Hi, here comes a random taiko mod.

  • [Kantan]

    You may change the slider velocity from 1.4 to 1.2 so that beginners can handle this easier.
  1. 00:13:085 (24) - As stressed sound can be heard here, add finish ? You did it at 00:18:111 (28) - as well.
  2. 01:19:996 (48) - consider deleting this note ? It would be nice to leave a short break for players after hitting the big note.
  3. 01:25:022 (60) - ^
  4. 01:28:478 - you may add k here for following the music.
  5. 01:33:504 (77) - change to d for pattern consistency ?

  1. 00:00:677 (2) - remove finish ? The current 1/2 D D d pattern is a bit hard for Futsuu.
  2. 00:13:085 (40) - Similar to Kantan, adding finish here would be better.
  3. 01:17:326 (63) - same as 00:00:677 (2) -
  4. 01:24:708 (86) - I think you may have missed the finish here ?
  5. 01:49:839 (162) - k here as well. A bit tricky if this is different from the previous 01:42:300 (144,150,156) - which are kats.

  1. 00:13:242 (60) - consider deleting this note ? It would be nice to leave a short break for players after hitting the big note. Also, the difficulty of the Muzukashii could be lowered by a bit.
  2. 00:42:143 (211) - d for following the pitch of the music ? It has a lower pitch than the next 00:42:457 (212,213) -
  3. 00:55:022 (1) - you may start the spinner at 00:55:179 - and add k at 00:55:022 - . It sounds better imo.
  4. From 00:57:064 to 01:02:090 - , try to make different patterns so as to show a better contrast to the part from 01:02:090 to 01:07:116 - ? Here is an example: move 00:59:184 (11) to 00:59:106 - and 00:59:420 (12) to 00:59:263 - , so a 1/2 triplet of k k d is formed.
  5. 01:19:682 (104) - I think you can add finish here, as stressed sound is present.
  6. One suggestion for the 1st kiai is that you can reduce the number of 1/4 kkk used, so the spread between Futsuu and Muzukashii would be smaller. Because of this, try to remove 01:19:839 (105,106) and 01:22:352 (120,121) - ?
  7. 01:36:959 (205) - d here would be great, as the rhythm is the same as 01:30:519 (168,169,170,171,172,173,174,175,176,177) -
  • [Oni]
  1. 00:27:692 (185) - k here ? The pitch is the same as 00:27:378 (183) - . Moreover, it will become more consistent as you mapped 01:34:289 (298) - as k.
  2. 00:41:514 (278,279) - swap these notes to d k ? It would fit both the pitch of the music and the snare sound at 00:41:671 (279) - well.
  3. 00:55:022 (1) - same as Muzukashii

    The use of patterns are quite consistent in general. Good.

  1. 00:16:069 (137) - d would be better imo, as it does not have the sound like 00:16:226 (138,139) -
  2. 00:41:122 (356,357,358) - kd k would fit the music in a nicer way.

01:28:478 - why isn't there a note here, at the end of this significant part of music? it just seems awkward as is. Yes, you denied this on Nardo's mod but it's still something to think about because players still need cues on the main beats

00:44:970 (118) - + 00:47:483 (124) - + 00:49:996 (130) - + 00:52:509 (136) - + 00:53:294 (138) - maybe make all of these kats as they all share the same sound as other notes which use the bass (or w/e it is idk). if you disagree with one of the notes it's likely you're not gonna change anything. Also consider this at the ending part of the song.
01:01:776 (14) - perhaps make this a kat instead? it wouldn't make the pattern look nice but it's good for pitch relevancy and variety imo
01:15:284 (56) - perhaps make this a kat to match the snare which is also used at 57? don't change the pattern before it if you don't think it works but do consider this
01:17:169 (62) - I recommend either making this a normal don or removing 63 as Ddd on 1/2 in a Futsuu doesn't play too well imo
01:27:849 (96,97,98,99,100,101,102,103,104) - perhaps simplify this pattern very slightly for beginners? maybe remove 100? idk how to explain it other than playability for beginners

00:01:462 - Why is there a gap here that's not present in the Futsuu? ._. it makes the transition a bit odd
00:53:923 - perhaps add a don here for transition to the 1/2 double?
01:01:462 (22,23) - why is there not a 3/4 pattern here even though there is one in the less necessary bits?
01:07:588 (50) - perhaps make this note a kat for following the snare like the previous note? also kkd works a bit more nicely in a Muzu imo~

The mapset was selfpopped due to some changes we introduced.

We introduced the beginner difficulty and added a few notes to Kantan (which is the main reason for this, so the quality of Kantan is higher), also changed some parts to have more consistent pattern logic.
Made some small changes in Muzukashii diff too (removed the slowdowns, because they would clump up notes too close to the finishers on widescreen).

One more thing for Beginner diff:

Disable widescreen support and this should be good to go.

The mapset has all the maps on the harder side, expressed mostly with pattern length rather than complexity, so the beginner difficulty was needed to make a proper beginner map to fill the spread correctly.
