Right,so I'm thinking of getting into making beatmaps and I've been reading a bit in the general help forum to try and pick up some tips, one thing I'm wondering though is about hit circle/slider patterns.
I'm wondering what is the best way to kinda mix up the patterns,I realize he same pattern over and over is easy and boring, and too much is just annoying,so does anyone have any pointers to sort of a good combination between fun and at least somewhat challenging?

It's all about thinking of interesting patterns. Try to map most of it originally using different patterns, but you could copy/paste and flip the choruses EBA style if you want, for instance

Also, copy pasting small sections then making variations to the pattern (Moving objects, changing the order of them as long as it fits, etc.), can be interesting and feel consitent without being too repetetive.

You could use more mapping techniques.

Just make sure they fit the music, don't include streams/jumps to make it harder on purpose =[
