Alright so I've been looking for something specific but instead of creating a useless thread asking for that specific thing I thought I'd make one for people to make general requests for specific kinds of music they're looking for. If you're looking to get into a genre and need recommendations, or have a request for a specific kind of sound, leave it here and hope some kind person is able to come up with something that might fit that request.

I've been looking for some east-Asian post-rock with traditional influences but haven't had any idea where to look.

Actually I find somewhat difficult to find anything with traditional asian influences except for traditional asian music =p

I myself am looking for new genres to get into. Anything that sounds weird, highly happy or dark (or both, if possible)
Also anything that is weird enough, not similar to any other musical genre. I'm looking for the more underground genres over there, perhaps those that only are knwon in certain countries and not worldwide. Any recs?

^ Youtube doesn't have a link to a full album, I'd suggest you listen to Yage - Woodlands of Old. It's got this eerie sound to it, somewhat dark, but uplifting at the same time.

It's a really interesting sounding psychedelic rock album with really heavy paganistic/tribal vibes.

If you're looking for dark and twisted you should check out Coil.
