The problem is... DIFFICULTY SPREAD.
Basically one mapset can't include more than 6 maps and 2 Insanes, and these are not exceptions with Taiko maps.
Seems these rules aren't applied that tightly, but it can be problem if you want to make map with inner Oni ranked......

For example, I submitted Rotter and I want to make 3 Standard(N/H/I) + 3 Taiko(M/O/iO), but Oni is almost always I, and Muzukashii tend to receive over 4.5 star rate difficulty and get I. And this makes difficulty spread N/H/I/I/I/I. Even if muzukashii is regarded as hard, there are already 3 insanes so it cannot be ranked. (but as I said, these rules aren't applied that tightly......)
If this happens, I think I'll exclude insane, and this makes lame mapset which can't satisfy standard osu players. That difficulty spread rule is the biggest obstacle of Taiko mapping.
(Anyway, I'll keep hard under 4.45 star so it can be shown as 'hard'.... so it won't be N/I/I/I/I/I)

Well, actually I think I'll take some of aquabluu's graveyarded maps somedays... to make them ranked.

Also, derp the patches aren't agreeing with me for some odd reason... maybe I'll just wait for my copy of Taiko DS3 instead lol

attack probably affects how much HP you knock off for each hit

Below the HP stat are Attack, then defense. All the costumes you wear increase defense, while the 'neiro', the 'sounds' you can change your regular Taiko to, increase Attack.

The one with the balloon note? Kamaitachi. Little bitch, that thing.

One more thing, if you finish a boss fight without KOing it before the song ends, you lose. So much for not missing any notes. You actually have to pay attention to the stats.

I just had a thought; maybe there's also the equivalent of 'Omega' of FF in the this Daikessen...

IMO it would go something like: you could access it after you beat the game and possibly beat all the bosses on the 4th difficulty (... I'm assuming once you finish the game on 'Muzukashii' or something, it unlocks the 'Oni' difficulty and you could switch to it by going back to that difficulty switching guy in the base), then in some far away corner of the world map or somewhere really really REALLY conspicuously hidden, that ultimate youkai would appear as an extra boss battle; song is Hataraku2000 on Oni (bahahaha), and maybe some HP bordering around to the point that even if you use the strongest drum, that drum will sound really annoying and you still need to get over 90%...

So...this is their so-called DS3 special.

Basically they just dragged the director in for some comments,
then talked about the free trial version on Nintendo Channel's
DS session.

Kinda lulzy because people are playing the ROMs right now,so there's no need for

I don't know if this is a bug with the ROM or with the actual game, but if you tap kat and then don, sometimes the touch screen will register a hit in a different area of the screen even if you haven't touched it.

Refer to picture below. If you tap kat in that point and then don in that point(yellow circles), the screen will register one hit directly where they meet in the corner(purple circle). It's not a problem with my screen, I tried out this trick on Taiko DS 1 and 2 and this doesn't happen at all.

It happens only occasionally, and still not enough to mess up a perfect run, but it still annoys me.

I've been searching the map for 2 hours now and I STILL CAN'T FIND THE FUCKING DRILL COSTUME >_<

In any case, I think 765 trolled us again with one of the challenge persons... I think it was the second mountain village, which is the first one you encounter in Chapter 4... Song was Hataraku2000 (Muzukashii, thankfully), and the requirement was to get 765000 points... if you clear it, he gives you 876 Yen. What.

You can find it by defeating Tenyou no Mai.

To get to Tatsujin notes on Metal Hawk you have to be ABSOLUTELY PERFECT in the first part of the song.

Also, about the drill....it's the hair you get after you finish Tenyou no Mai. It's shaped like a cone, and is actually a drill.

The password is used to unlock stuff. Namco'll probably give out the passwords in due time. One of them unlocks a secret song...the McDonalds song pokedigi mentioned earlier.

Kotatsu is that small table with the green blanket, and a plate of oranges on top. It's where the Japanese like to keep warm during winter.

You can get it in the farm below the mountain town. Melt the ice blocking the door (by playing the song Melt, no less, lol) and talk to the person inside. If you haven't done so already.

Crystalsuicune: I usually put a taiko bg as the other one you found in the tnm folder. But if I intentionally put a bg(I asked yukey to help me out this time), I will see if it affect the bg or not( as you said this time ,yes...)
And for the name of the composer Zeami<<, In my point of view it is better to put namco(Zeami worked for namco ,is that right?)
It is my usual practice to put Namco for a map that is found in ds/psp/ac/wii (whatever just namco)
For Japanese/Chinese word, well maybe you are right...but I always make (Chinese)+Japanese word for the title
Actually title of some songs originally is written in Japanese...I think It would be better to put the original name of the song to respect the artist(I'm not saying that you are wrong but ....it's my usual practice also)

Err the drumrolls and TaikOsu aren't really what's the problem here, but rather the HS changes; the current method of manually doing it in notepad is illegal atm, but with this option we can actually now implement non HS2 and HS0.5 legally on the BSS. Wait, so it doesn't concern you lol
