Finally married one of my ships \o/
Good news to those who wants to sign up for this game. DMM has finally setup a lottery-free server, so you're free to sign up whenever you want to until the server gets overloaded. Lottery will probably be a thing again when that happens. Other than that, I've recently been powerleveling a lot. Trying to powerlevel CVs now for the Summer event.

So the update gave us Tatsuta summer CG, Amagi Kai dmg CG update (I am totally okay with that), Isuzu AA CI without the fire detector, Fusou and Yamashiro summer lines, and Agano-class and Verniy buffing.

Technically speaking, I got 64 ships ready for it. Still, what the hell, the amount of CVs required is INSANE.
I hope you guys are patient, don't do bullshit, and stay well-informed about it. We can do this with some serious perseverance and planning !

E7 Boss Air Defense DD Hime has wtf 395/333 armor with 255 hp in the hard mode. Before the final round one BB Hime and in the final round two BB Himes go with her.

About the comp, they are seriously mocking us, there's no way that even Easy mode can be cleared by most players, it's downright stupid.

Cross that bridge when you get to it, worry about clearing your current map first, then the next, then the next...
Cleared E1 taking north route with CVL and BB since I don't have Kikuzuki, and then reused all of them in E2 surface fleet and cleared it with 4 clean kills. Based Kiso wiping CL Oni out almost every time when the lv50 CAs I brought in to conserve good ships usually scratched

I didn't really take part in the last one, so I guess this is my first event. Considering my experience and ship levels, I decided to go Easy mode. E-1 was easy because of Kikuzuki. But E-2 was crazy hard. I have no experience with combined fleet and support expeditions, it took me more than 10 sorties to clear the map.

Nowaki is just another "rare DD with nothing special" but still her stuff while Kai'ed isn't that common either.

Cleared E-3 on easy thanks to Kitakami-sama for her torpedo cut-ins and Kongou for aiming at ships she should've aimed.
Notable drops: Shoukaku, Zuikaku, Kongou class BB.
I'm happy I managed to clear E-3, but I can't handle 500+ fuel every sortie and 10+ buckets every map. E-4 might be the furthest I could do for this event.

Jokes aside, I'm planning on doing the event on Hard, although I haven't really started yet because of the extensive ship locking. I'm trying to sort out my fleet assignments but it's kind of hard when there's barely any information out there yet... :/
Also I haven't really progressed or done anything with my ships since the last event so that should make things fun ._.
Was going to start E1 tonight but then I realized that I had just sent out Kikuzuki on an expedition that would run into my bedtime so I couldn't do it derp

I'm going to tackle E-6 right away. Things were smooth on my side thanks to RNG. Here is what I used at the moment, assuming your fleet is big enough to allow that:
My ship schedule ! (yo E-6 is false yo)
E-1: Bring Kikuzuki for laughs & branchings. (A-D-Z route, 1 battle, 1 rsc node.) Support fleet if needed/if you want the easiest sortie possible.
E-2: 2 BB/2 CA(V)/2 CVL + 3 DD/1 CL/2 CA (A-B-E-G-Z route, 4 battles including a sub one) works rather well. Given you literally have no enemy carriers on this route, load bombers on the way and wreck everything. Hard last dance can be tricky, but nothing impossible.
E-3: Bullshit map. Medium has the Hard enemy comp as last dance. (2 CV Onis escorting the boss) 2 BB/2 CV/2 CVL/ + 1 luck DD + Akizuki, Maya, Kitakami, 1 CL and another DD can do the work. (A-C-E-H-Z route, 3 battles including an aerial exchange node) It's RNG heavy here so don't hesitate to go full support fleets to help you out.
E-4: Cleared it in Easy. Medium was already too bullshit (yet less sanity draining due to rsc loss being way less hard on you). Kongou+Haruna or Kirishima+Hiei/ 2 DD/1 CVL full Reppuu/1 CA(V) can make it.
Ta double line becomes Ri double line, and double red-glowing Takoyaki wo become double weak elite wo. Big difference between medium and easy.
Go to yasen nodes for final since it becomes slightly easier. Don't forget support, it can easily bring down 2 or 3 ships. (they are rather weak)
B-D-F-H-Z route prefinal and B-D-E-G-Z route final.
E-5: Far, FAR easier than the 2 last ones. Akitsushima/3 CA(V)/1 DD/1 CV can easily make it, you don't even need BBs. This comp is thus rather cheap to deploy and can be spammed for farming. (ROMA/YUU DROP HERE APPRENTLY SO YES..... FARM THIS MAP)
E6/E7: CLTs are banned from E6, you will go to a dead end right away if you have one. I don't know about E7 however.
It's been rumored that killing Wo Kais and Installation boss in the same map before facing AD Princess can lower her armor.
So far I can tell that E-3 and E-4 are complete hell and should be avoided in higher difficulties if you don't want to waste too many buckets for nothing. Rewards aren't that great compared to the stuff we had in Spring. (No BP ships it seems this time)

E3 Hard Final doesn't look different, but in reality AV Hime as been buffed by quite a lot including +20 armor
I'm 80% sure clearing E3-X weakens her armor, too. Went from scratching her in the day to being able to knock her to Orange, after I cleared E3-X 3-4 times.

