Well, some of the osu! players have bad internet connection speed, like me. My 3G internet speed is only 128kbps.

That means I cannot download big beatmaps or some big files from other webs in normal way[browser]. Because after start downloading for a while, the download failed because of connection time out error.

But I still managed to download them using download managers like Flashget or IDM, because they build a CACHE file for downloading.
That cache file really helps because when the connection is timed out or lost, the file is still undamaged and can continue to download after the connection comes back.

But when I have to update osu! or sometimes change build from Stable to Cutting-Edge, the download usually fails because of the big file size and slow internet connection. So I ended up buying more internet packages to speed up the download, which I have to save my money in order to do it. But I'm a student!

So this is my opinion, I have 2 suggestions.

1. Make the updater and downloader CACHE-ENABLED like those download managers, it may file up the computer's space while downloading but it surely helps preventing most of the connection problems.

2. Or maybe you should include the MANUAL PATCH of osu! latest version in the web's download page, so that should help with anyone experiences problems with the original updating system, not only my problem but universal. And for slow connections can download them using external download managers.

I think this idea is better.
