Status is updated. I'm shocked to see that ^ is the only vote that was cast all day (so far, anyway).

I am assuming the other 2 people are waiting for an opportunity to epicvote; I'll keep as close an eye on things tomorrow evening as I can.

Wojjan and whoatefred have made efforts to defend themselves and vote on whom they thought was suspicious. However...

matthewtck came in with a random role claim, a random vote, and has now disappeared with seemingly no intention to protect himself.

Basically, it's extremely unlikely to lynch a wolf day 1. Wolves have 7-8 (probably 8) effective voting power. There are 17-18 humans, but humans do not have that much voting power because no one knows for sure who a wolf is or was. Human voting power is closer to 1-3. This means that matthewtck and Wojjan are unlikely to be wolves, because it's the last day of day 1. If they are both human, it makes it unlikely for whoatefred to be a wolf as well. This was evidenced in wwg4.

Why look at people with 1 vote on them then (and the people who voted for them)? It's very unlikely they've had to use all of their votes to get Wojjan and matthewtck to the status they are at. Why not "random vote" "for fun" while everyone else is doing it? See guys? My vote totally had no meaning at all, I'm totally not a wolf.

Not necessarily. There are 11~ votes that can be moved around. Since pretty much anyone is more likely to be a wolf than Wojjan and matthewckck, I'm going to pick someone as an alternative.

unvote, vote Todesengal for contributing next to nothing to this game, despite being online a lot.

I dunno about more likely. As you said, its the end of day 1 and the chances of us lynching a wolf is minimal, so I'm just gonna stick with my first instinct.

I haven't really seen anything that makes me suspicious despite my near-constant presence in irc so I must be doing something wrong. I don't really have anything to contribute except that I have the vague sense that Two is being a little manipulative.

Yes. Your reasons for voting for them are BS, and it's the reason why he has the most votes right now: because the wolves want him to get lynched. With less than 3 hours left for day 1, with wolves calling the shots day 1, there is NO CHANCE that he is a wolf. Even if you are a human, whoatefred, there is at least a CHANCE for you not to be. That sounds better to me.

I just strongly feel that we should stay away from the people who have the most votes at the end of day 1. There's no chance of them being wolves. I'm repeating this because I think my previous post(s) were confusing.

Sorry, crappy connection was being extra-crappy. I am seriously sitting not even ten feet outside my house now, where the community wireless connection is APPARENTLY MUCH better. Go figure.

Sundown came, and though the vote was close for a long while, whoatefred's name was highest on the lynch standing board; he was taken to the gallows and hanged until dead. I will allow him one last post for final words; barring that,

whoatefred is now dead and is out of the game.

Morning came, and there was the obvious victim body, lying on the ground near its house.

Since the body's clothes weren't horribly out of shape, it didn't take long to identify the body as that of Two.

Two is now dead and is out of the game.

There were now 23 remaining.

that log is not incriminating nor factual in the least bit, and doesnt justify a vote. you have no actual information, besides the fact that two was nked (why this makes me scum i do not know), that proves i am wolf.

that being said, i believe chris is human as well. there is no way to be 100% sure, though, because Two would have said the exact same thing about chris last game.

Two getting NK'd made me look directly at you, considering it seems you would have the most to gain from Two dying.

I don't have any set in stone evidence, but right now all the suspicion is on you. Usually I'd figure, assuming you were a wolf you would kill Two on night two or three to avoid suspicion. This time I'm considering the fact it was done earlier due to fear of being scanned.

"The only person I have to convince is Two", is what I said to you on MSN. I honestly believe that Two wouldn't of died if I never said that, which is another big reason that I decided to vote for you.

the only possible shortcoming in this masterstroke of logic is that Rolled might not have known/thought Two was the psychic, depriving him of a motive to kill Two other than the usual "Two is intelligent so we need to get rid of him" logic wolves follow. The other shortcoming is the assumption that the wolves get their sniff pm (?) before they send out the NK pm. It's highly possible that the headwolf sent out the sniff pm and the nk pm at the same time (assuming the headwolf is the 'spokesperson') and since Ace stated in the rules that he takes the FIRST nk pm, then the wolves couldn't have known/thought Two was the psychic before/when they sent out the nk pm. I am assuming the wolves get a pm back from ace regarding their sniff target, but I don't know when they get it (ie, at the end of Night, at the dawn of Day, whenever Ace happens to read it during Night). If Ace returns the pm with the identity of who the wolves sniff during night, then your theory does in fact have validity.

You know Derekku, maybe you should point your attention towards adam2046.
I haven't seen him around for quite some time. If I am mistaken, please point this out.
But his absence from this forum and from the irc has lead me to suspect him as a vampire. Although, then again, I suppose inactivity really isn't a cause for suspicion alarms to go off.