I forgot I also needed Takanami. That didn't take long at all, 24 S ranks for the trio.
Around 8k Fuel/Ammo, 6k Steel, 37 buckets.

I've been at E7 hard for about 24 hours now, and I'm at a loss of what to do. Entire fleet 90+, sparkle everyone, use both expeditions. I've wasted about 30k fuel and ammo for a measly two and a half kill. Sub node oneshots me, map sends me the wrong way. It's just a big mess of RNG. Like what am I supposed to do? I see people completing this map within a day, and they say it was "tricky". Am I really unlucky or what lol? I've made it to the boss probably about 5% of my runs and I just don't understand how to handle this amount of RNG.
There are many useful informations to weaken the E7 boss (and maybe lead you to the boss too) now:
From the official twitter we know that there are some ways to weaken the boss, and the effect will be reset at 0:00 UTC+9 every day.
From the further test, we're quite sure that getting a number of S-wins on K,X,Y (or C,K,X,Y) points on E7 can lower the armor of boss on the server side or other effect to help you to take impactful damage to boss.
It seems like before C,K,X,Y points are killed enough times, the routine is random, so if you are going to the wrong way, just treat C,K,X,Y points as boss nodes and kill all enemies. After many runs, the routine is going to be certain (E-G-J-M-Z). Make sure you clear these nodes in a day of Japanese time or the effect will be reset.

Carrier goes center 70% of the time which is preferable
Surface goes south 70% of the time which isn't good, but Akitsumaru guarantees D -> H it seems
And yes clear K X Y a few times it's the only way to pierce her armor, her natural armor is above the fucking NB battle cap

I managed to get a clean kill but that's all, the boss bar exactly is at 69% (657/2040, I keep every screen of damage I did to the boss.)

I managed to get to final kill on hard before I went to bed yesterday, but my resources are pretty bad. So I stopped playing and started collecting, hoping that one final push at the end of the event will be enough to complete it.
Even if I actually didn't do 8 damage, it's pretty funny to think I did considering her armor.
(Also kudos to my level 96 Bismarck whom I STILL don't have a blueprint for Drei)

Got my final EZ kill after 450+ buckets and a hell lot of rsc spent in that shit. I regret nothing, really. Gonna make a huge collect and do nothing for a moment tho :3/

If you guys haven't already, use http://aircalc.net/ to find the most optimal plane setups since it supports the new plane mechanic. Double chevron on greens is a flat +25 air power boost so putting them on small slots are actually better now. Leave the bigger slots for bombers so they don't get wiped out by Tsu-class nearly every time and can contribute to good damage. I managed to bring 5 slots of bombers total for E6 (3 CVs), and every one of them were >20 slots. Still managed to AS on air node and AS+ on boss node

Only 1 kill is apparently needed, but once again people speculate that killing them several times can lower her armor even more (and this time, the displayed value wouldn't be the same as the real one.)
About how to get to those nodes.... ha, hahaha, HAHAHAHAHA, you'll see them enough anyways, the routing is freaking random all over the place. The only known branching is from D to H, which guarantees this by having Akitsumaru in your Main fleet.
CTF has better chances to reach the boss since it has higher chance to go E from the start, but beware, you'll be facing a double Wo Kai in Diamond/Double Line in M Preboss.
STF has better chances of killing the boss. Unfortunately, routing issues are a bit worse than CTF. You'll be facing a BB Hime as L Preboss with this fleet.
Both types can deviate to Y instead of going to preboss as well.
As additional information, don't even think about CLTs, they will lead you to the C dead end.
Don't lose too much sanity.

I really enjoyed it, then I realised I wasn't enjoying doing E7 Hard at all. I want to move on, and actually play some other aspects of Kancolle (farming, grinding, doing a variety of maps etcetc) instead of constantly having to wait for morale after failed runs.

I killed boss on X and Y node 3 times both then start to kill the boss, and when I go the south routine I killed Harbour Princess then go home (I used CTF and it may go B-X-D-F-... on about 25% chance) when I finish e-7 I killed: X - 7 times, Y - 3 times, C and L - no.Jinxy wrote:

Abukuma is not a must, Jintsuu or other Sendai Class Kai Ni is okay too, even Kuma Kai with high level is also fine, but you may need to take some kanmusus who can Cut-In on night combat. I didn't spend a maruyu on my Abukuma before so that hit was just a surprise.
Both expeditions are needed! Don't hesitate to spend resources on them or you will spend more

Put the BBs more forward, and the DD/CA near the back to snipe in NB. CV on last slot because she can't NB.
everything else should be fine though I do question the use of the 381mm non-kai since they debuff accuracy, maybe use 35.6 or 41cms instead

I unlocked the map for fun but I don't know if I should clear it or just farm for shipgirls. So far I only got Suzuya and Kumano from farming in E-1 boss node.

I think I completly gave up on the game one of the thigs that relly annoyed me was that I always had to select the quest/mission each day with a max of 5 at one time.
Idk if i'm just stupid or it's different now, but having to select every quest and having it be a max of 5 made it just a hassle to play for me.
