Animated GIF Software please?

I kinda need one, but I'm not sure which titles are the actual good ones, so before I fill my hard drive with useless installers and forget to delete them later, can you guys recommend me what to use?

Also, is there also something that can resize an animated GIF?

Now I question why do people have a GIF image as an avatar (like me)
it says only PNG or JPEG images but look at some users

Gif Movie Gear?

I remember using it ~~some~~ long time ago and i used it quite often.
It's only for gifs/animated gifs or converting other images to gifs.
There are some basic edit functions too, but i don't remember much.

I wanted a gif image as my avatar and I tested this one out and it worked
Also soradg123 had a gif image before

Wait, Photoshop can do animated GIFs?

Shame my computer can't even run it. God damn it.

Wonder if some people from PDN has stuff to make animated GIFs with.

What I do is I save by videos in windows movie maker and then use gifninja.com

Made this with it.

I use jasc animation shop 3.
Not the newest program out there, but it does its job.

Looks like that works well for movies, but if it's a bunch of images that aren't already a movie, then GIMP should be easy enough (you can do all the Photoshop and Fireworks stuff, but GIMP is fully free to download.
