I thought the crowns on Oni unlocks the Kanpeki mode? (Sudden Death)
Errr, as far as I know it's NOT Yonbai; I always have Yonbai on all of my games, and I never play Kantan...

I need to confirm later which one I have. So far I have Doron, all the speed mods, Kanpeki... I think there's one more I might be missing or something. Maybe 2, I don't know, I don't remember wtf, I don't have my DS with me atm, and I'm not at home.

Yes, after you beat the main RPG mode, you're taken to the tower. Jigoku no Daiou is unlocked through there, I think.

When ever I try to download graveyarded maps, I get this...
"You can't download graveyarded maps, sorry!"

And lots of song in this list is graveyarded songs, for example, lots of aquabluu's and zekira's submitted maps...

WHAT. I thought they were supposed to be downloadable! Dammit I'm going to have to ungrave Rotter Tarmination, Carnivorous Carnival, Yuujou Pop, Ryougen no Mai and DON'T CUT...but in the meantime I could put it on as a forum download till I have the time to continue work on them.

EDIT: peppy has spoken about the graveyarded maps thing and he did say he was going to take some action, but he's planning to implement some leniency on some of the more 'popular' graveyarded maps, but he's soon going for the deletion of really old graveyarded maps. I'm not sure how he'll implement this, but just to be safe, post a reply on all the Taiko maps in the graveyard NOW plz lol

Got a clean rom,then patched it via 2ch's openpatch~

Playing right now~~
and Sweet Lay definitely is a sequel to mint tears,
although it sounds more lively,the vocals are just as whispery
as before lol

I submitted Rotter Tarmination, and I'll start to get mod about middle of the July.
The problem is... DIFFICULTY SPREAD.
Basically one mapset can't include more than 6 maps and 2 Insanes, and these are not exceptions with Taiko maps.
Seems these rules aren't applied that tightly, but it can be problem if you want to make map with inner Oni ranked......

For example, I submitted Rotter and I want to make 3 Standard(N/H/I) + 3 Taiko(M/O/iO), but Oni is almost always I, and Muzukashii tend to receive over 4.5 star rate difficulty and get I. And this makes difficulty spread N/H/I/I/I/I. Even if muzukashii is regarded as hard, there are already 3 insanes so it cannot be ranked. (but as I said, these rules aren't applied that tightly......)
If this happens, I think I'll exclude insane, and this makes lame mapset which can't satisfy standard osu players. That difficulty spread rule is the biggest obstacle of Taiko mapping.
(Anyway, I'll keep hard under 4.45 star so it can be shown as 'hard'.... so it won't be N/I/I/I/I/I)

Well, actually I think I'll take some of aquabluu's graveyarded maps somedays... to make them ranked.

I think I might need to slow down on playing this, since I'm just going to do everything all over again when my original copy of this game comes over, and I have no idea how long it will take! Hahahahahaha

Maybe I'll just unlock Oni and just look for some special charts here first, then I'll stop for a while... not going to work on Youkai Daikessen on this ROM.

EDIT: ...I don't see no YMCK song... wtf 765, you put YMCk on the guest list then you tell players to UNLOCK it; what if there are players who introduced themselves to Taiko all because there's a YMCK song...? >_>

I am blind, sorry D: But wtf, the preview time doesn't sound so 8-bit at first because of the too loud vocals >_>

Also, Totoro's song has:

1.) fail MP3, for there's some minor noise on the lead-in time
2.) fail cut. What the heck was 765 thinking by ending the chart in the middle of the chorus...?

EDIT: The drumroll spam on the YMCK makes me scared of how this Oni chart will turn out... I blame Family Dondon for that.

The one with"武" sells hitsounds
and the one right beside it sells clothing

The other one is an inn,allowing you to heal up~

The stats are attack and defense..
attack probably affects how much HP you knock off for each hit
and defense affects how much HP you lose when hit

The kyuubi battle used that song,and the youkai..ate notes..o_O

And oh yeah that white cat thing,it startled me with those crazy drumrolls
and speed-up too,almost like those drumroll practise things on Taiko Wii.

Below the HP stat are Attack, then defense. All the costumes you wear increase defense, while the 'neiro', the 'sounds' you can change your regular Taiko to, increase Attack.

