Pippi-don's cute and all but... *sigh* It just doesn't feel like Taiko without the true Wadda-Don. :|
Customizable Taikos? That'd be cool. But, would it be that we could dress it up like in the console games (doubt it :o) or would be changing the color scheme?
Either way, I'm supporting this. Give the Taiko mod some love. :D

Yeah, a customizable taiko caracter, with a lot of clothes (Hatsune Miku taiko caracter :twisted: )

Clothes would just equal lag, but still a color template would be a good Idea.

This would be added by making it skinnable, then you can do what you want with it.
I think all of Taiko should and will be skinnable at some point.

I think the notes should be skinnable, but forcing it to stay red and blue.
And how many frames would be the character? I wanted to know that for some time :3

You can change the hitsounds in the skin for that you know and make your own custom skin, lol.

I'd use the Arumi hitsounds if it didn't sound so unnatural :/

That would be awesome~
+support the idea, I like playing in Taiko mode(even if I suck a it >_>), it would be great having skins for taiko mode.
And yes, I like Pippy drum, but a customizable one would be nice.

Touhou's cast is nearly all-female,and Pippi is female too.
So naturally taiko versions of them will turn out to be female..

Donko's body type ain't too suitable,so I went for Don/Katsu's.

Female Dons and Katsus still make sense; no one said that Taiko drums were gender specific anyway ♥♥♥

But I myself can't really imagine how male Donko/Katsukos would be...

I was going to do this with the hitsounds from flyboy's TaikoJiro, they sound a lot better to me.

And I don't like any of the custom hitsound mods from the DS games xD. They sound so off.

Many know that, though that's obviously NOT the reason why the seiyuu is female. Don is as male as he can get... though his disco/rock suits on Wii1/Wii2 sound really FUGLY. I mean, seriously... trying too hard...

I'm not sure what she would look like. But Hana-chan is already cute on her own, so... :3 ?

Plus, I have a feeling that if all the Taiko characters had Taiko versions of themselves, some would look VERY ALIKE, particularly Hana-chan and Kodama (Wii2), and then Botan and Kodama (Wii1) which would only differ in hairstyles hahahaha. I am curious as to seeing how ugly Waruru-don and Dokon-don will turn out to be though, ahahahaha~ Wait, that gave me an idea...

ARUMI-DON(ko?) PLZ, NAO! Also, Teruru-don.

Actually I have a wide imagination, but not yet enough to imagine what Taiko versions of anyone would look like... :/ lol.

To come back to the topic, if I remember, peppy wanted to keep some graphics proper to osu, and i think pippi don is one of these.

But customizable characters would be great 8D

Besides, the scrolling backround could be fun to customize too

I have some ideas to customize taiko:

Menu to change clothes
Just a menu in options to change the clothes. Each skin should have an online code, so everybody will see your taiko. (I explain below)

Online Taiko Database
osu! should have an online database to store all created (and approved) skins for taiko, to easily load the skin in online gameplay, for example.


I had this idea based on my other idea, "Taiko Online Gameplay"

Oh my gosh I have been wanting this ever since I started getting into taiko. I want to either be able to color it in the game or dress it up or something. I dont care, as long as it gets made some way! <3

Oh almost forgot if peppy is gonna do the modifiable character then maybe there should be a custom sound with it also (or voice) when you do a combo! Imagine Cirno Saying "BAKA!" when you break your combo!

Glitches may happen:
May the default taiko (pippi) is configurated to repeat the "pippidonmissx" like have milions of files...
If you stay like 1 second, it will turns pippi...
But, if you make like 20 misses, may don't effect much, only if you miss much...
Is there some ini file peppy?
EDIT900000: Now I saw this isn't the name of file, DON't do that..
The pippidonmissx isn't the file...
What is the miss file?
