We need to get Agent J into this year's GameFAQs Contest.

I think you need an account, but it's worth it. Agent J got in last year, and he was beat down massively by SFF. SFF is the Same Fanbase Factor, and seeing as J was against Link, Bidoof and Edgeworth, it was obvious that he was hit by Nintendo SFF.



However, people don't acknowledge this and just conclude that he's weak. NOT TRUE! He has a huge fanbase!

...A fanbase that's struggling to get him in again, but hey, last year he made it in over Tifa, Seifer and Diddy Kong! We can do this!

Those are excellent choices, but people are nominating Layton under the name "Professor Layton," so your's might not count.

GameFAQs is too damn strict like that.

Guess what? Agent J is in the top 200 thanks to supporting follower such as yourselves! But if only 128 make it in... Then... Uhh...

Zack is from 1998 (1997 JP?) unless by newcomer you mean newcomer to the battle thing

imo Sho Minamimoto or Sanae Hanekoma would be fun. If the King of All Cosmos was a contender it wouldn't even be a match any more.

Yeah, Zack is a newcomer because he never made it in before. Actually, the entire cast of FFVII is up for a spot this year... except Barret.

To get a level 15 account, you just create an account and don't do anything bad for like a day and then it will get bumped up from 10 to 15. It's just an anti-flooding measure so you don't make 20 level 10 accounts and then go troll somewhere.

Also, the top 200 as updated and we're seeing characters like Sackboy from LittleBigPlanet, Kuja from FFIX, Cammy from Street Figher, Nero from Devil May Cry 4, Spyro from Spyro the Dragon,and both Big Daddy and Andrew Ryan from BioShock. Tough competition, but nothing J can't handle.

I don't have much hope for J, nor do I care. EBA was a good game, but I hated the characters.
Still, he has my vote (well, one of them...)

It's not about who wins, it's about getting in the right cast of characters.

Nobody really pays attention to the final rounds anymore.

Yes yes I worked on the Bidoof movie. I got caught up in the fad and I was friends with the guy who made the first few comics, so I helped him make a movie.

I AM ASHAMED I HELPED BUILD BIDOOF INTO THE J-SMASHING JUGGERNAUT HE IS TODAY.

It'd be cool to see an actual battle rather than a popularity contest. I think the only one in Agent's list that's a threat to Kratos would be Rayman because he couldn't be decapitated or have his limbs severed off and used against him.

I run a small spinoff called "Who Would Win in a Fight?" that parallels the contest. I might not this year because last year was just people crying about Sonic vs KOS-MOS.

Also, I tended to fudge things towards characters I liked more, and I gave Phoenix Wright all the powers of Inspector Gadget but broke Bomberman's legs just to see Phoenix win. People didn't like that much >_>

Well, he didn't make it, but losers like Sandbag got in. And Hogger. Who the hell is Hogger?

Also, three FFIVDS characters got in... Normally I wouldn't suspect anything, but the admin's favorite game of all time is FFIV and he hangs on the FFIVDS boards. If he pushed those guys ahead of J just for himself...

Looking over the bracket, this is easily the worst contest ever put together. Bacon just threw a new character in each match, taking spots from contest regulars like Yuna, Rikku and Aeris. Hell, Lara Croft, gaming icon, isn't even in there.

Also, the fodder. Psychonauts was popular two years ago, and I know for a fact that there was no rally for him. How did he get in when there was an actual rally two years ago when his game was fresh?

Next, the returning fodder. Laharl has gotten in ever year since 2004, but how did Wander, who everyone had given up on, get in again? Most likely, Bacon threw him and some other characters he likes in as filler instead of going with the nominations.

Lastly, the jokes. I get it, L-Block was funny, but joke characters thrive in this format; stealing votes from other characters and pulling to first. One or two is fine, yeah, but eight? Do we need Sandbag? Jinjo? Please.

How in bloody hell did CATS make it on?!

And I'm going to bet that L-Block makes it to at least the semis, if not wins outright again. Mudkip might give it a little trouble tho.

I would have laughed maniacally if Reimu had made it in, especially since it's a JP-only game. I would have also laughed if the Main Character of Persona 3 made it in, because he has no canon name.
