In other news: I have introduced a new DQ system - instead of the usual removal of the entry from the judging sheet, I will be putting them on the bottom with a red "DQ" score, with a note attached, stating the reason for the disqualification.
I will be closing the poll, thanks for all the input!
70% of the community thought its better for the finalists to choose their song, so it shall be!

Hmm, the notes I got on my scores hurt a little (voice sounding nasal and not caring about the song, as they're to do with my accent and style of singing T__T), but I'm happy to make 6th, even though I can't record from how ill I am right now. ^___^

I find that the nasal tone works for some songs and not others - my voice is also very nasally so I can understand if it's hard to try and get out of that when singing something that could work better using a more smooth soundset.
That said, I'm thinking it'll work well for the next stage, so own it up! I can't wait to hear what you record
