Name-change causes new submission

After I changed the name of my beatmap and uploaded the map, it results in a completely new submission thread instead of overwriting the old one. I also changed the name of the song folder of my map, maybe that's why i can't overwrite the old map.
Is there a way to overwrite the old map/thread again?

Edit: oh, i recogniced that there is a thread describing how to fix this problem, i will try this out, when this solves my problem, I am sorry for this thread...

Changing the Title/Artist of a song without doing some certain things will always end on a duplicate map. Don't worry, we all had this problem before xD

You'd like to visit this thread to don't get a duplicate next time viewtopic.php?f=56&t=24443

I'll remove the duplicate map, but the thing is that the old map has star priority and the duplicated doesn't, so... would you like to delete the new and change the title again using the thread method to not to lose that priority and keep the original thread?

I'll wait for your answer~

Ok, what have i done now?

I followed the instrucions of the "hard method" and I uploaded the map. Somehow I overwrote the old map with the newer version, but there is no beatmap information page, only the forum thread about the map. What have I done wrong?

And yes, I want to have the "new" map to be deleted so I can work with the map who has star priority

Well, now that the map has the correct name make a Full Submission and hope for the best D:

And just a silly thing, but I heard some people had this problem before... Don't click Cancel or anyrhing else when the map is already uploaded, just wait to the web to open on your browser =x

After I've done a full submission for about 5 times, it finaly works. Thank you very much ^^
