Many people will dim the background because they don't want to see the background, video or storyboard right? Well, when you set the dim to 100%, storyboard and video will still process! Now I am aware that there are two buttons for both of these things right there, but wouldn't it be really convenient for people who don't actually do that all the time, like if they play every mode every now and then? Personally, I main taiko, so SB and BGV (background video) doesn't bother me there, or in mania, but then in standard and CtB it's slightly annoying. This concept here would be very helpful if it was all the same map as well, as a convert. I know this probably won't happen, but it's just a thought ^^

EDIT: I didn't put the reason in the first post, it's because if you dim the background without disabling storyboard or video, the lag is still there. I know there's settings for that, but I'm not the player that just turns off every storyboard and video with the settings; I actually enjoy it fairly often despite lag. That's the point of this post ;)

Uhm, but if you dim to 100%, you don't see it anyways, so why is it annoying otherwise?

I think he meant to disable the video and / or storyboard when the dim goes to 100%.

For those who have dimmed to 100% they can go disable videos and storyboard in the Options. This will disable them to every beatmap, so you don't need to disable them every time.

Oh right, I should put the reason why lmao xD I mean, because when it still processes, it lags a bit, and it's annoying to have to restart after disabling it. I know it's probably dumb, I was really tired when I made this post, but that's my reasoning. And as for sheela901, yes that's what I meant, it's just a bit more convenient because personally, I love some storyboards and don't want some videos and that disabled because they won't cause much lag in certain circumstances (as far as I know anyway; I don't really know why that happens.)

Ah, against lag
Then I understand and like this request :)
