Because I could see scum-slaini shooting me because I looked pretty town after yesterday as well as being adjacent to him as a plausible theory, only to find a nokill coming into today, and this opens up plenty of opportunity to out a doctor to direct for his buddy.

I just pointed out that there is most likely one that targeted either you or me (rather you, I don't really see any reason to protect me after yesterday) and used this for my conclusion. Let me spell this out for you slaini.
I claimed to have heard you make sounds, and you claimed to have heard me make sounds.
That means-
A) One of us did something and is lying
B) Both of us did nothing and are telling the ttruth, one was targetted by a doctor and scum and the other was targetted by some random thing?
So lets suppose you did an action to try and kill me that didn't go through! That means one of two things- A) I'm a bulletproof, or B) I was doctored. So, by claiming to have heard sounds come to me, that would require (after ank's prompting) someone from town (hint: a doctor) to have claimed to target me, thereby outing himself.

even if you just claim the target, if someone claims to have targetted person x that the kill didn't go through on, then what do you think scum will do.
Scum don't always have to kill. You're ignoring a scenario where scum could have targeted one of you (ie: investigator/tracker/role blocker etc) while the doctor targets the other.notscience wrote:

Slaini's story seems very possible, however I'm pretty sure he's got Drezi being scum wrong, because of the fact that Drezi carrying out the kill would make a lot more sense than Ace. If Drezi is scum (Which I find highly unlikely due to Jess doing the kill yesterday instead of Drezi), then Ace Timing was targetted last night, but I'm not sure who by (Unless he's a JOAT, which he really should've claimed at this point if he is, considering the doctor ability is one shot anyway, I'd assume).

Hey everyone, Why would scum slaini target someone after that lynch on jess d3? The only thing I can really think of is if he was targetted to shift blame on him. I find it highly unlikely given the fact if slaini is scum, then scum would make slaini kill, especially after NS heard sound from Jess.

I'll vote ace (MB + Ace are my main scum reads when I'm running under the assumption that scum chose not to kill last night. My read changes when I assume the kill was stopped. However, both scum reads include MB)

I'm thinking it might be the meaning of the bolded name, maybe some ability that gives someone a doublevote, or a motivator kind of role, that isn't detected for some reason I'm not sure of. @MB I've been thinking of what the bolded name could mean, and I thought of an interesting scenario: a one-shot arsonist. Think about it, if an arsonist douses someone, the person is usually notified, and this could be the notification, except in this case made public. Now the most immediate refusal to this would be, "but this didn't happen N1!". A possible explanation for this would be that the arsonist is mafia aligned, and scum decided to use tonight to perform two kills at once, but one was thwarted by a doctor, or the alternative that they simply chose not to perform the night kill because the goon that they could use to make kills without worrying about losing a power role is gone and they don't want to risk having someone hearing the nk. I'm sure there might be holes in this theory, feel free to point any out.

Now when the day starts, someone says, "I heard a sound from jeff"
You don't know who exactly made the sound, but based on this, you could reasonably conclude that you heard sounds from Jeff, even if there was a possible chance of you hearing craig.
So with this assumption in mind, you start an unrelated argument with andrew, and with your new assumption that Craig didn't make a sound because Jeff did, you make an argument involving assumption.
This is basically the situation. So I don't think I lied about it, but you may think otherwise.
