Newbie here looking for some help

Hi guys. I started playing osu! about 2 weeks back. I am really enjoying this game. The thing is I get stuck in all the maps which are not normal or easy. How do I overcome this. I would be really grateful if some one can give me a few tips. Thanks a lot.

Oh and also.....how to be good at the spinners...

there are a few threads in the Gameplay & Ranking forum that might help you such as this and this. Past that, it just comes down to practice. it'll take some time to be able to play Hard's and above. I'd suggest sticking to Normal's and Easy's until you have a good feel for the game and feel like trying something more challenging. you could also try things like tillerino bot or the Recommended Beatmaps. just keep playing and you'll improve in no time

My advice would be not to jump from some difficulty to a really higher one, i.e. 2.5* to 3.8*. You should first be able to FullCombo normal maps, then try the sort > By difficulty option on the top right of song select and move on to songs that are a bit more difficult than the previous ones. Don't rush yourself. You'll improve as you play more and more.

Try playing some Hard maps. It's okay if you don't get a full combo on them at first, you just need to survive them in order to get used to playing harder maps.

Practise, practise, practise! I started off playing Mania - which I found to be quite similar to Guitar Hero - and worked my way from there.

Keep practising at the Easy and Normal maps - until you're getting grade A or higher consistently - before going on to Hard. For help with spinners, a good, easy-to-grip mouse on a smooth a surface as possible is ideal. You could even invest in a tablet, if that makes it easier for you.