I reread the threread, and saw a lot of weird things from Blackthorne. Why the hell so defensive, dude?
Also, I think we need to find a place to slam all the IRC logs onto. I suggest a pastebin, since you can't alter that while keeping the same URL.

Well I am again voting Wojjan. In this log (courtesy of Ival) he acted very skeptical of Two's validity, even though Two was NK'd. And while technically it is possible that the vamps could have sacrificed a vampy Two, it really wouldn't have accomplished anything since all Two did was clear someone (well, two people, even though I'm not entirely sure how. I have theories though). If he was lying about being the Psychic, why not accuse someone? Even so, seeing as the coroner is very likely still alive, there really wouldn't have been any point to sacrificing one of their own this early.

So for me, this is a big deja-vu of the wolves last game who insisted on lynching NoHItter when it was fairly obvious that it was the wrong move.

But...as for Wojjan I personally don't see it being that much of a threat comparing to blackthorne...

I'm not voting for Blackthorne because he's a wolf actually but only because of the way he acts, I mean sure you can play defensively and stall but it is indeed majority rules and a defensive like his would never become a part of a majority.

He's not trying to unite people against Blackthorne, he simply stated what he thought about Blackthorne and everyone followed.
And might I add that I voted for DJ Blackthorne first, simply because I thought he was suspicious to begin with. The irc log that Chris posted already made me think against him, thus me voting for him. More voting was done against DJ Blackthorne after my initial vote.

Anyway, I'm still sticking with Blackthorne, and he isn't around to defend himself. I haven't seen him today. Or that could just be because I was AFK from the irc for a while. But Tode said in the irc that no one was talking in the irc.

As for the "Suspicious statement" that Blackthorne made...

As I was not there at the time, I cannot know when Blackthorne started typing his comment. However, from the way this is worded and the timing on the log, the way I see it is that Blackthorne started typing it after Chris's first line. "I have a wolf on the inside who gave me all the wolf names."

If he had started typing it at the time of the second comment, it would be suspicious. Again, since I was not there, I can't weigh the statement.

As for the rest of Chris's case, I don't see anything about it that seems particularly wolfish.

Therefore I strongly suggest you stop your dangerous thinking, and it IS dangerous, because it is STUPID to lynch someone you think is a Human for ANY reason. If you believe someone is Human, but choose to try to get them lynched anyway, you are supporting the Vampires. I personally see LESS than ZERO possible benefit from "getting rid of a stupid/bad townie."

Just thought I'd say.

Now on the other hand, it would be FAR less stupid to vote for someone you think is a Vampire, which is what you are supposed to be doing.

How come no one has addressed the fact that the NK'd psychic-claiming Two has cleared strager and Chris? It seems odd to me that there are people still discussing voting for Chris when a dead, quite-likely psychic says he's human.

Now I do realize that Two wouldn't be able to scan twice so it's likely that one of them was cleared by other means (of, admittedly, unknown validity), but there still is a decent chance he was cleared by Psychic investigation. It would be kind of nice if Two could shed some light on the whole situation, but I don't know where his mind is at (I never do).

What are everyone else's thoughts on this?

Right. Reread the thread like three-four times, along with the logs. Posting to offer my view at the situation :D

Starting off, I don't think Two would have any reason at all to lie about him being a psychic and strager and chris's human status. Provided that it is very, very unlikely for the wolves to sacrifice a wolf Two on the first night, Two is most definitely a human and a psychic, which pretty much clears strager. As for Chris, I have no idea what methods Two used to claim Chris's humanity (see Ivalsetto's claim that Two scanned strager), but I brush it aside for now as there are more important matters at hand.

Which brings me to...DxS.

LadySuburu has already posted what I wanted to say, but seriously, DxS is three times as more suspicious as NoHItter was in last WWG. For those who don't understand, that's quite a high level of suspiciousness. Instantly going all-out to lynch someone for no solid reason on day 1 might be eyebrow-raising but understandable. Trying the same thing again without additional evidence is definitely suspicious. What's even more suspicious is that he changes his vote to Blackthorne so easily. His pathetic excuse for a reason (I think it had something to do with Blackthorne not following the majority) only tells me that he is eager to jump on any bandwagon that flies atm.

i.e. the classic behavior of a wolf.

Read Chris's log with Blackthorne, and I gotta admit, Blackthorne is acting quite differently from the last WWG, where he was a civ (were you? I'm not 100% sure) However, nothing too suspicious yet.

Didn't even bother to read the log accusing wojjan. Apologies to Ival who provided the log, but I'm just too lazy to read a log that long.

So,

Vote : DxS until anything new comes up. I'd love to see DxS actually make a defense for himself, since he hasn't done that in this game yet.