The one with the balloon note? Kamaitachi. Little bitch, that thing.

One more thing, if you finish a boss fight without KOing it before the song ends, you lose. So much for not missing any notes. You actually have to pay attention to the stats.

I just had a thought; maybe there's also the equivalent of 'Omega' of FF in the this Daikessen...

IMO it would go something like: you could access it after you beat the game and possibly beat all the bosses on the 4th difficulty (... I'm assuming once you finish the game on 'Muzukashii' or something, it unlocks the 'Oni' difficulty and you could switch to it by going back to that difficulty switching guy in the base), then in some far away corner of the world map or somewhere really really REALLY conspicuously hidden, that ultimate youkai would appear as an extra boss battle; song is Hataraku2000 on Oni (bahahaha), and maybe some HP bordering around to the point that even if you use the strongest drum, that drum will sound really annoying and you still need to get over 90%...

Just some daydreaming due to my experience with RPGs always having a SOAIGHEIUGBUEB boss

So...this is their so-called DS3 special.

Basically they just dragged the director in for some comments,
then talked about the free trial version on Nintendo Channel's
DS session.

Kinda lulzy because people are playing the ROMs right now,so there's no need for
a trial..

I don't know if this is a bug with the ROM or with the actual game, but if you tap kat and then don, sometimes the touch screen will register a hit in a different area of the screen even if you haven't touched it.

Refer to picture below. If you tap kat in that point and then don in that point(yellow circles), the screen will register one hit directly where they meet in the corner(purple circle). It's not a problem with my screen, I tried out this trick on Taiko DS 1 and 2 and this doesn't happen at all.

It happens only occasionally, and still not enough to mess up a perfect run, but it still annoys me.

Come to think about it..sometimes I register a kat along with don
when I tap don on the touch screen.Nothing too troublesome though,
as it didn't break my combo or anything.

Um,any advice on what level should I be on before I go fight against

Also, Tenyou no Mai's Oni isn't that bad. At least it makes more sense than Yumeiro Coaster and Negaigoto Puzzle.

Gaah, all this DS3 madness is driving me to ignore the list again orzzzzzzzzzzz Damn I have to update it and make the maps I wanted to make...

WHERE DO YOU GET THE FREAKING DRILL

STUPID HUMAN AT THE NORTH IN CHAPTER 5 CAN'T OPEN THE FREAKING WAY BECAUSE HE'S ASKING ME FOR A FUCKING DRILL

I've been searching the map for 2 hours now and I STILL CAN'T FIND THE FUCKING DRILL COSTUME >_<

In any case, I think 765 trolled us again with one of the challenge persons... I think it was the second mountain village, which is the first one you encounter in Chapter 4... Song was Hataraku2000 (Muzukashii, thankfully), and the requirement was to get 765000 points... if you clear it, he gives you 876 Yen. What.

To get to Tatsujin notes on Metal Hawk you have to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT in the first part of the song.

Also, about the drill....it's the hair you get after you finish Tenyou no Mai. It's shaped like a cone, and is actually a drill.

The password is used to unlock stuff. Namco'll probably give out the passwords in due time. One of them unlocks a secret song...the McDonalds song pokedigi mentioned earlier.

Because it was Don singing that (...errr, who was the seiyuu again?), I actually kinda like this song... mainly because I can never get 'Dokodooon~' out of my head. Yes this is me encouraging you to work on it sometime, lol

765 got the freaking Hataraku virus when they made this game... seriously.

...oh god, that gave me a lol image: maybe this is how they made Hataraku: they basically opened up their recorder and started working normally XD

Play adventure mode on Daikessen all over again on Muzukashii :>

No seriously I already got 80000 counter and I'm only on chapter 5

Also yeah I can totally imagine them simultaneously playtesting the new songs in the same room, thus giving Hataraku those sounds that they need trolololol

Kotatsu is that small table with the green blanket, and a plate of oranges on top. It's where the Japanese like to keep warm during winter.

You can get it in the farm below the mountain town. Melt the ice blocking the door (by playing the song Melt, no less, lol) and talk to the person inside. If you haven't done so already.

Actually to be honest I'm pretty confused on where you're stuck at :?
