[invalid] Jpeg Compression behind username and text alignment issues

Problem Details:
Jpeg Compression/banding behind username/rank and a strange bounding box that causes the same effect if you have a dark background.
Poor HUD alignment on song select screen.

It's pretty hard to see in screenshots but it should be noticeable

osu! version: 20150414.2 (latest)

The song information could be spaced vertically to make use of wasted space and prevent clipping issues.
The selection buttons could meet the right side and be made narrower to line up with the drop down lists.
Group and Sort text are unaligned with the buttons and could be scaled down slightly if necessary.

It depends on your monitor, my monitor makes it show up more than most (BenQ XL2411T) but that doesn't change the fact the artifacts are there to begin with. If you go ingame you can view it yourself, the screenshot is probably just compressed with reduced contrast.

Nah, i just can't, my monitor sucks at contrast.

The renderer has been changed in Beta and Cutting-Edge. See if it's fixed there, although I can't notice anything.

The supporter heart icon has grainy glow, so yep at that.
Then some of what you pointed at were overlapping objects. (Menupulse and letterboxing in the menu.)
And the rest I simply cannot see, even when looking at my own screen or using photoshop to do some magic in order to see it more clearly.

As for the alignment stuff, that could be improved, yeah.

no idea where you are getting "JPEG compression" but it's not from osu. probably your screenshot app.

everything else is moot due to redesign coming.

It's behind all the text elements on song, around the pulsing osu logo in the bottom right and behind the osu direct tab (when the game loads up), they are probably text boxes on like a few percent opacity or something but they definitely there.

I had to increase the brightness of my screen to make the camera pick it up but it's very easy for me to spot irl.

This issue is not resolved just because it doesn't show up on your one specific screen...
