific in my previous post, I got to boss 2 times and killed her both times, just that I still retreated/compass'd a few other times
Really wishing I could just nuke the Re Elite node too to prevent pre-emp though but doesn't seem likely, so I'll drop a few bombers+saiun for bulges instead

Do your girls except for YKKZ actually do good damage in NB like that? Their low luck means they won't use Cut Ins often, and single torpedo hits are inaccurate from my experience. The usual build for them is 2 guns + 1 aux (AA, Sonar, Radar, etc, NOT main gun or torp) which will allow them to Double Attack 99% of the time, with very good accuracy.
Try and make the switch, they'll do a lot more damage on average except for event bosses with too much armor

I'll add to the stone that CI builds in this map are also pointless since everything is easily one-shottable. There are only light ships on the boss node, nothing else.

I consider 3-5 a sparkle map, esp. for South route since you have to face Line Ahead torpedoes (extreme accuracy/damage for your light fleet) and a pretty solid boss.
North is just harder on costs and doesn't arrange anything for me(except for the boss that becomes easy), so I never take it. (maybe I'll hunt for a 2nd Akashi one day)
Lastly, some people have been testing the Hayasui route, which doesn't have a 100% routing. On the other hand, you can bring heavier ships and have much less trouble going to boss. (Hayasui, 1 CAV, 3 CL and 1 AV works fairly well for example)

if she gets to at most orange before hoppou node you can use the damecon as a fail-safe if necessary
or you can go 2CLT4CV, blow as many enemies up before shelling phase as possible and hope hoppou is nice (which she generally is)

Aside from E3 giving me the spank, I have no clue about how the fuck we are supposed to rekt PT babies, they seem to have some sort of extreme evasion values.
Also, no big fucking deal but I worked on editing the Event pages on the Wiki with the mod event team, and we got a fuckload of info in a short amount of time. Mainly the patterns, though.

Taking a CV fleet for E4 Easy, but there's some sort of (BB+CV+CLT) branching that will make you more likely to fight another node if overshot.
So far using 2 CLT and 2 CV total is sending me west from B which is good. I also put in 2 more CVLs.
Hopefully this tactic sticks for Hard

So I'm searching for Mizuho at E3 because I was lazy and didn't feel like doing it last event (already cleared it on med/hard at that point), but all of my ships completely fail the moment they get to the boss node. Does anyone have any tips for consistently S'ing E3's boss (on Easy)? I'm running a standard LHA + 4 DD + CAV // CL + 3DD + 2CAV setup with one cut-in by the way.

Switched back to Surface Fleet because the BB Hime formation has 2x the drop rate of the Wo Kai formation in Easy (click the + beside Graf, compare 1153 vs 2559 as of writing this), and my personal theory is Surface Fleet will see BB Hime more often.

I don't mind an easier event after summer. I think I need to sacrifice more innocent animals though, I've gotten 11 drops as CV's, just not the one I want. I could make an underwater base with the amount of subs I have to throw away.

currently on expedcollie attempting to make it back to farm like a madman on saturday for graf. If graf comes early (or at all ;n;) i'll be going back to e-3 for akizuki and mythzuhou lol
started the event with about 100k ammo and 525 buckets, i burnt through pretty much all of it on E-4, took me around 175 runs to get prinz, and i'm about 80 runs deep into graf farming. not to mention the 50 that i did attempting to get akizuki
well I'm down to 6 buckets and 2.5k fuel and no Akizuki.

Back after one week of nothing.
I'm glad that Oboro got a revamped art for her Kai. Now they need to do that for Shibafu's stock characters.
But the best of the damn best is probably the PT Imp scroll given upon the fuck up they had to hotfix during the event, love this.

I recently got a new laptop, and with as with every new installation, I do all sorts of set up with my programs and settings and mucking around with obscure Windows functions and whatnot... so when my KCV just randomly broke while I was in the middle of disabling services, you can imagine how headache that quickly became. Of course, this was only after fixing 10 other issues that are fundamentally wrong with the OS.
So yeah, that advice helped a lot~
PS. I'd like to think of myself as at least a relatively advanced Windows user, so it kind of pisses me off when dumb stuff like this just randomly breaks for no reason. Guess that's Windows 10 for you. Avoid like the plague if you haven't already been infected.
You can roll back/uninstall the update by going to your windows update security settings, and viewing the history of past update installations and uninstall the latest one until KCV get's fixed.Kitsunemimi wrote:
