Question to any japanese person - what is the proper way to learn kanji, and is there a list or something similar of the most important kanji characters? I kind of learned hiragana and katakana out of boredom, and i can understand about half of what's spoken in animes, so i thought about learning the language for real. However when i checked out kanji's on the net i was like ugh.... So how do you learn it in your country?
Fluent in Finnish, Swedish and English. Currently studying Japanese by myself when I have time but I'm still quite bad at it. (I'll major in Japanese in uni) A little French, like I know how to keep simple conversations, like buy tickets and so on.

French as my mother tongue, and I think I'm fluent in english, even if sometimes I don't know some words or don't know how to say what I want to say.
I'm also learning Japanese, but I do not know much and am far far from able to speak with someone x)
When life offers you a dream so far beyond any of your expectations, it's not reasonable to grieve when it comes to an end.
My french translation (but I much prefer the english original): « Lorsque la vie vous offre un rêve Ô combien préférable à toutes vos attentes, il n'est pas raisonnable de la pleurer lorsqu'elle arrive à sa fin. »
